Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember all Basic Frames to look the same, even at proto. So it wouldn't be super impressive to strut around in that.
Though I have had times in battle where I thought I was fighting your average Basic Frame noob and it turned out to be proto. I subsequently died because I went easy on him. Those few milliseconds of hesitation before I read the target intel can be used to one's advantage in some cases.

Frames are completely black when proto. At least the ones pre-1.8.
The Caldari Heavy Frame has turned into the Michelin Man MK2 throughout all tiers, I think. Not sure about the others. Check the marketplace to check out the colors. I think you'll find that the Gallente Light Frame at proto is quite sexy. It's like a proto Black Eagle. |
