Egbinger XI - Moon 3 Station
Molden Heath
Sovereignty of the Minmatar Republic.
'Attention all passengers, we have approached the docking station, please follow the indicated path to the nearest customs office. i repeat;....' from the rows of refugees, civilians going about their day, and the occasional guard with a semi-automatic tucked neatly into his hands, a lone female figure waited until the entrance to the station was near. then with a swift display of athleticism, hopped over the railings down to another set of walkways bypassing the customs office a 10-12 feet down.
a simple thing to do. normally she would go through customs as usual, just to prevent causing any trouble. this time however, they would only slow the figure down.
Once the coast was clear, the figure got up and proceed down towards another set of hallways, past the occasional drunkard and the shouts of a merchant advertising his wares. it was a merit that this person knew the place well, and within the span of 10 minutes of sneaking, running and climbing, approached a secluded area of the station, the dockyards. the dockyard section of the station was its prime feature, for the repairs of the massive ships that pass through the great wildlands. at its upper level, was a series of large walkways, outfitted with the equipment to carry and place the ships cargo to and from the staion. Even as the figure ran through the lower levels of the docks, she can see massive containers being lowered by the upper levels, the shouting of the workers was all too apparent if one decided to listen in to their conversations.
As the hooded figure came to a large clearing, the wristcomp beeped, and without hesitation she stopped and found a spot where it was easy to hide in; a simple light green empty container that had a small opening to its side. after crawling inside the container and making sure no one was around did she open her Wristcomp. on it was a simple message, from a friend dear to her, despite his origin.
Quote:"Hya'salia, I have the crew prepped and we have just approached the Estyr gate. the clones you ordered from Genolution we also managed to snag from the officials, but we dont have your copies, sorry. if there are survivors like you said are true, then we'll need to find a way out from your home systems. I've already sent the messages to Greyhound and the other members of our circle.
be safe and for god's sake, dont get yourself killed,
-Issac"
Upon hearing this bit of news, she exhaled and slowly took off her hood, revealing a battered and bloodied Hya'salia, the blood on her face had long since dried up but it carried unmistakable proof that something terrible had happened.
Reaching from behind she pulled out her personal weapon, the Sigis.
A product of Thukker ingenuity modeled to be a bulkier version of its clone counterpart, the Flaylock. loaded with powerful 14mm slugs instead of rockets, the Sigis fired with an insane amount of stopping power. Once she held it for her safety and a sense of security when going in her leisure clone, now so foreign and alien to her; her hand visibly trembled as she held it, adding to the fear slowly building up inside her.
Pulling out the clip, there were only 3 Sigis Slugs left in her magazine with 2, 12 round mags she carried in her Cargo pockets.
'its not going to be enough.' she thought and carefully slid the half-empty magazine back in its original place.
Using this chance to reflect on what had happened, she slowly slid down against the wall and slowly curled up into a ball. she had barely jumped into her leisure clone when she heard the door banging on her quarters. every instinct inside her screamed danger as she hid in the vent systems and clone jumped to another leisure clone. what happened next was the amount of sheer luck.
"they were unstoppable" she said to herself, a tear beginning to form as she remembered the wristcomp, it contained a copy of her essence, her consciousness, locked in digital memory. she had set it to automatically download her consciousness in the event of a breach like the one she suffered.
what was worse about the assailants was that after a brief firefight in which Junko was "killed", they had attempted to download her consciousness from her body.
It was, after all what they had wanted from her, the only thing that made sense from all this madness.
But by then she had escaped using the clone from the vents, hopping straight on top of a myron she had managed to dock underneath her quarters.by another stroke of luck, she had managed to fly off and latched her dropship onto a Prorator-class blockade runner bound for the Wildlands. only then did she realize the extent of this newer enemy.
she had no control over the situation. it was the exact opposite from what her bodies were supposed to do; give her a sense of power. the exact opposite from her immorality. now, with that power irrevocably shattered. she felt scared for the first time since she became a clone soldier.
but there is a slight hope that others may have survived their own ordeals, and have received the same message as she had:
'You are in danger, head to the station near the wildlands; no time to explain.'
Now she waited for any survivors, hoping that she wasn't alone in this predicament. or at least, wait for her close friend. |

Aboard the bridge of the small imperial shuttle, Spirit of Truth, Thal looked out over the vastness of space. The multitudes of far off stars and planets was an overwhelming sight. Their beauty was truly a divine work of god. As he watched the stars, Thal's head was racked with questions.
"Who were they? What was their goal? Were they a threat to the Empire? Why did they attack him? Were any other Templars at risk?"
His body began to shiver with fear, those men were like nothing he had seen before. Tall, imposing troopers, armor blacker then the void of space, weapons far more advanced then anything he had seen. He was on Myyhera III when they first struck, aboard P.I.E's battlestation. They were after him, and only him, and he was going to find out why. He had been given a leave from active duty to find his assailants, a small shuttle, and a team of Kameira soldiers. Though Thal insisted on flying alone, his commanding officers had thought otherwise. He looked down at his pilot, Palo, a skilled marksmen and tactician. To his left, on the navigators seat sat Dashon, a massive man by mortal standards capable of massive feats of strength, though nothing compared to an immortal. To the right of the pilots chair was Daka, a medical master. These were the troops entrusted, and he feared for them. The attackers were monstrous and ruthless beasts, attacking with speed, power, and intelligence. They last met the attackers in the Bleak Lands, where Thal's cybernetic arm was heavily damaged and he lost one of his commandos. However, there was a good thing to come out of the attack. Thal had killed one of the monsters, useing his custom built Nova-sword to behead one of the creatures. He refused to think of the assailants as human.
A massive space station appeared in the viewscreen. He had been summoned there by some unknown message, saying that survivors must gather there. He thought to himself
"Trap"
But had a gut feeling, and after nearly one hundred years a soldier, Thal knew to trust his gut. Palo turned around and said,
"Miles Vadam sir, we have docking clearance for bay two-seven"
"Bring us in soldier"
Thal turned to the crew
"You know the plan, fan out, find other immortals, stay hidden. We're in civilian garb for a reason."
As they approached the station, Thal packed up his weapons. A prototype SMG he called Flame Spitter , a prototype scrambler rifle designed to fold up as to be concealed, and his precious Nova-sword.
The ship docked in the bay and Thal led the crew out. He turned to them and said
"Walk in the shadows my brothers, may god go with you"
And with that, Thal pulled his hood over his face and pulled up a small cloth mask to cover his face. He and his men disappeared into the crowd. As he moved around like a snake, Thal pressed a button on his cybernetic arm, a signal was put out from Thal's communicator. The message said, "The Falcons have arrived."
"The Enemy has no idea of your true power. Let us show them! Thal to his men during the siege of Huola

Jonny was sitting at Mac's. It was last call and he was nursing his drink. It was his first bit of alcohol in months, but he needed the drink. His custom made tactical plasma rifle rested against his leg.
He looked older now. His hair was longer, shaggy looking. His rough beard was flecked with bits of gray. Dark bags hung under his eyes.
Mac was busy taking inventory. It had been a slow night, just like any other. But they knew it was. Mac knew this might be the last time he saw his son.
As the bouncer was about to lock the door, three men walked in. They were armed with scrambler pistols and a strange variation of combat rifles. The tallest of the three had his rifle strapped across his back and was holding a picture of Jonny.
Mac reached under the counter and felt the familiar shape of his combat rifle. 'Pub's closed,' he said narrowing his eyes. 'Come back tomorrow.'
The tall man spat on the ground. 'We ain't here for drinks old timer,' he said. 'We are here for him.' He pointed at Jonny.
Jonny finished his drink and stood up. He picked up his rifle. 'What business do you have with me?' Jonny heard his father slide mag into his combat rifle.
'An old acquaintance of yours sent us. We are here to escort you out of this station and take you to safety.'
'What proof do you have?'
The man reached behind him and took out an ion pistol. It was custom made with an extended barrel and a hair trigger. But what stood out to Jonny was the insignia on the grip, a silver skull with gray cross swords. The Mors Effera insignia.
Jonny looked the man in the eye and said, 'When do we leave?'

Molden Heath.
The nebulae outside the helm of the Vexor cruiser-class hull glowed blood-red, and did nothing to calm Vyzion's nerves. Despite being a confident dropship pilot, the starship's warps and stargate jumps made his stomach churn as he considered his predicament.
Past battles flashed through his mind but none equalled the ferocity of the assault he had faced against this unknown group. Hellstorm had finesse, ANONYMOUS had sheer power, but these people... escaping PIE's PR offices and making it back to Molden Heath was a close call, for sure. When he was finally cornered amidst the flaming wrecks of his dropship, all his known clones had been disabled for conscience transfer.
Of course, there was one he never bothered to list. Left aboard a ship entrusted to his little brother, housed in an mCRU designed for the Prometheus logistics-class dropship but modified for a capsuleer's starship, waking up in this clone meant for sure that Vyzion was once again mortal. This, more than the sensation of dying to an overcharged scrambler rifle bolt to the face, was what pained Vyzion. After all, he had had much practice with the latter against the Amarrians in the warzone.
The clone was housed, in fact, in the very Vexor he was in right now. Vyzion sighed, then spoke seemingly to himself.
"Little bro, how're we going out there?"
His earpiece crackled to life. "I've jumped through to Aeditide, and it's pretty quiet out here. Usually this place gets some activity what with your districts down on the planets. Seems like you aren't the only one in a pickle."
"Lucky I have you, huh."
"You alright? You've never acknowledged my presence to be beneficial to you in any way before."
Vyzion had to crack a brief smile then. "I'm going to head down and suit up. Thanks for this, Rev."
"Tell me about it when you're back. I'll inform you when we're ready."
Vyzion left the helm and headed through the ship's softly humming interior, heading to the drone bay. He arrived in the dimly lit space and hit a button to open a small compartment in the walls. From it he took two things:
A Six Kin Triage Repair Tool, and a small pouch attached to a necklace string. He holstered his repair tool on his belt, threw the pouch around his neck, and walked towards center of the bay. There, on its graceful landing gear, was a Grimsnes dropship without any turrets. Vyzion leapt up to the dropship and slid into the pilot cabin. The pilot dropsuit his clone already had on immediately engaged the dropship's systems, and this familiar rumble more than anything calmed the pilot.
Earpiece crackle: "Alright, I'm exiting warp at Egbinger XI - Moon 3 - Republic Fleet Testing Facilities."
Vyzion took a breath. "What if it's a trap?"
"There's nothing suspicious about your dropship flying around in the station hangars. Get back quick if something's suspicious, I'm ready to leave instantly."
Vyzion knew his brother was taking a massive risk, helping him escape his pursuers. If worse came to worse, the soldier knew he would never return and lead his enemies back to the Vexor.
Presently the bay doors opened, and bright light spilled in from the station. The Vexor was moving slowly as other capsuleer ships of all shapes and sizes floated by, heading towards a docking circle. Before it reached one, though, the Grimsnes ejected from the bay.
Vyzion scoured his surroundings, straining his eyes through the hustle and bustle of the dockyards to try find a familiar face. Surely, someone's here...

Thal walked trough the massive crowds of people. He heard the cries of children, the bargaining of shop keepers, and their customers. He found the whole display disgusting, though he found most mercantile pursuits repulsive. However, he wasn't looking at the market, something else caught his eye. He looked above a obvious hangout of scum called "Mac's Pub", and what he saw was a tall imposing figure, wearing all black armor, and a modified sniper rifle. He ducked into an alleyway a view structures down from the Pub. He had changed his current goal from finding immortals, to killing this creature.
As he started climbing the building next to the Pub, he activated his communicator.
"Falcons, converge on Mac's pub in section B-4, we have a hostile sniper."
Thal reached the top of the structure and ran over to the edge. The sniper had yet to see him and he had the element of surprise on his side. He pulled out his Nova-sword and closed his eyes. He whispered a short prayer
"Oh god, guide my blade, so that I may be an instrument of your wraith upon those who hunt your warriors"
Thal's blade charged and he leaped from the roof top. He fell upon the sniper, he's sword penetrating his skull. As Thal impacted, he used the snipers body to cushion his fall, but his weight, combined with the wait of the sniper caused the ceiling of the Pub to break.
He looked up from the dust and debris and saw three men pointing weapons at a Gallente immortal and an old Matari
Thal acted quickly. He reached under his cloak and pulled out the conciled scrambler rifle. He shot the three men in the back, and blasted the combat rifle out of the Matai's hand. Thal stood to his feet and pointed his scrambler at the two
"Name, Military rank, and mortality status."
As he said this, his Kamerias entered the building. Two stood by the door and one pointed his rifle at the pair
"We mean you no harm" said Thal.

