A feature I'm sure we all want to be put in the game: the ability to sell our various unusuable "salvage" back to fund our other items. I know this topic has been brought up various times before, and I'm not wholly certain I've ever seen a valid response to it. All I know is that the items we get ingame come from an Eve-side source (stations that sell Proto Assault gk.0 for example).
Without a straightforward answer from devs as to why this can't happen, I want to plead for this to be done come Echo, or Foxtrot. At least give an explanation as to why it can't be done. |

In lieu of this, there are those of us who want this (which is totally doable server-side). Before you ask, I am not 100% sure why we are getting no more client updates (I assume it is because they are devoting more dev time to Legion), ask CCP if you want a definitive answer (note, this isn't me saying that you will 100% get an answer from them).
I'm aware of that. I may not respond often, but I am aware of the whole "no more client updates" thing and other forum related topics, like your thread, which I don't fully agree with but understand the reasoning behind. According to what Rattati said some time ago, he said that client updates are not "currently on the table". Very recently, Rattati responded to a "How much do client updates cost?" question, by saying "Zero". It's clearly not money that's the issue, it's Dev time, as you stated.
In light of all this, I assume they might be saving one final client update for something quite substantial. We've already had some confirmation that Rattati wants to bring the old vehicle variants and modules back (torque for example), as well as changing codebreakers to high slots (maybe it'll be done with a client update). Regardless, if it is a client update that's holding them back, that'll be a good reason.
Of course, we need a dev to confirm this. |
