If you receive this message, you have just killed me using:

- A sniper rifle;
- A dropship;
- A tank; or
- An LAV

Before the message is sent, I check the scoreboard, and make sure you don't have many kills. I respect people who are good at their roles, including snipers and vehicle users. So to receive the message is doubly shameful. It means that you are (1) using a tactic that doesn't require gungame, and (2) not even doing it well.

There is more. I do not type the message myself. All I do is select 'n' then press 'right' and 'x' a few times. The PS3 fills out the rest. So it isn't me writing the message to you. It is the PS3.

Think about that. This message is not from a third party, it comes direct from Sony. It has the official stamp of approval. Kaz Hirai himself is calling you a no gungame scrub.

Correct, I should have put REs on the list - I've added it.

You may have been top of your team but you went something like 15-13 (not sure of exact number but definitely kills and deaths were both in the teens), mostly standing on a roof dropping REs down. You have to admit that's a pretty bad score for such a tactic. Hence the message.

I think I went 30-3, using Six Kin BHMG and ACR. In our exchange afterwards, I said something like 'at least BHMG is a gun, hence gungame :)'. This was intended to be a lighthearted acknowledgement of the fact that I was using a slightly OP gun. I'm sorry you didn't take it that way.

I should also point out that, if you're a heavy at the moment, you HAVE to use the BMHG. Otherwise you'll die the instant you come up against a red BHMG. What am I supposed to do, leave my Gallente sentinel and proficiency 5 HMG to rot until they nerf the BHMG?

Anyway, to repeat, it was intended lightheartedly. I would've thought the OP would make it clear that I am not totally SRS about this message (though Kaz is ).

I'm either lying or demented because I couldn't remember the exact score you got in a game several weeks ago??? Okay...

For what it's worth, I am sorry I got your score wrong. But is it really a big deal? It's only a pub.

And anyway, I only send 'the message' to give both me and the recipient some entertainment. Most people seem to enjoy getting 'hatemail' - I know I do and several people have said so in this thread. But if some people dislike the message I guess I'll have to stop spreading the love
