...I bought aurum again. $5 worth, to be exact. With it, I purchased an active omega booster. Consider it a tip for all of the hard work CCP Rattati, CCP Logibro, and CPM1 have put into the hotfixes.
Depending on how hotfix echo and foxtrot looks I might even go back to buying 30-day boosters.
Let me be perfectly clear: I still don't trust CCP. Hell, I wouldn't trust CCP Rouge with a half melted Hershey bar. I do trust Rattati and Logibro though.

When you go to a shop, do you consider that what you are buying will end up getting flushed down the toilet within a day or less?, no.
Spending is fine, don't let the broke people get you down.
By that lologic of spending being pointless, i guess going out for a drink is pointless yes?, going out and having fun is pointless yes?.

Nuggets last about 10 mins tops and end up being turd in the toilet.

I'm with you there Ripley. I said to myself after the Legion announcement that I would never spend another penny on this game. But they have me hooked on SP, and 3 million is tempting. Besides, $5 isn't bad. And the hotfix work does deserve a little something. lol

Oh I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. It's $5 well spent as far as I'm concerned.
Especially with the matchmaking update. I haven't been completely stomped since it rolled out. I've lost matches, sure, but I felt like I was being pitted against players of my skill level. I earned that loss, it wasn't thrust upon me. It was a good time.

I've also spent money on DUST recently and I have no regrets.
I have no problem spending money on a game that I play every day (or at least every day that real life allows me to play).

I still remember when Eve was going through some HUGE changes and everyone was screaming how doomed it was and the failure that was sure to come.
Dust is the same. It provides an experience you cannot get through any other FPS or game and its unique flavor and style is what keeps people coming back. It attracts a certain breed of gamer community that is just hooked.
Dust will die only in name and I hope they expand that experience in legion.
If its doomed and dead, please feel free to let the door hit you on the way out. We wont miss you I promise.
By the way, I spent the same amount this month that I do on my monthly eve subscription :) I am pretty sure I will get my months worth of entertainment value out of it too. |

Yes because spending a few dollars for entertainment purposes on goods or services that are perishable is ridiculous and unheard of. We should only spend money on things that last forever, like other video games..... uhhh ya. If you enjoy, and are not a broke ass peasant spend money on what you want.

I have you beat. I bought Aurum for the first time EVER because of this event. For some reason, I went $10 and bought a Seven day booster. I normally can't play on Wednesdays so I bought it Tuesday afternoon before I went to work. So I log on Thursday, Million Clone Challenge, Monday, and Tuesday before it shuts off. I'll get my Million bonus (hopefully) and am earning more SP in a week then I normally do in a month (probably because I'm playing as much this week as I normally do in a month). The bonus is definitely helping, seeing how quickly my SP is growing and growing. With the bonuses, especially if we hit 2 mill, (3 million bonus SP, seriously? Yeah, I can handle that) I will be able to proto out 2 more suits. Now I just have to figure out which suit I want to do besides my Sentinel; Assault or Commando?
