Balanced matches mean it comes down to the wire and you have to keep pushing, pobstomping turns into a boring "Hunt-the-Rabbit" exercise and being stomped is extremely frustrating. What part of stomping, or being stomped, is fun? Tell you what, sign up for Caldari FW and play that exclusively if you want to be "excited" about being regularly stomped, or sign up for Gal if you love doing the stomping. Perhaps Atiim's second theory is correct though. Going up against relatively balanced teams doesn't prove as challenging as going against a full squad of protos or two. Nova Knives are best sidearm.

They get so used to just waltzing through the competition like they aren't there, when an actual fight comes up they get pissed. People so used to going 20-1, 33-4 now going 12-6, 19-8 etc. It's not going to be as fun for you when you are actually dying and have to respawn more than twice a match. This is what players such as myself who are still trying to "Git Gud" and have a 1 or sub 1 KDR deal with every time we log in. I know I'm not the best FPS player in the world, but going against squads of Protostompers fighting it out to see which of the 5 or 6 is going to bury me the second I spawn in isn't exactly fun either. It's nice to know some of the vets and better players are starting to feel the frustration. I'm on the opposite side of the fence as you OP. This is the most fun I've had since Open beta. I am actually getting to the point where I ENJOY playing again. Are there still matches where a group of Nyain San is going to completely obliterate my team and have a regular ambush match end up 42-0? Yeah, of course. But the matches where both teams are down to just a couple or zero clones going to the last second gets me excited. I'm able to run positive KDR on most of my matches, running primarily Logi because it seems no one else in Dust runs it anymore unless they are just running behind a Sentinel with a rep tool. Oh, and on a side note, my FAVORITE part of this million clone challenge? I'm running suits that cost about 5k on average. I'm dying 40 times and it doesn't cost as much as some 200K + suits currently running around protostomping. The fact the owner probably has 200 million ISK in his wallet is meaningless to me. This is nothing personal to you or anyone else on this thread, as most of the names I know and have fought against and respect. I'm a no name basically so most of you don't know me other than here on the forums. I just wanted to lend my 2 ISK and let you know that there are people on the other side of those stompings you put on who can't praise Rattati enough for this change. Thokk Kill. Thokk Crush. I can't believe how OP properly using amps and hardeners is, I killed 5 tanks, maybe more, I can't remeber. 32 kills with militia shotgun. OP? naaaaaah

I used to push for the objective no matter what the score, no matter who I played, but being the only guy pushing and dying 15 times pointlessly game after game finally broke me. I began playing selectively, pushing hard when it seemed worthwhile but just trying to cause mayhem when it didn't. That is what we saw for quite awhile, a push for 1 minute and usually the game was decide and we had 12 snipers in the redline. It will take some time to get people to believe anything has changed, especially since one sided stomps are far from rare and the vicious circle continues. Because, that's why.
DarthPlagueis TheWise 23	Posted - 2014.09.20 16:37:00 - [17] - Quote u got to realize the W/L and K/D ratios are going to drastically change the longer this system is in place it was based on a bad system and to be honest W/L ratio was completely broken i'd say K/D ratio is more accurate a measure of skill at this point it will take a while for the numbers to balance themselves out. they might never balance out for veteran players who have just such a dirty history of proto stomps

From the ten battles i've had tonight with my main character, eight of them had kaizuka sniper, dia farron1 and at least three members from 1.u.p on the opposite team. Anyway, i've played my thirty matches (one on each of my characters) so i can move on now and do something else slightly more enjoyable.

I made an alt and after graduating was placed into matches with well known players for the first five matches straight . I'm trying to play with this alt more then my main , I normally kill them within the first week but I'm going to try something different this time and hopefully with the boost from this event , my alt will be interesting . When I use it though , I'm placed into matches that I wish I were using my main with because the caliber of player is exceptional . If matchmaking worked then graduating players would face others of similar caliber . I don't get mad because this is just the beginning of this change so ... But in the instance with my alt , it seems like nothing changed . Delta should come with a SP or infantry SP refund so that a campaign for one is not needed .
