It seems that new MM puts you with people from random parts of the world, i'm seeing people and corp i've never seen.
The lag is horrible.
I know there are not a lot of players active at the same time in each region, but please, before making teams check the player region (not what they have set in their options, their actual region), then all the rest.
Otherwise we will have even match on the paper, but uneven because certain player can't hit other players due to lag.

Cannot really comment much, but it would help if you gave a hint or two regarding your setup. Where are you physically located (region only) and which server do you use. I am in America and on that server. No lag. But that was my alt. 
I am in Italy and i'm on Europe server like i should.

I was thinking about something, but i believe it's not possible without a client update, even something simple as a rate the match button, where you can rate your last match, it would be useful to know if a match is balanced or not.
I've noticed something, when i play solo, match are more balanced, probably squad mutliplier need a tweek.