Hope was beginning to sound as outlandish every second she waited inside the container. Hya'salia didn't want to risk anything to see if anyone was going to arrive. For her, every sound made, every object around hid a menace. Even she doubted her own senses to that fear..
For a while, Hya'salia was just a younger, more frightened version of herself before her R'annso io. Scared of the possibilities of the future.....
Then, just faintly a particular sound reached her ears, and instantly she recognized it. Somewhere in her past, she heard it many times before, in a life she never wanted....
.a faint humming of an engine, the roar of the twin thrusters. At first it felt like something passing by, but the longer she sat and listened, the more she was starting to become herself again...
"wait..... That's a.." The words couldn't be spoken, but she knows that sound as the humming roared overhead the container where she managed to hide.
A Grimsnes class dropship. In a low orbit search pattern.
Someone else had survived. And for a second, that part of her that waited so patiently roared in excitement. She wasn't alone, and it was time to act.
Within seconds, she flung open the door for her hopes to be confirmed; without a second more of doubt she scrambled up the massive containers, continuously hailing the drop ship to land through her wristcomp.
'cmon,...please help' she thought, hoping for an answer. |

The intercom in front of Vyzion beeped. A brief glance set his heart pounding. A Neocom signal.
He turned the dropship around and dropped the nose a little, and directly in front of him, standing on a storage container, was a Matari woman waving at him.
"My god," muttered Vyzion. "It's Junko."
Just as he was about to engage landing maneuvers though, a flash of black on his peripheral vision caused him to snap up. He spotted a dark shape, running around the pathways that led towards the containers.
****. **** shit ****.
Vyzion gritted his teeth and descended. He slowed to a stop right next to Junko, the Grimsnes' flanks opening as he did so, and waved through the cockpit windows for her to get in.

But once he landed he forgot about it, he was just excited to see That again. After a year apart, crownrule had remained in the same clone body miracoulsy but it came st a cost. His left eye was blind and his handsome face lost complexion and was filled with scars from the battles he had fought in, he had survived the matari onslaught back on the bleak lands that killed thousands of templars alike, that was there that he had lost everything. He lost his sanity there that day, he watched as templars left and right were murdered while he lay down slowly bleeding to death. He was able to stop the bleeding but was soon pinned by a destroyed dropship which nearly made him lose his legs. He laid there for nine days without any food or eater. After the ninth day he finally broke and began to laugh hysterically, it wasn't long before he was found by the enemy and taken captive where he spent the next two months in a matari mud pit. They would let him stand there in thick mud all the way to his chest and Bob his head back and forth into the mud. The templars had come back to reclaim the station and were successful, it was then that he was rescued and reevaluated and deemed worthy enough of service and was granted leave. He had now landed where Thal was believed to be and he sought out to find him. Crownrule scratched his beard and began to walk toward thepub when he saw a commotion. He raced ahead of the crowd and saw the man before him, he recognized that blade.
"That?." Crownrule asked loudly looking up at Thal. Crown rule felt his jacket begin to chafe and his boots became tighter.

Before the two men could answer, Thal heard a voice, a voice he hadn't heard in years. He turned around and was dumbfounded by what he saw. Crownrule, his old apprentice, was standing before him. A tear began to form in his eyes.
"Crownrule...your alive?"
Thal ran over to the young man.
"It's been to long brother. I never got you to form XII did I?"
A few moments of Silence followed. He motioned to one of his men to come over to them
"Remember how to shoot a scrambler?"
The soldier next to Thal and pulled out another concealed rifle. He offers it to Crownrule.
Thal turns to his squadron and says
"Ok troops, unpack the transmitter. Everyone else, fortify the Pub"
Thal helped his men unpack a small transmitter. He hoped he could use it to alert other immortals to meet at a centralized location by contacting their Neocoms with a repeating signal on multiple changing Frequencies.
"Ok, let's see who's home."
Thal activates the Transmitter, a signal is sent out to any Neocom on the station. The message said

Then she noticed him looking out behind her, her heart sank as she briefly considered the possibility.
They are here far too soon....
Without hesitation she dove straight into the Grimsnes as the side doors opened up. She slid for a foot couple feet before screaming "GO!!!!!" as her left hand slammed against the pilots door three times.
At the same time she pulled out her sigis and aimed towards whatever was behind her.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!!!!! the loud gun report from the sigis was enough to make Hya'salia's ears ring.
The dark figure easily dodged all but one of the slugs, the impact from that slug ripped the arm off their assailant in a explosive display of blood and gore, but the assault looked unfazed, as Hya'salia looked on In horror

Seated on a park bench, or sprawled out to be exact, the figure stared off into space. His eyes were unfocused, taking in no particular details. A black clove cigarette hung lifelessly from his lips. An oversized hood was pulled over his head, obscuring the details of his face. It was meant to hide him as well as to detract the unwanted onlooker. He had a badly cut lip and a nasty gash over the bridge of his now crooked nose. He was pretty sure he had a concussion. Blood spotted his already dirty sweater, a few drops had even found his jeans. His thumbs were loosely tucked into the pockets of his jeans. His hands were bloody and bruised, the skin on his knuckles was torn. Blood slowly ran down both hands. He continued to stare off into space.
He was still trying to put the pieces together. Everything had happened so quickly, it was all little more than a blur. He had received a disturbing message on his neocom. GÇ£Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!GÇ¥ It was an automated message set to transmit in the case of a catastrophic emergency. It could have been referring to any number of emergencies. It was the following message that had struck fear into his heart. GÇ£GÇ¥All the images of its gods lie shattered on the ground!GÇ¥ It was the first time in recent memory that he truly feared for his life. The message was clear and simple, he was no longer immortal.
Noah had immediately gone into survival mode grabbing his go bag and burning everything else. As he was destroying all traces that he had ever been there he received another message, this one was much simpler, GÇ£Breach Imminent.GÇ¥ The monitors near his desk showed several individuals of unknown origin garbed in black armor. The door to his quarters suddenly exploded in, skidding several feet before coming to rest. Noah didnGÇÖt bother to wait to see who they were. As the door was sliding across the ground and scratching his floor he blew the remote explosives rigged around the door. The explosion shook the entire room, and Noah could feel the shockwaves hit his gut. The pressure momentarily knocked the air from his lungs. What came next was all a mess. Apparently the explosion had only incapacitated a few of them. What ensued was a confusing and desperate struggle for survival. All he could remember was sudden searing pain followed by another explosion. He had gone into autopilot. The next thing he remembered was a suspicious message appearing on his neocom. Quote:GÇ£You are in danger, head to the station in the Wildlands; no time to explain.GÇ¥
A sudden soft vibration along his left forearm shook him from his daze. His light brown eyes suddenly refocused. Noah removed his hands from his pockets and moved them up to his face. A soft grunt was followed by a sudden cracking noise as he straightened out his nose. With a heavy sigh and a considerable amount of will he pushed himself up off his bench, grabbed his bag and made his way towards the docks. He took a long drag on the cigarette hanging from his mouth. It was time to go and find some answers.
****
Through a complex system of cashing in favors and greasing the right palms Noah had managed to make his way to the station. He had been on edge for hours, and the effects of warp and gate travel only exacerbated things. The fact that he now found himself in a throng of humanity didnGÇÖt make matters any better. By most standards the station was fairly empty, but in his heightened state of paranoia he viewed the situation in a different light.
GÇ£I would have prefered an abandoned station to this one.GÇ¥

Pulling up the station map the former immortal made his way towards the pub, but rather than blindly walking in he took up a position several buildings away, and began to assess the scene. In his rather vulnerable state he was allowing his paranoia to take over. |

Jonny watched as the amarr fell through the ceiling on the back of a dead man. The rudeness of his entry and the question irritated him. He raised his weapon.
Before it escalated further, he saw another Amarr enter the pub. Someone he actually recognized. He lowered his weapon.
'I take it the both of you are in the same boat as me.' He placed his weapon on the bar. 'Names Jonny, and that's Mac,' he said gesturing towards Mac. 'Now that we have finished with the pleasentries,' he grabbed his rifle and headed to the back wall. 'I think it's time we get the fuck out of here.'
He knocked twice on the wall and it opened wide. Behind the wall was a concealed bunker filled with Matari weapons and dropsuits. At the back of the bunker was a tiny crawlspace. The three men who found Jonny earlier were already gearing up.
Jonny walked in and replaced his Plasma Rifle with a modified combat rifle. He then picked up a submachine gun and holstered it on his waist.
As he was checking his equipment he started talking to the Amarrians. 'My father was a slave born Brutor. He fought for his freedom and when he came here, he opened this Pub as a front for liberating other slaves.
'That crawl space comes out right at the docks.' He popped a mag into his combat rifle. 'These three are mates from my old smuggler's ring. They have a ship waiting to take us to Jita.'
He stood by the entrance to the bunker. 'Gear up ladies, we have a long way to go.'

Vyzion didn't need telling twice. That last time he had to be told twice, the Valklear trainer repeated himself, then ear-clapped him so hard he was knocked out for a week and woke in the middle of a skull reconstruction. Needless to say, he asked the doctors then and there for augmented hearing, and he never misheard an order again.
But that story barely stirred up the usual amusement. Vyzion was now speeding rapidly away as Junko returned fire on the black-garbed figures below. Just before he turned away and lost a visual though, he caught a glimpse of blue. Then a crackling sound, and finally the smell of roasted almonds reached his nostrils.
A kittening forge gun. Great.
"Brace yourself there, Junko."
AURA piped up as Vyzion started mashing buttons.
Hardeners engaged. Armour repairer overheated. Afterburner engaged. Afterburner overheated.
...
Would you like to activate the air-conditioning, pilot? Because ****'s getting hot.
Vyzion laughed as he realised Rev had tinkered with this dropship's AI. Didn't last long though. He hit a button on his wrist and his Neocom linked itself to the dropship's windscreen. Bringing his left hand up, he pointed straight at the left of the windscreen and swiped towards the center. The mailing system engaged and a blank mail slid out on the holographic HUD.
As he was doing this, the dropship was hit by the first forge gun round. A small screen arrayed with his flight controls and instruments revealed minor damage to the bottom of the ship.
Armour resistance phasing... please standby. The armour hardener module redirected its reinforcement nanites towards the last area hit, and as the next shot came in, it barely registered as an impact. Vyzion sighed as he disengaged the afterburner and rerouted excess capacitor to the hardener. For now, the forge gunner could do nothing.
"Address mail to brother.
Contents: Leave the station, I'm as safe as I'm going to be. Found a friend.
Send."
The mail window dissolved from the HUD, and suddenly his intercom crackled to life.
Thal Vadam wrote: "Those heroes who never die, we stand at Mac's pub."
I recognise that voice...
Vyzion clicked on the receiver for the infantry bay. "Junko, guessing you just got the same message. What do you think? Those guys are here, could be luring us in. On the other hand, I've heard Mac's have the best chips in station."

Thal walked into the armory, examining the ordinance around him. He refused to wear a Minmatar dropsuit, he may respect the Matari as warriors and would never harm one of their civilians, he still was at war with them. As he shifted around he saw a gleam of golden light. In the corner, secluded from all the other dropsuits, was the armor of a Paladin, the elite Amarr mortal infantry. Thal quickly moved over and lifted up the set of armor. He slipped it on, a perfect fit. He grabbed a combat rifle and three ammo clips off the wall, placing them on his belt next to his concealed scrambler rifle. He pulled a combat knife from the wall as well, placing it in it's appropriate slot on the suit. He looked into the helmet of the suit, it's golden viewplate shining. He placed it on his head, the HUD lighting up. He threw the cloak back on over the armor and exited the weapons stash.

