There was no exposition, the characters were inconsistent with reality and under developed, and overall it was shallow and felt rushed without answering anything.
Game play is ok, a nice break from Dust at least. But it's one-dimensional. There are no other roles besides slayer (no logi, no heavy, no vehicle specialization, no AV). The customization isn't that expansive, not nearly as good at Dust. There's no "corp"/group support, it's either play with friends or blueberries, no corp deploy or squading or anything.
PvE is fun and I really hope Legion takes a few queues from it. I really like the "random daily event" things, the open world roams with small side missions, etc. If this is what PvE is like in Legion, I wouldn't be the least upset that CCP copied Bungie.
Overall, it's pretty fun, but definitely not up to hype.

Aftet you beat all story missions the game turns out just like all the other open world game, repetitive and boring. There is no voice chat and pvp is far far far from balanced. If your not a high lvl you will get raped in pvp. So to all you destiny fanboys I laugh because this game is tertible other than the graphics whick do look good on pc and ps4. Are the story missions self-contained (like a single player game) or part of an MMO world? I've generally found MMO stories to be atrocious, with repetitive tasks that would never make it into a single player campaign, and loads of randoms running around doing the same thing you are, which totally breaks immersion. They're MMO (you can see other people at least) but there are instances I believe (boss battles especially). I'm also pretty sure that it isn't everyone playing on the same map, you may be lucky to see 3-4 people max in one area, and the maps are quite expansive so they rarely get in your way (I only ever run into others during the random special events, which you usually need other's help to complete).
