Any time equipment spam comes up it is about uplinks far more often than nanohives.
Uplink spam is so bad because every time a logi dies they can spawn and drop more variants while nanohive spam outside of the area of a supply depot is far more difficult.
Even tho I feel like the only thing that should be done to uplinks is reduce the variants by a few to bring down the total active per player it is a popular problem to discuss so something is going to happen.
My proposal:
Add a "cooling off time" after spawning on an uplink (not CRUs, objectives, mCRUs, or home spawns) where an uplink can not be dropped. I am not sure if this is possible via server side update but it is worth a shot. |

I am not sure if this is possible via server side update but it is worth a shot. You know, I have never experienced any "lag" as others talk about from excessive equipment even down in the hole. I have always managed to sneak a couple of Flux Grenades in there even if it requires sacrificing a scout suit. My record so far is 155 points off equipment in one throw. That is 31 pieces if you cant count. :) Let em bulk it up. Free points I say.
I do not experience increased lag with links and have even attempted to create it with a friend and myself dropping over 50 pieces of equipment in the supply depot room. Unfortunately link spam is on the forums chopping block which means something will happen sooner or later, may as well try to make it a better solution if possible.

This would severely inhibit peoples play style as well as either making it very difficult to have good spawns up consistently or very easy for trolls to wipe out the good links for militia links. |

Good spawns? I will let you know when I find good spawn.
They will likely be buried under 6 feet of militia uplinks thanks to people throwing down more every time they spawn. You will spend more time searching for them than it would take to spawn on the militias. |

I don't get why more people don't put CRU in dropships at least I can jump to the battle from a dropship or at least live 5 seconds longer then spawning from those death traps that Logis and scouts keep throwing down.
Because CCP refuses to award WP for vehicle spawns. Why risk 40k isk being popped or rammed for not even transport assist points?

Joel II X wrote:Limit team equipment to 15 deployed at one time. That means you either have 15 nanohives, 15 uplinks, or a mixture of both equaling to 15 (i.e. 7 nanohives and 8 uplinks).
Throwing down another one pops the last deployed equipment of that type (either nanohive or uplink).
This is my proposal.
This is begging for trolls. One guy can spawn in and throw down 15 at the redline sup dep wiping out every thing the team has in place. Anything based on a team limit will result in similar trolling. |