Jonny smiled and shook his head. He took put a cigarette and placed it in his mouth. He took out a lighter and lit his smoke. He took a long drag and looked around.
'Jonny,' the tall smuggler said, 'Slim ain't gonna wait forever. If you want out we need to leave now.'
Jonny looked at the man and said, 'Well you can tell Slim I'll find my own way.' He took another long drag on his smoke and looked at his father. The old man was preparing himself for a fight.
He looked down then back at the smuggler. 'Take my father to safety.'
Mac looked up at Jonny. 'Son, you know I can fight. Hell I'm a better shot than you!'
'I know pops, but you are the only one who knows where Marcy is. I need you to protect her.'
Mac was about to agrue his son, but he knew he was right. He walked up to Jonny and embraced him. 'You better survive this, or I will find a way to revive you only just to kill you myself.'
Jonny held the old man close and said, 'Love you too old timer.' With that, Mac and the smugglers entered the crawl space, heading for the docks.
Jonny walked behind the bar and poured himself a drink. He downed it in one gulp then started mixing the more potent drinks. After his concoctions were ready, he stuffed old rags into the bottles.
'Fire bombs,' he said. 'It may not kill them but it will sure as hell slow them down.' He handed one to Thal and another to Crownrule.
Looking at Thal in the Amarrian dropsuit he said, 'Remind me when this is over to tell you the story of that suit's previous owner.'

"You got it old friend....and that we will have to get back to my training this old clone body could use a refresher." Crownrule said as he followed that through the armory. He decided it best to grab a scrambler rifle and a grenade or two.
"Although I still have this beauty." Crownrule said as he unsheathed a long, glistening blade that had not seen combat in years. He held it once more and felt the power come off the tips of his fingers. He spins it around and places it back in its sheath which rests on the back of his waist. He puts on a tac-vest and fills it with ammo, he makes sure his helmet is on and that his tacnet system is on.

As the drop ship flew away she sat down against the pilots door in silent shock, oblivious to the forge rounds striking the ship.
' the second time I managed to survive... Maybe we do have a chance' Junko thought to herself, and then her thoughts turned to issac, who is arriving soon with her ship.'issac, please make it in time' she said in silent prayer, then she reloaded her sigis with the only full magazine and stood up straight.
Just as she was about to ask vyzion how he got here, the infantry receiver rang out. It was vyzion. She spent a few seconds listening to what Vyzion had said, and then nodded to herself. "well... We're dead anyways, lets bring down a few of those things with us, yeah? Alright, Vyzion; head to mac's, I'll contact whoever sent us that message."

Hunter Junko wrote:"well... We're dead anyways, lets bring down a few of those things with us, yeah? Alright, Vyzion; head to mac's, I'll contact whoever sent us that message."
"Roger that."
The Grimsnes' twin engines roared as he left the dockyards and entered the station's starship lanes. There were barely a handful of starships in the lane; the station was as good as deserted. Vyzion shivered.
Besides his dropship's engines, the silence was oppressing. As if the whole station was holding its breath, waiting for the storm to break.
In 1500 meters, turn left. Your destination will be on the right. Native Freshfood Reviews recommends the blackfowl stew.
Vyzion banked left and spotted the pub below. Angling towards the space in front of the pub, he engaged the thrusters, then rotated them to face the pub, preparing to slow the descent.
That's when he heard them.
Swoosh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sh. Any dropship pilot would recognise that distinctive noise. Swarm launchers.
So much for a smooth landing, he mused. A quick scan outside didn't reveal the telltale pinpricks of light that gave away the swarm salvo, so Vyzion manually redirected the hardener resistance nanites to the rear and belly of the dropship, keying the bay intercom as he did so.
"Hey Junko, I tore out the seatbelts a while ago because those damned Sentinel suits never managed to get them on anyway, so you may want to grab a hold of something."
And then everything went to ****. Whoever the assailants were, they realised a forge gun presented less of a threat to an armour dropship with a reactive hardener than swarms, which could fan out and hit multiple areas across a dropship's body at the same time, not to mention cause more damage to armour plating. Vyzion understood that much.
However, what he didn't realise was that these swarms were a little more advanced than even Wiyrkomi's prototypes. He realised something was wrong when he heard the second salvo eject.
Where's the initial hit? Vyzion frowned.
He redirected his dropship to overshoot Mac's pub, and spun 180 degrees. Nothing, no swarm missiles in sight, and yet another swooshing indicated that three salvos should already be in the air.
"Aura... engage swarm countermeasures."
Defensive anti-swarm salvo launching. Three tiny missiles launched from the top of the Grimsnes and began to circle the dropship, ready to intercept incoming swarms. Then almost as soon they established their orbits, they erupted. But before Vyzion could figure that out, the swarms hit.
There were 15 consecutive explosions in total. 9 slammed the left engine, and the remaining 6 hit the right. Usually, warning alarms and red sirens would be blaring everywhere, but Vyzion had long since torn those mechanisms out, preferring less chaos to focus on his task. The status screen revealed the left engine was all but destroyed and the hardener was utterly overwhelmed. The right engine remained barely functional, and immediately the dropship began to list to the port side.
The pilot's mind reeled. He trusted his senses more than anything, so there could only be one explanation. They had cloaked the swarm missiles. His interceptor missiles had done their job though; three of the swarms were detected by their thermal detectors, and kept the right engine alive; enough for Vyzion to retain some semblance of control.
His current trajectory meant he would slam right into Mac's pub. Assuming there were friends in there, they would all be wiped out, oblivious to the dropship about to rend the place in half. It confirmed two things for Vyzion. Firstly, that the enemies were professionals, to wipe out two birds with one stone (made up of a lot of swarms). But also that whoever was in the pub had to be friendly if this was their intention.
Which meant he couldn't hit the pub. Vyzion engaged the afterburner and hit the intercom again. "I really hope you're holding on for dear life, Junko, my friend." And with that he fully engaged the right engine, causing the dropship to move in an ungainly, upside-down 'U'. Vyzion braced.
The dropship slammed into the ground inches away from the pub, top-first, creating an ungodly screeching sound as it tore itself apart. It slid to a stop a few meters from the entrance, and observers inside the pub would've seen a small figure fall out of the cockpit, tear the bay doors out, and offer a hand to someone inside.
((Sorry about the long post but it took me a while to let go of my dropship.))

"TAKE COVER!"
He jumped behind the counter as the ship impacted just outside the building. The structure shook from its very foundation. Bottles of alcohol and other drinks crashed to the floor. A glint of light caught his eye from the collapsed part of the pub, though. Ignoring the others who were gathering around the dropship, he ran over and saw an armoured arm sticking out from under the Grimsnes. Immediately he bent down, heaved the rubble out of the way and found an Amarrian Templar, more or less crushed by the dropship, his vulnerable body prevented from being pancaked only due to the integrity of the dropsuit he wore.
Vyzion whipped out his repair tool and immediately began repairing the dropsuit the Templar wore. As the nanites reconstructed the crushed dropsuit, the collapsed chest plates expanded, and slowly pushed the dropship up, and immediately Vyzion could hear the man's breathing resume.
As it was repairing, Vyzion turned around and called to the others:
"I hope someone lifts here because we have a dropship we have to move off this poor guy. I've repaired his dropsuit but those internal wounds are going to need a little more than that."

Jonny was busy making more fire bombs when the dropship crashed into the pub. The force of the crash was enough to ignite the concoction he had been working on and sent flames all up his left arm.
As he was about to douse the flame, a piece of the ceiling gave way and knocked him on the head. The blow left a nasty gash on his head and rendered him unconscious. The fire on his arm still burned...
In his unconscious state, his mind dreamt of the events that happened prior to the pub...
Jonny walked out of the medical bay. He recently just aged his clone. He felt the change was needed.
As he turned to head back to his quarters, an old friend ran up to him and slapped him on the back. 'Jonny! How the hell have you been?!'
Jonny turned around to see a young Matari. He smiled, as he realized who it was. 'Jacky boy,' Jonny said as he embraced his old friend. 'It's been too long.'
'Damn straight! Last time I saw your arse, I was dragging your dead clone out of that LAV.'
Jonny laughed, 'I'm sure it was the other way around.' Jack laughed and they started walking together, joking and catching up with each other. Just like old times.
About halfway to Jonny's, Jonny got a message on his neocom. As he read it and read about these 'super clones' he laughed and turned to Jack. 'Bro, I just got the silliest hate mail ever.' He went to show Jack, but he was already reading it on his neocom.
Before Jack could say something, three soldiers in pitch black armor started walking towards them, their weapons drawn. 'Umm Jonny, I think we need to run.'
'Yeah, good idea.' With that they turned and ran. But no matter where they ran, they kept running into these soldiers.
They turned down an allyway, only to find a dead end. Jonny looked around for a weapon, all he could find was a lead pipe. He readied himself for a fight.
'In here quick!' Jack shouted. He had found a crawlspace they could fit in. Jonny jumped in and they crawled all the way to the end.
Jonny looked around and saw they were close to his quarters. They ran the rest of the way there. Once there, Jonny went inside as Jack kept watch and he retrieved his rifle and a submachine gun.
As he handed the SMG to his friend, Jack asked him, 'Where the hell are we gonna go?'
'To my father's,' he said as he started towards the pub...

The man was having an impossible time admitting it was due to fear and paranoia, both emotions were being affected by his recent lack of sleep. Closing his eyes he took a moment to collect himself. His thoughts were accompanied by calming crackling noise as he took a slow, deliberate breath. As he did so the nausea started to recede. He moved to the buildings roof to get a better view of the pub, and its immediate surroundings.
Jester was not foolish enough to blindly walk into a trap, especially considering was no longer immortal. A fact that a small voice in his mind would not let him forget. As unusual as it might seem, he found comfort knowing that someone, or something was reminding him of his mortality. Scanning his surroundings he quickly came to a decision, he still required more information.
From his bag Noah removed a long, thing case. Cracking it open revealed a disassembled sniper rifle. The soldier quickly assembled the miniaturized rail gun with practiced ease. Although Noah was proficient in using a sniper rifle he did not consider himself to be a true sniper. At best he considered himself a marksman. At the moment though the range the gun provided was the most ideal for observing from a relatively safe distance.
Just as he had finished assembling the rifle he heard the roar of thrusters near him. Almost immediately after he recognized the noise of an incoming dropship he heard the equally distinctive firing of swarm launchers. He heard the missiles but could not physically see them, a fact that he found quite disturbing. Noah took a quick glance down at his neocom, the station map was still queued up. Not surprisingly there were a number of optimal positions to fire from. He scanned the most likely building but could not see anything, no soldiers, or trails of smoke. Instead of trying to find a ghost Noah focused his attention on the crashing dropship, he needed to discover if it was being piloted by the enemy or an ally. He told himself that he was hoping it was an enemy ship that had gone down, but in his gut kept telling him that it was most likely friendly.
The soldier observed as two figures came stumbling out of the wreckage. He was surprised to see that they were still in one piece. Dropships were not exactly known to have great survivability rates after they were shot down. Noah did not recognize the male who had excited the cockpit. Fortunately he did recognize the second occupant. although it took him a moment to recall her. They had worked together once before. He watched on as the others inside the pub assisted those in the dropship, and the unfortunate individual who had not avoided the falling brick. With the knowledge that those inside the pub were friendly, or at least not the ones trying to wipe him from existence, he returned his gaze to the street, and he did not like what he saw.
The downed dropship was drawing to much attention. Station security was beginning to mobilize, and would probably be there in a few minutes. What was more concerning was the ominous black armored figures that were quickly making their way towards the ship.
Noah opened up his neocom and sent a voice message to Hunter and those in the pub.
GÇ£Hunter, are you guys prepared for the reservations at 10 and 2? Both are parties of three. I should be arriving in a few minutes.GÇ¥
He hoped that his message was not too obvious, but at the same time he hoped they would be able to figure it out. The times were the direction they were coming from. The party size was pretty obvious, with his arrival time being their estimated time of contact. He could only wait as and watch as the unknown enemies closed in. He waited, with his finger resting on the trigger, ready to provide support to those down below. |

Just as he had said they had time to kill, Thal looked out the window to see four of the black clad monsters moving in on the pub. Thal's mouth dropped open. His heart sank. Four of them? One was enough. He turned to the group.
"Everyone, we're leaving NOW!"
Thal pulled out his SMG and his sword.
"I'll cover you, get out!"
Thal jumped out the window and rushed at the creatures. He quickly sliced one's arm off, but to his shock, the beast was still walking towards him. He sliced the other arm, then the waist. He chopped at the head, and killed the monster. Before he could celebrate his victory, another creature threw a punch at Thal. He flew trough the air and smashed through the wall. He fell on top of a table, and sat up.
"I think I'll join you, RUN!"
Thal got to the entrence of the escape tunnel and started leading the party down.

