A month or two ago we were averaging 4,000 + daily.
Now it seems like we can barely reach that number, if we reach it at all. Games don't die over night, and only going as far back as 24 hours will only give a person a false sense of security.

A year ago we had double the player base we have now. Numbers are obviously dropping.


The only thing I want to know is about the new account mystery...

Interesting read. I wouldnt put too much faith everyone will come back to dust, alot of people have left the PS3 entirely with Destiny and upgraded to the PS4 (the traitors)

As a youtuber its pretty much only my love of Dust that keeps me here and making vids (only a few of us left now and they aint getting great views...) The buzz around Destiny is quite insane and given the high level content is now ramping up with strikes raids and other suspiciously MMO style things, i would say that the attachment to the Destiny character is far greater than that of the Dust chappie. This could be a big issue.....

Million clone events are fine to grab peoples necks and shove them repeatedly back into Dust but there has to be tangible change within the game that at least shows there is something here worth staying for.

New guns, suits, bpos are not that thing. We have a wardrobe filled with toys and no real way to enjoy them other than constrained and stifled matches following the same 'capture this' 'kill that' format across the same small handful of maps.

CCP should have made new maps or new game modes their no.1 priority if they wished to maintain a healthy level of population but without these fun new places and ways to use our toys, were playing in the same room with the same people over and over until the lights go out.

Makes me so sad to see how well Destiny is being pushed compared to Dust, the social aspects, the free roaming, the multiple levels of difficulty, fighting giants etc. its all great new and innovative stuff, sure it kinda sucks across alot of other areas and is not a prodigy of gaming that it seems to think it is, but it is a HUGE distraction that once you are invested within will ensure many hundreds of Dusters will likely never come back (or cant due to PS4 upgrades)

I listened to the biomassed podcast this week (also to hear Bamm **** it up a bit) i heard a huge amount of talk about numbers, mechanics and very detailed stuff, none of which really matters to the game holistically, that seems to be CCPs focus as well, insanely focused on balancing, numbers and details, they fail to see the game as a whole just isnt that big or exciting when compared to Destiny......

Oh well, sorry for the ramble, guess i still care alot about Dust but despair at the way its going.

Nothing in destiney has ever gotten this close I bet.
