Lower the sp cost of all single variant weapons..for example the laser rifle.why does the lr take the same amount of sp as the ar? When the ar has 4 variants? RR has 2 variants for the same cost. Plc lr..all single variant weapons should have their sp cost reduced.
Why must the amar pay twice the sp..for all 3 rifle variants.
When gallente gets all four for the cost of one. Just one of the many odd inconsistencies that irks me in dust

It takes the same amount of SP to bring any light weapon from Standard to Proto. Lowering cost based off of variants would completely throw that off and make certain weapons harder to train. Why should I be punished for using an AR, simply because variants exist that I don't even use?

If that's your concern you should be petitioning for more variants of weapons that have few, rather than punishing those who picked a weapon that has variants, even if they don't use them.
Besides, The AR may have many variants, but I can only use one at a time.

Existing behaviors can be applied to weapons, so yes, variants can be produced.

Yes because laser rifles are so ineffectual that you need to have multiple versions for them to be good.
The three laser rifle versions are worth as much SP as any of the battle rifles. If you know how to employ them you ripball anyone in your optimal. |

Oh see now your just being insulting ..ccp isn't gonna make more variants ...Some weapons give you 4 variants for the same sp. As one I ser that as an issue..but if you wanna talk **** I can always wipe the floor with you

And I don't even understand what you trying to say here were you drunk..simple fact if the matter is..The game us not balanced in sp cost ...guns that have one variant should be cheaper than guns that gave 4 variants .. dust us the only game I've ever seen with such a huge inconsistency ..and insulting me doesn't change that. Performance aside it's imbalanced

I have no control over you feeling insulted, nor do I particularly care.
I disagree with your assessment and don't feel any particular need to candy coat it.
As for your ability to wipe the floor with me, again not caring. My feelings of self worth and confidence have nothing to do with my performance in a vidya game. Real life makes your e-peen irrelevant to me.
But you are the type that consistently feels insulted when people disagree with you. This isn't my problem. I feel no particular need to give you a hug and make you feel better.
The laser rifle in my opinion stands on it's own as a singular, unique weapon that is worth the SP expenditure. The lack of special snowflake variants does not alter that assessment in any way. |

As for your opinion I just woke up and what I got from your original statement you insulted my gun and me first calling me ineffective puff if you dont know any better thats matchmaking fault. My thoughts were simply on balance not quality of weapon...so no need to even go there ..lr may suck to most people but it's boss to me and that's not why I made this thread.
I made this thread because the sp value of certain things just seems wrong . With ar you get 4 proto guns for the price of one..
With most you get 2
With some you get 3
And tbh lr is the only one I can think of that only has 9 me of the top of my head...but regardless it's just am inconsistencies one that is in arguable ...whether or not you agree with me about it needing to be addressed is irrelevant the inconsistency is in arguably there.
Here is my +1 to fixing it
.I think they should lower the vs cost of the lr and any other 1 variant weapons ..it's not like the amar is going to get a 4th light rifle. Then ide just day combine them all.
but we do have allot more variants for our sidearm which would balance that out a bit...and I believe the gal has only the one sidearm...so that should be cheaper than say my 4 variant scp ..
+ I like the idea of new berries having lower sp cost weapons to spec..and again it's only logical ..

To get an ADV Variant of an Assault Rifle, you need Operation 4.

If the laser rifle was ineffectual I might give credence here. Unfortunately, if one takes the time to learn how to apply it, the laser rifle performs better overall than most weapons consistently, and SP is not a means of balance. All weapons have the same SP requirements, even the ones that suck inexcusably. All in all it is my assessment that there is no problem, which is just as much an opinion lacking evidence as your post saying there is a problem.
Just because you say it is so, does not make it so. Unless you can point to a mechanical imbalance with math, I'm disinclined to take the assertion that it is a problem seriously.

adding more variants should be the goal, if adding more variants would add to the game benefit for the laser rifle and playersin general. Reducing SP cost should not be. The laser is a stand-alone weapon that more than holds a place as worth the SP investment, and a proper user can utterly ruin a lot of days in rapid order.