Jonny woke up in a daze. His head was throbbing. His arm was badly burnt. He could see the others scrambling about, dragging people out of the wreckage. They were shouting, but he couldn't hear them.
He saw the soldiers in black storming their positions. He reached for his rifle with his uninjured arm, only to find it too heavy in his weakened state.
Beside him he noticed one of his fire bombs he mixed before still intact. He reached into his pocket for his lighter and found it, undamaged. Finally, some good luck, he thought.
He lit the rag and grabbed the bottle. Trying not to put too much pressure on his burnt arm, Jonny slowly stood up. He turned towards the soldiers in black. 'Hey!' he shouted to get their attention. 'This is for Jacky, mother fuckers!'
In one smooth motion, he threw the fire bomb and drew his SMG that sat on his waist. The fire bomb landed on the ground in the middle of the soldiers, scattering the group and distracting them.
As they were distracted, Jonny made a break for the armory. When he got there he started laying covering fire with his SMG to allow the others to escape.

Hya'salia barely had enough time to secure a prototype level scrambler rifle and a few magazines of ammo when they breached.
Ducking down underneath the bartable, she found a few grenades stashed underneath. After hearing a bottle smashed againt the floor and the fire erupting, she slammed the button and rose up
" GRENADE!!! " And heaved the grenade towards the black figures. As soon as the grenade hit the floor , she took out the scrambler with her right hand , holding it up with her sigis on her left as she fell back alongside jonny .
" Jonny!!, left side, assault!!" She yelled as she fired the scrambler rifle and her sigis alternatively,
SLAN SLAN SLAN SLAN BOOM!!
The assailant on the left staggered back as the rounds struck the armor, scrambler rifle to heat the armor to a high degree, the round from the sigis to punch through. But the sigis merely made a dent on the heated area of the armor
SLAN SLAN SLAN SLAN BOOM!!
The second volley heated the armor up exponentially, and the sigis finally found its mark. With a sickening wet slap, the assailant screamed and fell down. Using this chance, Hya'salia went and looked for the lever to close the underground entrance.

Vyzion grabbed the wounded Templar, and supporting him on one side began to walk him into the tunnel. Turning around, he heard the Gallentean with severe burns on his body yell "covering fire!" as he began to heroically fire upon anything and everything that was moving outside the pub. Junko was beside him behind the counter, popping up to lob grenades, fire a strange looking flaylock Pistol, and trade shots with her newly acquired scrambler rifle. Thal slid into the tunnel as Junko called for Jonny to go.
Amidst the chaos of noise, Vyzion's augmented hearing detected more gunfire, and noticed some of their assailants get cut down. More of us? Vyzion peered through the fires and haze caused by the explosions and gunfire, and saw them, and groaned. It was station security. Of course they'd come after the ruckus he caused with his dropship.
The pilot watched in guilt and misery as their pursuers turned and easily dealt with station security. Their ability to work as a cohesive unit was, Vyzion grudgingly admitted, perfect. Despite being caught unawares and in the back, they rotated fire so that they kept Junko and Jonny suppressed, whilst dealing with the less experienced station security who had simply run into the fray in the open.
Their families and friends would never understand what had happened, except that it was an immortal-related incident. And as ever, normal people would be further alienated towards us immortals.
Vyzion was started to like the idea of a last stand more and more.

Thal stopped his dash down the tunnel. He turns around and slips past his squadron, and Vyzion who was helping Crownrule down. He pulled out his scrambler rifle and flicked it into it's full length. He stuck it between Jonny and Junko and opened fire. His blasts weren't very accurate, but he managed to hit one in the head. The black armored assailant fell to the ground. It was now obvious to Thal the Head was the weak point. He knew Junko, Jonny and he couldn't hold forever. He pulled out his one and only flashbang grenade. He shouted to Jonny and Junko,
"CLOSE YOUR EYES!"
He tossed the grenade, and as it exploded, a blinding flash of light was shot in all directions. Thal was able to see the attackers loose their vision for a brief moment. He grabbed Junko and Jonny from the back of their necks and threw them into the tunnel. He then slammed his fist on the door control, and the hidden door sealed.
"Everyone, get moving, we've bought ourselves some time but we've got to get to the docks."

Jonny covered his eyes the best he could with his burnt arm, refusing to stop firing upon the enemy.
Once the flashbang went off, Jonny walked out side the tunnel entrance. The only way to close it was from the outside, in the pub itself.
He took in a deep breathe and ran towards the remnants of the bar. He pushed down a soldier in black still stunned by the flash bang on the way and slide behind the bar.
It took him but a moment to locate the keypad and input the lockdown code. Within seconds, the entrance to the armory and the tunnel were sealed behind a foot of lead and steel.
Jonny then shot the keypad, ensuring the only way to follow would be to cut the door down. He sighed and leaned against the bar.
Reaching into his jacket he pulled out a picture of his daughter. It was a more recent photo. Taken on the day they reconnected. A tear form in the corner of his eye as he realized he would never see her again.
He kissed the photo and placed it down. He then picked up his SMG and reloaded and stood up. He was greeted with the sight of the soldiers in black standing within the burning pub, their weapons pointed at him.
'You wanna play?' Jonny asked mockingly as he chambered a round. 'Let's play!'

From his perch Noah observed the engagement between the two sides. He wanted to observe the assault party with an objective eye, gather intel, and perhaps figure out who had sent them. Unfortunately the current circumstances did not allow him to observe for long. He watched as they moved methodically towards their objective, they were smooth and in sync with one another. Their movements looked like they were natural, as if they had been doing this their entire life. They did not remind him of the average immortal mercenary. These men acted as a single unit, not as individuals. His observations only served to further his initial theories.
A large part of him wanted to continue observing, learning as much as he could. If he had still been immortal he probably would have done nothing. At the moment though he simply needed to survive, and his best bet was sticking with the others. As noah sighted up an enemy the clove cigarette fell from between his lips, coming to rest in front of him. Noah sighted up the enemy nearest his allies. In this particular case he was focusing on covering the Amarr who had decided to engage in melee combat. Aiming at center mass he took a moment to steady his aim before depressing the trigger. He fired at the same time Thal was punched. The rifle accelerated the 2 cm inert round to upwards of 2,500 m/s. a flare of light indicated the round had found its target, the rifle was powerful enough to punch through the armors shields, but could not bypass the the armor. The impact was enough to at least stagger his target.
GÇ£Damn rifle, canGÇÖt even take out a damn medium frame in one shot.GÇ¥
Without hesitation Noah fired a second round, aiming for the chest again. The second round found its way through the black armor and into whatever lay beneath it. The target collapsed onto the ground, now only a lifeless husk. He shifted his sights to another target, his time was limited, they would have his position figured out in a matter of seconds.
This time he took aim a little higher, setting one of the soldiersGÇÖ heads as his target. He needed to take them out in a single shot. He fired his third shot, but his bullet failed to find its target, missing by about a centimeter. He silently cursed under his breath as he adjusted and fired again. The second shot hit just as the soldier looked in his direction. His head was snapped violently back, but the bullet failed to penetrate the soldiers helmet.
GÇ£Piece of crap, I swear you were designed by a blind Matari.GÇ¥
He fired again, Just as the round was cutting through the armor Noah was ejecting the spent clip and jamming in another one in a single fluid motion. It was an act he had repeated so many times that it was done without conscious thought. As soon as he was done reloading he was up and moving. His bag slung across his shoulder, and the sniper rifle across his back. He needed to leave as quickly as possible, they had most likely already determined where he was, and he wasnGÇÖt about to stick around to have a conversation.
Noah slid down a utility pipe on the side of the building into the maze of access tunnels of the station. Unfortunately he had no idea where any of the others were, or where they were going, no one had contacted him with any information, and he had lost visual contact with the group.
GÇ£Thats what you get for helping people out. Stranded and left to die. I would have been better ignoring that damn message.GÇ¥
As he hurdled over a large service pipe he heard the familiar sound of combat boots quickly behind him. Apparently he hadnGÇÖt left quickly enough. He quickened his pace, relying on his modified body to propel him forward as quickly as possible. It was moments like these that he regretted having a leisure clone. Although his current body was heavily modified it was nothing compared to the modified combat clones that he usually inhabited, and what was most likely being used to hunt him down. He needed to find a way to shake off his pursuer. He was starting to wish they made personal cloaking devices that required less power. Without a frame they were completely useless.
Noah knew that it was only a mater of time before he was caught. |

He falls to the ground with a hard thump, crownrule half expected himself to be dead but surprisingly he was still alive. It was not until then that he began to get back up that he saw a chunk of his helmet on the ground.
"Holy ****!" Crownrule said as he picked up the metal and put it aside. He found his rifle and began to fire again ignoring the pain in his head and the ringing in his left ear that would not go away.

I'm afraid I must get to the point, the numbers of these assailants has reached over 3 battalions worth of men. Their contacts and their resources are seemingly unlimited according to various contacts in our inner circle, your options are thus limited. For now I need you all to keep moving, either by flight or by ground, it matters little. I have requisitioned a few dropships, both Myron and Grimsnes class alike not far from your positions, upper dockyard levels 4-D9 I believe that is where mac's infamous rail-road operations have led up to.
Stay alive as long as you can, I will do everything in my power to make sure your extraction is successful.
"Bingo! That's my ride out of here." He muttered to himself.
Rather than join the group of immortals that had gathered aboard the station, Hawkeye had been eavesdropping on their communications traffic for a while from the safety of the local sections of the station maintenance tunnels. Partly because of him not wanting to risk his own safety by being part of an attractive target, but also because any party involved in the escape plan was probably going to spill the beans on the point of extraction.
A warning beep came from his wristcomp, signalling that one of the nearby proximity sensors had been tripped. He got up from the floor and cautiously made his way towards the breach in his perimeter, pistol drawn. The clattering of combat boots against the grilled floor echoed through the halls. They were probably perusing someone down here.
Hawkeye peered round the corner just in time to see someone frantically running down the corridor towards him, although he couldn't make him out in the dim light. The clattering of boots was getting louder by the moment, they too would soon emerge from around the corner.
"Hey you! Over here! Come this way!" He shouted, waving his hand at the fast approaching former-immortal. He reached into his coat and pulled out a device consisting of pair of remote explosives and a flux grenade; crudely attached together by a bundle of multicoloured electrical wire and several rolls of duct tape. He lobbed the explosive down the hall and immediately threw himself backwards onto the ground behind the corner from which he emerged, covering his ears.
The makeshift device exploded in a great thunderous boom, causing part of the corridor to collapse, and almost certainly obliterating the mysterious perusers. Hawkeye got up and dusted off his coat, approaching the man, whose face he could just about make out.
"Jester... Is that you? You lost or something?" He chuckled a little.

She felt for a vein and stuck the needle inside, releasing the medical nanites to his system directly. in a few seconds the burned portion of his arm slowly but noticeably began to heal, and his pulse stabilized.

((Going to assume Crownrule was with us in the tunnel fighting off the shadow commandos as they broke through Jonny's seals, despite his post indicating that he is still at the entrance))
Vyzion had been using his repair tool to support the Templar who was fending off the shadowy pursuers with scrambler rifle and blade as they tore down the seals Jonny had erected behind them.
Suddenly, though, a large group of these enemies surged forward through the broken remains of the latest seal, nearly catching up with Junko as she desperately tried to pull her and Jonny out of danger. The Templar beside him leapt up instantly and, with no regard for his own safety, began to tear into the shadow warriors with his scrambler rifle. Instead of backing out when he had to reload he simply took out a lethal, shining sword and continued fighting, yelling prayers all the while.
Vyzion shook his head in disbelief ((irony definitely intended :P)). The things these Amarrians do for their God. These shadow warriors, as Vyzion had decided to call them, were also proficient at melee combat, however, and the pilot winced as one got under the Templar's slashes and proceeded to break his arm, something a repair tool couldn't prevent.
The pilot swallowed hard. Time to get my hands dirty. He dived past the Templar who was staggering away from the enemy and tackled the lead shadow warrior, causing the rest of them to stumble backwards in the narrow confines of the tunnel.
Then he rolled off, punched the warrior in the face to ensure he wouldn't be getting up for a few moments, and tore a scrambler pistol from the belt of a commando with the Templar's blade through his face.
Sprinting back to said Templar, he turned and took aim.
Hunter Junko wrote:For added measure she rigged an explosive to go off as soon as the left door was breached , and tried to walk Jonny out towards the rest of their group.
The pilot's eye found the undetonated RE half-buried in the rubble of the seal. The shadow commandos had apparently used a dual-breaching explosive which released an EMP pulse to negate any electronic traps on the other side. So Vyzion did it the old-school way, and pulled the trigger just as one the shadow warriors were recovering from his tackle.
A bolt of superheated laser-induced plasma ignited the RE immediately, and shook the whole tunnel as it vaporised the commandos standing near it. Vyzion felt the heat blast through his dropsuit. He turned and jogged back to the rest of the group.

Jonny in his unconscious state felt the stabbing of the needle into his arm. The pain was excruciating, yet he could not scream nor could he move.
His mind took him back again, to the last time he saw Jack...
'What the fuck were those things?!' Jack half shouted, half whispered. They had been running for days. They had been smuggled all across New Eden, and their journey was starting to weigh heavily on the two old friends.
Jonny peered out of the cargo crate they were currently in, trying his best not to be noticed. He hadn't slept for days. 'I don't know... I've never seen anything like them.'
'They have to be Jove right?'
'Don't be an idiot! Nobody has seen a Jove in years!'
'Then what are they Jonny?'
Jonny sighed, and looked at the Matari. Jonny had been a soldier for years, and a clone for fewer. He had fought across New Eden in many theatres of war. But he had never encountered a foe like these Shadow Warriors. 'I don't know Jack... I don't know.'
Jonny peeked out of the crate and saw the docks were relatively empty. Across the way he saw the old underground. 'When I say so, we run, and we don't stop until we are at Mac's,' Jonny said. Jack nodded.
'Now!' With that, they burst from the crate and sprinted for the entrance. Halfway there, three shadow warriors emerged and started to open fire on the two.
'Hurry! We are almost there!' Jonny shouted as he wirelessly imported the door code to the tunnel from his wristcomp. The door slowly started closing.
Jonny dived for the entrance and made it. He turned around and saw Jack sprinting as hard as he could.
He was about to make it. That was until a bullet pierced his chest, spraying blood and organ matter across the floor.
'JACK NO,' Jonny shouted, he grabbed his rifle and unloaded every round he has at these shadow warriors. The bullets just bounced off them, not even hindering them.
One of the warriors, with a red mark on his helm, grabbed Jack and forced him on his knees. And Jonny watched on helplessly as his old friend was executed in front of him.
The door sealed shut...
Jonny woke up in the dropship screaming for Jack.

Crownrule had set his bone back in his arm back in place once they made it to the ship. He knew he would be useless in a gunfight as he cannot hold up a scrambler rifle.he had checked his sword for any cracks or weak points and thankfully found none. He looked over as Jonny woke up and screamed out "Jack".
"So what are we going to do now?" Crownrule asked everyone in the ship with tired eyes. He felt old and wounded, but still had thepassion of a young amarrian male.

Hawk wrote:"Hey you! Over here! Come this way!" He shouted, waving his hand at the fast approaching former-immortal.
Noah only had a moment to make a decision, follow a stranger or continue running. He came to the determination that those pursuing him wouldn't bother with attempting to trick him, they probably would have just shot him. Taking a risk he quickly altered his course towards the one waving at him. As he turned the corner he saw a makeshift ball of wires and tape thrown the direction he had come. He could feel the heat and pressure wave of the explosion behind him. It also left a slightly disorienting ringing in his ears.
The collapsed service tunnel would at least by them a few minutes reprieve. As his unknown savior was dusting himself off Noah removed a bolt pistol from the holster on his right thigh. His paranoid mind was seeing everyone as an enemy at the moment. Better to kill his savior than allow them the opportunity to do the same.
Hawk wrote: "Jester... Is that you? You lost or something?" He chuckled a little.
It took a few moments for him to recognize the one speaking to him, the one who had possibly just saved him. A sudden burst of acknowledgement flashed across his eyes, he knew this man. That acknowledgement briefly turned to anger, and the bolt pistol started to spool up. Noah was quickly contemplating shooting Hawk, perhaps more so because he recognized him. The anger dissipated from his eyes as he made the decision to not kill the man who had just assisted him. Given their current situation it was probably a poor decision to kill an ally. He released the trigger and the spooling noise ceased.
GÇ£Hawk...you were one of the last people I expected to run into, small universe. And not lost, just exploring the area without any knowledge of where I am going.GÇ¥
They had only worked together once before. He didnGÇÖt bother to mention the mission, it was something he was going to avoid talking about if he could help it. He holstered the bolt pistol as he was speaking. He wasnGÇÖt about to thank Hawk for the assistance either, in his own mind he kept telling himself that he would have figured something out.
GÇ£You got the same message? You wouldnGÇÖt happen to have a way off this station?GÇ¥

The large gun pointed at his face was something Hawkeye wasn't quite expecting; especially from someone whose life he very possibly had just saved. The sound stopped. Deathly silence.
He wasn't dead.

As crownrule and Vyzion were fighting off the shadow commandos, Jonny and Hya'salia trudged along until they reached the exit. The dockyards. Such a nostalgic place for her once before; bustling with ships of all kinds and sizes, now seemed like another obstacle in this hellish day.
Looking around, she noticed the Myron hidden behind some containers. " yes...finally something is going our way for once." Hya'salia though as she turned to listen in to what Thal said
Thal Vadam wrote: "Ok, here is the plan. There are four hostile targets outside. Junko, take Jonny and make sure he gets onboard safely. Me and my squadron will form a protective circle around you to keep you safe."
Thal sighs as he looked at his men. One of them at least was going to die. He knew they would die doing their duty, but it still pained him. He closes his eyes and cocks his combat rifle
"Any questions?"
Hya'salia thought of it once over.
" ok, I'll begin the take off sequence to the Myron on your signal. Once I take off, I'll come pick you up. Be sure you can take down those soldiers in that time. " she said as she outstretched a hand towards the Templar.
"if we make it out of this alive, I promise to find sanctuary for everyone, regardless of race, until this is all over, yeah?" Hya'salia said with a serious tone in her voice. She had already thought of such a place, but for now she had two injured soldiers and a whole shitstorm on her way.
((I'll assume we have shaken hands for now))
After the two of them shook hands, Myron hoisted Jonny over her shoulders and motioned for the other two to follow. Behind the containers to her right lay the dropships Isaac had sneaked in for them. Outfitted for mainly defensive based modules, but a decent boon for the survivors as hya'salia entered the myron.
She gently laid him down on a gurney near the back and strapped him onto it, and without a further word went up to the pilots cockpit.
Suddenly she was back in her element at last, the seat and the controls were enticing to activate, but she knew doing so too early would result in their discovery. For now she activated a small layout of the station and zoomed to the dockyards, where she saw Thal and his men prepare for an assault.
" don't get killed just yet, templar" she said softly, as her hand out of memory and constant memorization, slowly reached up to the first of many control panels needed to activate and start up the Myron's engines. |

Thal and his squadron pulled up their hoods and hid their weapons under their cloakes. They slowly formed a circle around the dropship. Thal looked around, the shadow men were starting to break formation to search the crowd. Thal broke the formation and approached the closest shadow warrior. He tapped him on the shoulder and said,
"Excuse me sir."
The monster turned around and Thal plunged his blade into the creature's stomach. He clicked the power button on his blade and pulled the sword up, slicing the creature in half. The others turned and rushed at Thal. He threw his hood down and pulled out his combat rifle. He shouted to his men,
"OPEN FIRE!"
The thunder of five combat rifles echoed through the station. The crowd scattered as the two sides engaged. Two of the three monsters were able to dodge the rounds, but one was overwhelmed by the hail of bullets. Thal shouted again
"Crownrule! Vyzion! Get on the Dropship!"
As he said this, he watched in horror as his men were gunned down. They were strong, but not strong enough. One of the shadow men came right at him point blank. Thal grabbed him by the neck and pushed him in front of his comrades rifle fire. That commando went down, and the other stopped firing. He was out of ammo, Thal could tell. They stared at each other for what felt like an eternity. That is, until Thal heard the familiar sound of a Nova-sword being unsheathed. The blade the shadow warrior used wasn't much different from his, except for it was a deep black, while his was golden. To his surprise, the shadow commando spoke,
"The great Thal Vadam deserves a warriors death."
He holds his sword out in a offensive position. Thal said nothing, and the two warriors leapt at each other.
Their blades clashed in a bright explosion of sparks. They broke their clash and started trading blows, both combatants moving almost too fast to see. Slash after slash echoed through the hanger, the two men appearing to be evenly matched. Thal quickly parried an attack and removed the warriors arm. Thal made a subsequent slash across the mans chest. The man looked up at him, he knew it was over. Thal glared at the man,
"The true test of a warrior's skill is not in the strength of his arm, but in the strength of his spirit. You have failed."
Thal bent down
"For Falcon squad!"
Thal flicked the sword and the shadow warriors head flew off. Thal picked up his foes sword and headed back to the dropship. There was no time to secure his squads bodies. He whispered
"Falcons, you bring me great honor, allowing me to serve with you. May you now rest with god, your sacrafice will always be remembered by me."
Thal climbed aboard the dropship with the others.
"Let's get going"

Jester offered him a half hearted shrug shrug, GÇ£I donGÇÖt know, I think this is pretty civil, at least as far as things usually go.GÇ¥
Hawk wrote:"As a matter of fact... I do. I managed to intercept a transmission from our mutual friend's escape pilot. It's a Mastodon transport vessel currently 12 or so jumps from here. It'll be arriving soon, but until then we need to hold out."

Noah was glad to hear that he had a way off the station, the time before extraction was going to be an issue though. If the numbers Hawk had gathered were accurate then that was a little bit more than bad news. The mention of using a dropship to continue moving did not sit well with him. He had watched as the previous ship was taken down rather quickly.
Jester leaned his tired body against the wall, relieving his legs of supporting the majority of his own weight. He was tired, and starting to get hungry again. The talk of being hunted like rats made him think of mice running around a maze. The only difference was that in the end the mouse was rewarded with cheese in the end.
GÇ£That doesnGÇÖt sound so bad, aside from the massive amount of highly trained and organized killers looking for us, and the lack of an immediate way out...and the loss of our immortalityGǪ and the likelihood that we are all probably going to die a horrible and gruesome death...GÇ¥
As his voice drifted off so did his attention, and his face formed into a concerned grimace. GÇ£Well, could be worse I suppose.GÇ¥ He waved his hand like he was brushing an invisible fly out of the way. The grimace turned into a crooked grin.
The soldier was wondering if the two of them could even get to the dropship in time. Given their luck they would probably get there just as it was taking off, and the two of them would be left to fend for themselves again. Jester quickly decided that worrying was useless, and at the moment a wonderful waste of time. Using his elbows he pushed himself off of the wall and turned down the hall.
GÇ£No objections Hawk, now lets go find our cheese,GÇ¥ He started walking down the hall with absolutely no idea where he was supposed to be heading, but he wasnGÇÖt about to admit it. |

It took Jonny a moment to realized what happened. He looked around the dropship and saw Junko peeping the dropship for take off.
He slowly stood up, and tested his arm. It was still a bit stiff, but he could still use it.
That's when Thal and his templars engaged the shadow warriors. He watched with awe and respect as the brave soldiers fought valiantly against the shadow warriors.
As Thal headed back to the dropship after dispatching his foe, Jonny quickly jumped on the turret. Had he been in his dropsuit, the controls would have felt more natural.
However, he made due as he open fired on the remaining shadow warriors, spewing insults at them so obscene, they were best left unrepeated.

Vyzion's head swirled; everything was moving so fast. Shapes were blurring in his vision, death cries and rifle shots melded to become a torrential rush in his ears.
He was sitting in the dropship watching the Amarrians fight the shadow warriors blankly, swaying slightly from side to side. His hands were shaking and he realised the adrenaline of the past few days, fueled by the age-old fight or flight mechanism of the human body, was running low. The Gallentean was dead tired, and under his pilot dropsuit's helmet, his eyes were glazed and bloodshot.
He rested a hand on the dirty floor of the dropship, feeling the hum of the engines. Breathe. Blinking, he looked back out. Thal's Amarrian troops were arrayed around the dropship, and a thick black swath of shadow warriors lay around them. They had fought well, and had died a death many warriors would've been happy to die.
Crownrule wrote:"So what are we going to do now?" Crownrule asked everyone in the ship with tired eyes.
Vyzion turned to the Templar has he clambered aboard.
"Firstly, mate, could I grab your name? It's been a shitstorm since we've met, and I still haven't gotten the opportunity to ask."
As he awaited a reply, Vyzion glanced back at his hands. They had stopped shaking. Where he had rested one of them against the floor, though, in the layer of dust and caked mud from boots of infantry long ago, he had unconsciously scribbled: 514. The pilot shivered.

It felt like an eternity as she slowly watched the feed from the dropships camera drone. A few times she almost started the engines, but when she faintly heard the sounds of combat rifles thundering in the distance, cutting most of the shadow warriors down, her hand flicked the first switch.
'fuel compression modules activated, fusion reactors are online, radiator online, wait gotta start up the capacitor. Dry thrust or vector thrust? Damn, tight area is making the air stagnate. Dry thrust it is. Fuel reached the engines, damn oxygen isn't mixing well with fuel, wait for it. Cap charges at 75%, no time to use defensive modules. Turrets are still offli... Wait they just came on, LADAR is online , two other signatures. Immortal? Hopefully one of ours. Ok, green across the board; spark it'
These seemingly limitless thoughts dissipated when the Myron's engines roared to life as Hya'salia wasted no effort in optimizing the oxygen, fuel mixture, and soon enough the Myron was slightly hovering by its own thrusters.
As soon as Thal was onboard, she whispered a small prayer
N'yt Dy'ohas Atho Wynarii, 'Guide us into paradise' and pushed the power to full, as soon as the drop ship cleared, she could hear Jonny using the turrets all while spewing alot of profanities in languages she both knew and those she didn't.
But now wasn't the time to ask him to stop, tilting it slight y, the Myron took off at full speed heading towards the swarm of neutral ships passing by when she heard a ping on her wristcomp.
Quote: docking bay 12, section A. Godspeed Hya'salia,

The se'terra is here. She thought as the deftly avoided ships, cruisers and frigates going about. Turning the corner of an amarrian prorator-class blockade-runner, a mastodon-class transport ship could be seen as she veered towards the portside cargo bay. The thing was enormous by normal standards, large enough to haul millions in cargo, with its modifications making also stealthy, courtesy of her father who originally commissioned the ship.
She at first doubted its existence, but she knew its telltale Thukker origins with a small script on the portside main, the words Se'terra emblazioned in white, just as she knew it would be. They were finally getting out of here " we are almost there boys, get ready to disembark in 10" she shouted onto the cargo bay receiver as she kept her eye on her ship, all other distractions she either took care of or never bothered to acknowledge...
*****
" sir, we have arrived at our destination", the navigational officer inquired as the final preparations were made. The person the officer was talking to was an Amarrian man in his early thirties. His robes were of his empire's design, though inside he could no longer consider himself an Amarrian no longer. He had a job to do as he turned to the main display, seeing a Myron class dripship on a approach vector.
' about time, hya'salia' he thought as he pressed the intercom to the entire ship. " all hands on deck, survivors are arriving, open the portside cargo bay, prepare pave-medics and engineers , prepare to refit the drop ship to offensive specifications" as soon as Isaac finished his message, he shouted to the bridge " Prepare to take off!!" he commanded, as he got up and turned to the elevator, his robes steadily flowing behind him. |

As the dropship docked into the cargobay of the massive ship, he looked around and found that he was quite impressed. Then again, Matari ingenuity (Thukker specifically) always impressed him.
Still looks like a bunch of duct tape and rust, he thought, smiling to himself.

If the survivors from within the Myron were all there was to this rescue op, she would've set the drop ship down onto the Se'terra's cargo bay, hand the keys to the greesemonkeys and continued on with issac's plan.
But the two blips on her radar weren't giving her any small comfort. Earlier she had noticed them when she was prepping for takeoff, now it showed they were close to where they left the tunnel.
"too late" Hya'salia thought as she made the final approach.
'no it isn't a voice said to her. Alarmed, she nearly blew a hole in one of the display monitors, where she thought the voice originated from.
Then, as if she was there all along, a small, slender woman appeared before her, dressing in a simple Thukker ceremonial dress, for when burying the dead. She had Hya'salia's fierce eyes and her wild, unkept hair, yet they had a surprising gentleness about them, almost meek and timid, but strong enough to carry her spirit alive..
"mom....." Hya'salia said to herself, already she had begun to regret the decision to leave the final two away.
'look at me , little Hya'salia ' the voice of her mother spoke. Slowly she looked up to the apparition of her mother, the fearful demeanor that had carried her through this ordeal surfaced once again, but she did not cry nor dis she lose her will. She only remembered the determination, to save people, no matter the odds. She remembered the battalions she dropped on Caldari prime, she remembered the original crew of the Se'terra, and the battles she undertook. The desire was absent in her for the longest time now, and although she didn't say anything else to her mother, it was as if the two had talked for a long time..
Then she was gone.... Replaced by the view of the Se'terra 's modified cargo bay. It was a miniature command center, and in the far edges of the cargo bay she could make out the living quarters they designed for this occasion.
Her fear now replaced by that desire once again. " sorry boys, I'm going to make one last run, there's two lost lambs down there and they need picking up" Hya'salia said throught the dropships intercom. As she gently hovered inches from the ground of the Se'terra, the lights went green for a few seconds, signaling the survivors to disembark.
" Hya'salia, what are you doing!?! Set her down" issac's voice boomed on her earpiece. With a flick of her hands, the Myron spun a full 180 degrees, facing the exits
" sorry Isaac, I need to do this, prep my ship for space bound extraction" Hya'salia said, and before Isaac could respond, she gritted her teeth and opened the thrusters to full, sending the Myron back out into the hornets nest |

As the Myron made a sudden course correction, Jonny looked down at the docks below. That's when he saw him, the Marked Shadow Warrior, as well as three others.
All of Jonny's anger and rage swelled inside him. He aimed the turret right at the beast who slayed his best friend. He readied himself to pull the trigger.
No, not like this, he thought. He looked around and saw a discarded combat rifle. He picked it up and checked the mag and walked to the drop door and looked down. He calculated his trajectory and readied himself.
'Junko,' he said, still looking down. 'If you are ever in Jita, look up my daughter for me.' With that, he jumped.
It was a 100 meter freefall, and Jonny wasn't in a dropsuit. However he calculated that if he aimed it right, he could land directly on top of one of the warriors. Their shields should be enough to stop Jonny from becoming a red stain on the pavement, or so he hoped.
As he neared his target, the warrior looked up and quickly reached out and grabbed Jonny before he landed on him. He then tossed Jonny like a rag doll in front of the Marked One, laughing.
Jonny got on his knees and looked up. He was now right in front of the man who slayed Jack. His anger was now a swirling tempest inside of him.
'Well, well, well,' said the Marked One. 'If it isn't Demetrious.'
Jonny let out a beastial scream as he spear tackled the Marked One, bring him down. He then grabbed his opponents head and began slamming it against the pavement.
'I will f***ing kill you, you mother f***ing c***!' he shouted as he carried on smashing his head into the pavement.
'ENOUGH!' shouted the Marked One as he easily pushed Jonny off with one hand. He stood up, and as Jonny went to stand, he kicked him in the chest.
'You're kind makes me sick,' he said as he kicked him again. 'You are all arrogant,' he kicked again, 'selfish,' and again, 'and parasites of the cluster.' As he kicked, Jonny coughed up blood.
'At least... At least we arn't f***ing s*** filled clowns!'
The Marked One grabbed Jonny and threw him across the docks, slamming him into some crates. Grenades fell out of them. Jonny weakly reached for one.
The Marked One kicked him over and placed his boot on Jonny's chest. He then stomped hard and broke all of Jonny's ribs, causing him to cough up more blood.
He then took his boot off him and grabbed him. He pressed him against a wall and began punching his face over and over.
He pulled his fist back and paused. Jonny looked up, his face was bruised, bloody and broken. He spat blood in the Marked One's face in defiance and said weakly, 'Is that... Is that all you got... You f***ing p****!'
The Marked One punched him again. 'My... My daughter hits harder...' Jonny said.
He went to punch him again, but his superior stopped him. 'That's enough! Kill him and download his data. My scanners are detecting more of them in the area.' The Marked One let Jonny go, making him fall to his knees.
Jonny then tackled him, again. 'Not this again,' said the Marked One as the others laughed.
Jonny then pulled out a grenade and primed it. 'Yes... This again... FOR NEW EDEN!'
In the short moments before the grenade detonated, Jonny's last though was of his daughter.

Vyzion gripped the side of the speeding Myron hard as he watched Jonny. He felt his whole body tense, and he was close, so very close, to diving after his fellow clone soldier. But he didn't. He stood and watched as Jonny fought brutally against the shadow warriors.
Coward. I'm a f**king coward.
Then the ringing explosion from Jonny's grenade filled the shipyard, and Vyzion turned away, sickened. He recalled his days as a young journalist, without a care in the world, exploring without restraint. He remembered training with the Valklears, passing their rigorous entrance requirements, going on deadly missions every day, fighting with mortal comrades... and watching them die.
And yet, here was a comrade assailing the enemy, and he did nothing. His loss of immortality had crushed the resolve that had always been his driving factor, before he had ever chosen the path of the clone soldier. Vyzion clenched his teeth and walked back to the side of the dropship.
Then he leaned out and threw up.

Thal stood silently in the Myron's troop bay next to Vyzion. He watched the marked shadow warrior brutally beat Jonny. His face showed no emotion whatsoever. He knew Jonny was as good as dead, and their was no point fretting about something they couldn't change. After all, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. His thoughts went to the girl he saw in Jonny's photo. What would happen to her, and could he have saved Jonny? No, he couldn't allow the death of the man phase him, though he swore he would remember Jonny D Buelle. Suddenly their was the familiar flash of a grenade and Jonny was gone, along with those whom assaulted him. He showed no feeling, but inside he felt broken. He would avenge the man, his foe turned friend. He would kill every last shadow warrior, even if he had to do it with his bear hands. He looked as Vyzion threw up out of the bay. Thal walked up to him, and put his hand on his shoulder.
"There was nothing we could do. He died so we could save those other two immortals, and he died a warrior's death. We will avenge him, but not yet. Keep calm, and keep fighting."
Thal walked away and applied his hoods mask and scaned the area for the other immortals.

"Err, Jester... The docks are that way..." Hawk said, pointing to a corridor Jester had just walked past. "Perhaps I should lead the way?"
He headed down the correct corridor with Jester in tow at a reasonably fast pace. Now the escape was available, he wanted to spend the lest time possible in this place. He carefully listened through the humming and pumping of all the pipes and wires running through the tunnels for any indication that he was being followed.
"Ok, there should be a service lift about 200 metres from here, it should take us all the way to the upper dockyards if we're lucky."
He scratched his head, continuing cautiously through the maze of tunnels, sometimes stopping a moment to consider his direction, but always looking back over his shoulder, at every intersection, through every crack, straight into the smallest of shadows for any sign of life.
Come on man, snap out of it! You're being paranoid again; I hate it when you do that.
...
The doors of the service lift emerged from the next bend, barely visible in the poor light. Hawkeye pressed the call button and began to lean against the wall. The hum of the lift sounded quite far away, so they would be there for a little while. He stared blankly at a wall, listening to the fizzes, the hums, the whirrs, and the clattering.
The clattering...
The clattering!?
No... No! It couldn't be... There's nothing there. It's just the lift.
He pressed the button several more times in quick succession. The clattering was getting louder, and closer. He drew his scrambler pistol and put his back to the wall.
"Come on, hurry up!" he muttered.

She could only watch as he made a feeble attempt at taking down the shadow warriors.
'jonny.... You finnaly found paradise, we'll see you soon, good friend ' she thought as she whispered a prayer in her Thukker tongue.
" the other two are not far out, I'm going to pull a dive and catch, so everyone get ready, I need you to unload everything you have from the broadside entrance(right side)" she said as she flicked a few switches, and banked the drop ship right towards the signals of the two survivors. She made sure she had enough height from the ground when she turned the cargo lights red, activated her hardeners, whispered another prayer and plunged the drop ship down between the shadow warriors and the survivors near a lift. At the last second, she pulled the drop ship up between them just as the first bullets pelted her ship.

Vyzion was in his element.
A dropship hovering barely inches from the ground for rapid extraction, engines pointing directly at the ground and kicking up a veritable sandstorm, obscuring vision. Their assailants were literally shadows, blurry shapes in the storm.
But blurs were all Vyzion needed. He dived for the starboard side's turret, an old 20GJ Scattered Neutron Blaster that Junko must've kept before manufacturers made universe-wide recalls on their products to redevelop them into more streamlined, militaristic lines.
It was beautiful. Vyzion squinted into the hazy air, his augmented vision allowing him to see the barest movement through the dust cloud but also making him think every little waft of air was an enemy. So he did the only thing any sensible mercenary would do in such a situation.
"THIS IS FOR JONNY, YOU BASTARDS!" The normally quiet and peaceful pilot roared, heart pumping as hard as the the turret between his hands as he sprayed into the cloud. The mechanical stuttering of the blaster joined the ruckus alongside the engines, plasma rounds lighting up the smoke.
It was a deadly kind of beautiful, and for a moment, Vyzion forgot his mortality in his wild abandon, not even trying to lessen his profile as return fire began pelting at the Myron's hardened shields.
Reckless and wild. So that was the plan.

He grabbed it and began to put it back on, he decided to leave his sword with thal and take his vyzion scrambler rifle. He lined up beside vyzion and began to fire multiple shots down below, some hitting the warriors and others killing them. He was reloading his gun when he noticed a large object, it was a tank. Without thinking he slung his rifle around his back and jumped out of the drop ship. He wwouldn't need his inertia dampeners because they were so close to the ground. As soon as he hit the ground he tumbled forward and began to sprint toward the sleek black tank.
"Vyzion keep me covered! I'm going for the tank!" Crownrule exclaims through his neocom. He began to fly through the dead bodies and he was almost to the tank who was now arcing its main gun, he knew it was a particle accelerator because he could see the energy twirling off of the gun.

"A f**king tank, they have a tank out there!" He yelled back into the troop bay, voice cracking a little on the first 'tank'. "Junko if those newcomers aren't here in a few seconds we gotta bail... and someone go see what the hell Crownrule just ran off to do!"

The tank begins to charge the gun and he can see dark energy coming from the gun and it puzzled him. What was that strange energy? But he canceled it out and quickly jumped into the tank. He could see the driver pulling switches and pushing buttons, he didn't notice crownrule and it Gabe him the element of surprise. Crownrule walked up behind him and yanked him out of the seat putting the man into a headlock and sealing off the air in his windpipe. After a few seconds the man went limp and fell to the ground like a ragdoll. Crown rule reached up and closed the hatch and locked it. He sat down in the chair and turned the gun to a group of shadow warriors, he grabs the stick and clicks the button releasing the energy from the cannon into the men. The ground shakes with such force it makes crown rule fall out of his seat.

Hawk wrote:"Err, Jester... The docks are that way..." Hawk said, pointing to a corridor Jester had just walked past. "Perhaps I should lead the way?"
Noah stopped moving half way through a step, his right leg was still hanging in the air.
GÇ£Ahh.. I knew that,GÇ¥ as he spoke he pivoted 180 degrees on his left foot and quickly followed Hawk. As they were making their way through the winding service tunnels Noah was further reminded of a mouse caught in a maze, only with more death and dismemberment most likely imminent. He pulled his oversized hood back over his head, it had fallen off in his mad dash through the tunnels to lose his pursuers. Noah removed the bolt pistol from its holster, holding it in both hands as they moved as quickly, and cautiously through the tunnels. Noah was skeptical about being able to do anything to their pursuers should they meet them in such close quarters. Even if both parties were immortal these shadow warriors had the advantage in not only numbers but in equipment as well. The difference in armor levels was glaring. The black clad drones were wearing frames of unknown origin. Jester was wearing regular civilian clothing, and it was threadbare and tattered at that.
JesterGÇÖs nerves were starting to fray, he was suspicious of every shadow and sound. He felt as if the already cramped tunnels were becoming even smaller. As if the walls were slowly beginning to converge upon him. The soldier was possibly experiencing the early symptoms of a panic attack. He was even starting to become suspicious of Hawk, was he leading him into a trap? Unfortunately, Noah had only a very basic idea of where they were going. Utilizing the map on his neocom he was able to roughly determine their location. The service elevator they were heading towards was supposed to put them in the middle of the dockyard. From there they just needed to find the correct dock. It sounded easy enough. His own findings were quickly confirmed by what Hawk said. Noah hoped he was right.
While the plan was simple enough it had a number of complications being thrown in, and Noah had a sinking feeling that things were about to get worse. He had the distinct feeling that something was quickly approaching, his feeling was quickly confirmed by a the clatter of heavy, armored boots upon the metal grated floor.
GÇ£This is turning out splendidly.GÇ¥ He actually had a sideways grin on his face. Even with the fear and paranoia consuming his emotions he couldnGÇÖt help but grin.
Noah quickly holstered his bolt pistol and slung his sniper rifle back around his shoulders. He slid to the side of the service elevator and took aim. He had decided to take out whatever came through the door. He only hoped that the elevator arrived faster than those pursuing them from the tunnels.
It seemed to take forever, every second they waited felt like an eternity. Noah felt like the service tunnel was starting to collapse on top of him. His heart beat was pounding in his ears, and every breath seemed to take more and more effort. As the lift clattered to the bottom of the shaft he held his breath and tried to move purely on muscle memory and instinct.
The doors opened slowly and pair of pitch black monsters emerged from within. The moment they came into view Jester fired. He hadnGÇÖt had time to properly fire. He was thrown off balance by the recoil, and the rifle was hard into his shoulder. At nearly point blank range he couldnGÇÖt miss, the round ripped through the soldiers skull.
(working under the assumption that Hawk will be taking care of the other one)
Noah spun his shoulder in a circle a few times. It was probably going to bruise, he was really wishing he was in a combat clone, or at least in a frame. He let out an audible groan as he rotated his shoulder and squatted down next to one of the dead soldiers. He quickly removed the soldiers helmet.
GÇ£IGÇÖll be taking that,GÇ¥ he examined his new found trinket as he walked into the lift, the doors closing behind him. His new accessory was secured tightly around his waist.
As the doors closed a faint noise, music, emerged from around the lift walls. It was an all instrumental version of a well known classic Galentte pop song. Noah quietly sang the lyrics (slightly off key) and moved his head in time with the bass line. The lift began its painfully slow journey to the dockyards. |

Raven had ran into the crowd slightly after Crown did. His path lead him to a group of Voidwalkers, which did not realise Raven was hostile towards them, Raven took advantage and cut through three marked Voidwalkers before they could realise. Raven continued to cut through the group as adrenaline pumped through his veins.
Raven fought as best he could, cutting through enemies with his Nova Knives and kicking others back, but eventually he was overwhelmed and swarmed with enemies. He went to slash at a marked VoidWalker's throat, but his arm was caught and the marked one began to twist his arm, bringing Raven to his knees. The marked one pulled out a Scrambler pistol and put it to Raven face. "Goodbye everyone." Raven whispered thinking of his past allies.
There was a blast that hit the ground near the rim of the large group. The blast knocked Raven back. Raven was still alive under the dead body of the marked one who was about to kill him, Raven realised one of his knives was lodged into his armor and pulled it from his armor.
Raven got to his feet and looked around for the dropship. "Vyzion!" Raven called out hoping for an answer, but after hearing nothing for several minutes he spotted the dropship and ran towards it hoping that Vyzion didn't confuse him for another enemy and open fire.
((Magic transition to inside dropship))
Ran sits on the floor, looking at his knife. "Hey Thal, I dropped a few of those remote explosives out there, so tell me when to detonate them." Raven told the Templar.

There was a certain skill when operating dropships designed to transport troops and cargo. Hya'salia knew this too well, It all lay with the capacitors the ship was fitted with. Theoretically, it was impossible to keep a single module online for long, as the increasing load would strain the power grid, and overload the CPU. therefore to use the capacitors to their fullest potential you'd have to juggle between module effectiveness and how long can you make the capacitor last.
Thankfully the modules her Myron was equipped wasn't go pg nor CPU intensive. Quickly she raised shield hardeners, amplifying the density of the plasma-based shielding to a considerable size. Another set of modules prepped her dropship to take off as soon as she was ready to move once the survivors reached the dockyards. She sent a message their way, stating to look for a Myron.
Next she made adjustments to her CPU output, optimizing them to move more responsive to the set of turrets Vyzion was using as he unloaded round after round onto the shadow warriors, nearly cutting down raven and crownrule as they made it out towards the dark shaped tank that was laid out in their way. By this time her cap charge was getting low; they need to get moving, or she'll have trouble getting then to safety.
Putting her 'cargo' into harms way was the last thing she wanted to do, but at this rate she'll be forced to make some tough decisions.

Crownrule had watched raven climb from the mound of dead bodies and run into the drop ship mid flight. He was glad he hasn't killed raven but saved him, but now he had no idea what to do. Should he stay in the tank or blow it up? He had no idea until junko had shouted in his ear and throughthe ccomma. He decided it was best to use the tank and head to the tankyard.
"Don't worry, with this bad boy on our side we can repel anyone!" Crownrule shouts in his comm with glee. He began to move the other stick forward and the tank lurched forward with tremendous speed and power. He already had fallen in love with this tank, there was no way he could destroy it.

Three figures in black cloaks looked on from a distance. They witnessed the brutal death of Jonny and the heroics of Raven and Crownrule.
From their vantage point they could see hundreds of shadow warriors converging on the dropship. The sight did not frighten them.
'Ma'am,' one of the figures said. 'They are a lost cause. They will be overwhelmed. The man you seek perished, we must return to Jita.'
The figure in the middle stepped to the edge of the ledge. 'My father gave his life for these people. We can not abandon them.' She removed her hood, revealing silky black hair, tan skin and piercing blue eyes. 'If you are afraid of death, my dear Cale, why did you decide to tag along?'
Cale bowed. 'I apologize Mistress Adtur. We shall do what needs to be done.'
With that he took out a signal flare and set it off. As the flare illuminated the docks, 50 human soldiers stepped forth from the shadows.
'Engage!' Cale shouted. 'Protect the clones at all cost!'
With that, the 50 soldiers engaged the shadow warriors. These brave men fought feircly, though out numbered and outgeared. However the surprise attack was enough to throw the shadow warriors off guard.
As the battle raged, Cale, Mistress Adtur and the other walked through the battle towards the dropship. Cale and the other slaughtered all in their wake using nova knives and plasma rifles. The Mistress refused to fight.
As they climbed onto the dropship, the Mistress sat down by Junko. 'I suggest we pick up that strange Amarr in the tank and get out of her.'

The list of things Vyzion COULDN'T shoot grew by the second.
First, Crownrule diving into the fray. Then Raven after him, in a similar dropsuit as their attackers to boot. Next, Crownrule's commandeered tank. Then, Raven's explosives. And now, most confusing of all, a random group who had fell from seemingly no where blasting plasma and slashing shadow warriors into ribbons, with a group walking calming up into the dropship, past all of the mercenaries in the bay, into the cockpit, to talk to Junko personally.
Vyzion let go of the turret in disgust and went to go sulk in the corner.

Raven saw Vyzion step away from the gun and decided he would replace Vyzion on it.
Raven was amazed and yet at the same time terrified of what he saw before him, some 50+ soldiers fighting the Voidwalkers. Raven thought for just a second before making a decision.
"Thal, if I die out there, make sure to kill a few of 'em." Raven told Thal before going to engage the Voidwalkers.
Raven quickly made his way towards the distracted Voidwalkers and started snapping the necks of his enemies. He had killed about 20 Voidwalkers before noticing a wounded Voidwalker on the ground, trapped under a dead body. "Poor bastard." Raven whispered about to kill him and end his pain.
Before he could kill the wounded man an idea popped into his head. "alright, I'm going to help you out of here, but if you do anything slightly suspicious I will not hesitate to end your petty existence." Raven threatened the wounded man before freeing him. "C'mon, we need to go." Raven told the man as he picked him up and started running toward the dropship.
"I have a wounded Voidwalker, when I approach DO NOT SHOOT! I repeat, do not open fire." Raven informed the others.

"its time to head out' Junko thought of grimly. capacitors are almost empty, shields are taking hits, and raven and the others are busy fighting in reckless abandon.
she came here to save the others , not get trapped in a useless battle where the result is their inevitable doom, she wants to run from them again, not fight any longer. she doesnt want to die, that was a harsh reality she had to face. and that was when a female she barely knew casually walked inside the cockpit. she was calm, collected and was oblivious to the battle raging outside. from her display a large amount of mortal soldiers leaped in, sacrificing themselves for a few precious seconds to round everyone up and leave.
her grief had never been more lower than before.
"I suggest we pick up that strange Amarrian in the tank and get out of here" the strange woman said. words Hya'salia herself wanted to say. a second she silently nodded, and relucantly she pressed a few series of buttons, disabling the turrets and activating the star-board side doors, stopping just enough for the rest of the clones to get in, and bringing in a few precious seconds of capacitor reserves.
"...Get in. Now" she said on the intercom. her voice had a tone of seriousness that that mixed with grief and sadness.
' too many people gave their lives for nothing....' she thought as she prepped her engines to take off.
'and its all our fault....'

The journey up the service shaft was excruciatingly slow, it was adding untold pressure on top of NoahGÇÖs already stressed mind. His heart beating so hard it felt like it might break through his chest, he could hear the pounding in his ears. In an attempt to gain control he he tried to tell himself that it was because of increased amounts of adrenaline and blood rushing through his ears, it was a failed attempt. He had started singing to try and focus his mind on something, anything else, it wasnGÇÖt working.
Hunter Junko wrote:" whatever you guys are doing , we need to move now!! Our HVI'S are near the dockyards, hurry it up!!"
The sudden transmission caused him to twitch reflexively, he was falling apart and wasnGÇÖt certain how much longer he could go. He fumbled around in his pockets for a cigarette and lighter. His hands were trembling so badly that he could hardly get it in his mouth, let alone light the damn thing.
GÇ£Y-Yeah, sorry about that.GÇ¥ Although he tried to sound normal his voice was trembling like his hands.
As he finished speaking he finally managed to sucessfully light the damn stick. He took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. The chemicals had a slight calming effect on the soldier. It did not completely diminish the torrent of emotions he was feeling, but it did allow him to gain some semblance of control.
GÇ£IGÇÖll be there in a minute so donGÇÖtGǪGÇ¥ His voice trailed off as the lift doors opened and revealed nothing but death a chaos. In his mind it was as if the Gates of Hell themselves had been opened. The lit cigarette fell to the ground and continued to burn slowly.
GǣOhGǪGǥ His voice held no surprise, or anger, or fear. It was completely devoid of all emotion, completely lifeless.
Without thinking he pushed the door closed button and then the emergency stop button. Like his voice his face failed to show any traces of emotion. If anyone had been staring into his eyes at that moment they might have seen the dim light they held finally go out. Noah staggered back until he was stopped by the wall behind him and slid down the wall. What little strength that he had held onto left his body.
GǣU-Uh, you should leaveGǪGǥ He transmitted over his neocom so Junko could hear.
Noah struggled to get the words out. He didnGÇÖt want to say them, but the truth of the matter was obvious.
GÇ£I um, IGÇÖll meet you at the shipGǪGÇ¥ he tried to convince himself that he wasnGÇÖt that far from the ship, although he knew the truth. It was going to take him five minutes to get there and they would probably be there in less than two. He hoped they wouldnGÇÖt come and get him.
Using the wall as a prop Noah stood back up. He legs felt like they could hardly sustain his bodies weight. After he was done speaking he deactivated his neocom, his blip disappearing from friendly radar. He removed the device from his wrist and dropped it on the floor. Taking a deep breath he depressed the door open button. The Gates of Hell slowly clattered open again. He desperately wanted to live, and at the moment would use any means necessary to ensure his survival. Using the wall like a starting block he pushed off as hard as he could and excited the lift running as fast as his mortal legs could carry him.
In his mind the dropship was the most dangerous place to be. He had watched on as they had effortlessly shot down the other one. He was hoping the dropship presented a more intriguing target. He hoped their attackers would favor taking out multiple targets over a single one. Or at the very least they would be slowed down long enough for him to get to the SeGÇÖterra. Noah sprinted through the dockyard at full speed, utilizing the containers and other ships as cover. His only hope of survival was the possible death of those that had risked their lives to save him.

it was all she could do not to pull her sigis out and empty the woman's skull, it was another to watch as raven barely managed to get crown into the Myron.
she took one last look at the mortals who now give them a second chance. she saw one who barely managed to knock a shadow warrior on the ground. she could imagine his battle cry as he lunged at him with a knife, driving it into the Warriors chest and then being flung across the ground...
he looked like an ethnic Gallentean, with dark brown hair, almost red by the lighting, fair skinned and bleeding from his mouth and other wounds he sustained. for a while he got up off the ground, and checked his rifle and then looked back at the Myron breathing heavily. in her eyes, it felt like this unknown soldier was looking at her directly.
then he saluted. gave a wink, and joined the others who were fighting back.
"Ta'lch y'n..." Junko Said, in her Native tongue, activated the afterburners and the dropship began to rise.
the layout of the Station then showed one of the survivor's signals. the other, had dissappeared. the computer recommended attempting to retrieve the other survivor, but the woman behind her told her to leave them.
'Abandon them and live, or save them and die.' the words resounded within her brain. she racked her brain, trying to think of a way to recover the remaining soul.
there was one,
The Drift Maneuver. highly risky.
it required near-perfect timing to pull off, and in the early days, when the rumors of clone soldiers were tales of legend, it was used by people, like herself, who wanted to extract a whole squadron all at once: get up to a certain height, then make a drop towards the ground to build up speed, and when you get to a certain point, you pull up, turn the dropship right or left and let the forward momentum, carry the dropship as the pilot then focused of keeping the dropship low enough so that the squad can simply hop up and into the dropship. too slow and you stall. too fast and you make roadkill out of your squad. too high and you simply miss altogether.
it became obsolete when AV specialists managed to increase the damage and tracking capabilities of the swarm launcher, but right now, as she neared closer to the signal of the remaining survivor, she turned the reciever on.
"you may be right in sacrificing those mortals, woman... " she spoke, her voice was slightly raspy and choked, but she cleared her throat and continued quickly.
".... but in my ship, my word is law: Vyzion, get ready for the Drift Manuver, open portside doors, detach turret and prepare for retrieval." she said.

Vyzion laughed with glee as Junko announced her plan. He went around strapping everyone in as wind whipped through the open bay. He grabbed the blaster turret, dissembling it and storing it in the floor compartment in one smooth motion.
Vyzion himself preferred landing vertically, but he had pulled what he liked to call the "Phoenix swoop" a few times extracting one person under extremely heavy fire. It was too quick to get groups to hop in at once, and back in the days before CONCORD regulated the materials planetary lamp posts were made of, it was extremely risky for the aspiring dropship pilot.
Everyone was secured to the point that no one could move a muscle. Good. Vyzion bit his lip, and threw the port side blast doors open. All or nothing. His stomach lurched and Junko reached minimum height and began the dive.

Without thinking he leaped forward into the path of the ship, slamming hard against the bay floor. His face had a stinging sensation, he felt dizzy, and he had a terrible pain in all the muscles down his left side. But he was still alive, that was the most important thing, right?
"Ge... Get us out of here..." He feebly said breathing shallowly, barely paying attention to anything around him.
seconds seemed like hours as the dive was nearing completion, she prepped the engines to go full power with whatever fuel is left in the Myron. she sounded the alarms and turned to the side, just as the maneuver was at it's lowest point.
that was when she heard the scores of swarm launchers being fired. all at nearly the same time.
'no...' she thought as she fed power to the engines. but it was big mistake.
Hya'salia heard the loud banging on the bay floor, and knew that she had gone too high for the survivor to make it safely. in reflex she gunned the engines to full, her myron turning towards the Se'terra, now far into the distance. ' not going to make it' Hya'salia gritted her teeth and made the myron accelerate to breakneck speeds, as a result she barely had time to navigate around the vast array of ships passing by, all in an effort to outrun the swarms, hidden from her eyes, but seen in the camera's of her ships.
"Issac, if your ready, prep to launch, make way for the station exit" she said through gritted teeth. static, but then she heard Issac's voice come through
"About time Hya'salia, the Se'terra will begin takeoff procedure.... our security team has found the other survivor, they are bringing him in..... *In the distance* set course for the wildlands, initiate phase two of our escape plan!" the radio abruptly cut off as Hya'Salia flew over the lumbering size of a Raven-class Battleship.
that was when the Missiles hit, detonating their powerful charges above the Myron, forcing it to scrape the outer skin of the Raven class with a sickening sound of metal screeches and groans
a series of nononononoNoNO!! scrambled through Hya'salia's Mind as she tried desparately to keep the Myron held together. the portside bay doors were bent inwards and the survivor's inside must've taken a beating, but She held on.
one way to save a thruster was to re-route the fuel cells to the auxilary compression system, where the occuring charge needed to ignite the fuel-oxygen compund was available. the problem was that the auxiliary measure was intended to assist in crash landing scenarios, not to regain flight capabilities.
she took one last look with the camera drone, where the bodies of the mortals, where the pub lay in ruins, and to where jonny's strewn body resided, forever would she remember this scene, and the shadow warriors who made this nightmare possible...
then she gunned the engines, making her way to the se'terra's cargo bay, the myron falling apart on the way. bits of metal collided with the giant exterior of the se'terra, and the myron skidded to a stop, one thruster missing, the bay doors bent beyond recoignition and the cockpit's window shattered, a bleeding Hya'salia at her seat her breathing was ragged and her chest hurt, a cracked rib or so was causing her to cough up blood. 'we made it......than....god...' was the last words she spoke before her vision turned black and she fell unconscious

"Myron has Landed, Myron has Landed" the Loadmaster's Voice boomed into the bridge. Issac had been silently praying for any news or their success when the Loadmaster reaffirmed his resolve.
"your finally back Hya'salia" Issac said to himself. blessing himself, he rose from his meditative pose and up over the captains section of the bridge. without a second more, Issac turned towards the rest of the officer's on deck, various faces from different cultures and backgrounds, yet all united by the Cause Hya'salia herself followed, often to the bitter end.
"You heard the Loadmaster!, put her to the heavens! adjust cloaking module capacity 54 points overdrive, dump all capacitors to warp engines! get her out of this hellhole" his voice resonated throughout the entire Ship, and the rallying cries of the countless crew resounded.
"YES SIR"
"and get me the medics, those survivors are in need of care" Issac Added. he watched as the Se'terra exited the station, its giant hull dwarfed by the countless other Ships passing by as the ship lurched to a stop.
then the powerful warp engines ignited, sending the Se'terra into warp, and far from the accursed station that brought them together. |

Mac stood staring out the station window. In his hands he held his son's Ion Pistol. Jonny had slipped it into his pockets during their last embrace. Next to him was an old Caldari.
'So he's dead then?' he asked, not taking his gaze off the stars.
'I'm sorry old friend,' said the Caldari. 'But the reports from our agents saw him take his life in an attempt to assist his comrades.'
Mac looked longly at the pistol in his hand. He himself gave it to Jonny's mother who then passed it on to him, and now, it was his once again. 'By agents, do you also mean my granddaughter?'
'Yes, she insisted on finding him, but she is fine. According to Cale, she is now aboard the Se'terra and is safe.'
Mac looked out the window once again. He then sighed and placed the pistol down on the table next to him. 'Make sure he get its when he wakes up. He also said to no longer call him by his known names.'
'Then what would we call him?'
Mac walked up to a clone creation tank. There was something stirring inside the murky water. He placed his hand on the glass. He knew what this meant. What he was doing.
'Lazarus, for he is no longer dead.' The Caldari nodded and watched as Mac started to leave. He stopped at the door and gave one last look to the Caldari and said. 'Slim, you make sure he understands the concequences for bringing him back.'
Slim nodded and Mac left without saying another word. Slim walked up to the tank and knocked twice. 'You awake in there, you son of a bitch?' Bubbles stirred within the tank. 'You are one tough Gallentean, but then again, I always knew you were tough.'
Slim leaned against the wall and reached into his pocket. He pulled out a packet of menthols and placed one in his mouth. Reaching into the other pocket, he pulled out a box of matches. As he went to light up his smoke, the tank bursted open from the inside, sending water and gunk all over the floor.
Slim looked up from where he fell, and his jaw dropped as she realized who was standing before him.
'Hey Slim,' Jonny said, still covered in the gunk from the tank. 'You got a smoke for me?'
