1. Commandos, Logis and Assaults can all use REs. 2. Mediums have more slots so they can add things to make their suit more efficient. (Shield Regulators, Energizers, and Rechargers) If a medium frame, more specifically an Assault isn't looking for ways to make their shield or armor tank style last longer than they're a crappy Assault. Throwing on one regulator/recharger/armor rep isn't going to hurt you. It'll help you die less and fight longer. 3. Scouts have only been "OP" since cloaks and new scouts, before cloaks not many people ran scout unless they truly had an interest in it. Now everyone is a scout so they can tank, gank and be hidden. Ask any of the other scouts on this board and they can tell you how it was pre-Amarr/Caldari scouts.
Also if you're dying to scouts all the day maybe you should look around your surroundings before going all head first like so many heavies do, because they think, "I haz so muc HP!! Lololoolol burst hmg" Use your eyes and your ears, if you have a headset use it and listen to your environment. That's how a lot of scouts get the drop on people or even other scouts. And yes you can even hear footsteps when the person is cloaked. I heard footsteps above me so I knew to check my back every few seconds. Turned around to a cloak running towards me.
If.you don't have a headset, buy one for $40 from Turtle Beach. Cheap and effective.
I'm tired of people saying scouts are OP, just because there's a few bad apples out there that use it as an assault doesn't mean we're all OP. Pay attention and maybe you won't die to a Nova Knife or Shotgun.

One more thing to help you listen to those glorious footsteps: 1. Go to settings. 2. Turn music down. 3. Turn dialogue down. 4. Turn SFX and whatever else up. 5. Learn to tune out the other noises around you and become one with the map. Subconsciously remember all the places you can get killed from. Behind you being your first priority and in front of you being your last. Scouts are crazy but we're aren't that crazy...unless we had a bit too much alcohol in our system. *clears throat*

My point was that everyone gets a chance to use REs except heavies & Compact Nanohive> Nanohive. Dat portable armor rep is a lifesaver.

Yeah I never had headphones until about Feburary(gaming ones that is). And my teacher/CEO of R0N1N told me about that cause I used to killed left and right. After that it was easier to be more aware of my surroundings. Having all that extra background noise that isn't squad chatter is annoying. Your situational awareness will definitely rise. It'll help you not watch your TacNet all the time. Looking at the Tac isn't bad per say but it's good to use your eyes to see what your TacNet doesn't pick up. When I go against other scouts I know my TacNet isn't going to pick them up unless they have no damps, etc etc. So I have to look around and listen around.
Scouting ain't all hot cars and hot girls haha. There's a learning curve and it's a SP grind to get your cores in order.

Well it's not for one suit essentially. Sometimes I didn't pick someone up on the TacNet(I'm a Min Scout so I have to add E-War to help me "see" better) but I heard their footsteps, so I turn back and look for them.

core? thats the same for every suit. but i will definitely have a hard time with the initial SP grind. i don't have a single point into biotics or EWAR, cloak is only level 1 and my only light weapon is the assault rifle. the good thing is I have all the other dropsuit upgrades maxed and i've got a lot of points in my scrambler pistol. so i can have the highest HP possible and run proto equipment. ive pretty much decided to go Gal scout. if i'm going to put points into EWAR, I want the suit that has the best of everything. it even does very well with speed and stamina. i wanted it before the precision buff and now that is has all 3 stats in a good place there's no question it's the scout for me.
When I mean core, I mean everything on the skill tree practically. Not just your tank stuff but your damps, precision and range skills. Anything to lower your CPU/PG on your suit or a weapon. On an Assault it's a bit easier for certain things. (I haven't used Minmatar Assault since the new weapons came out) But for Assaults it's more about making your shields and armor more efficient than it is worrying abouy precision, damps and range. Only thing scout related I can see Assaults using is the biotics skill tree.
Assaults is more about weapons, so your main concern is getting that CPU/PG down and then strengthening your armor and shield.
As a scout you gotta reduce weapons, increase precision, damps, range, nanocircuitry for a equipment buff, explosives, shields and armor and all the inner crap.

because every other suit in the game doesn't require you to change your sensitivity settings just to be able to ******* aim at them
jesus christ can't you people understand it's like resident evil up in this *****? like we're trying to fight this deadly genetically engineered monster that can move faster and hit harder than you?
Dust changes it's sensitivity probably. I just lowered my sensitivity even more. It was 15,20 now it's 10,15. Accurate, no oversteering which I have a tendency to do. You gotta just mess around . Before I changed my sensitivity I couldn't aim for **** with a Shotgun but it's much easier now, and since I play with a slow sensitivity already, adapting to shooting with other weapojs or.knving wasn't anissue.
And **** I have so many typos because of this damn phone.

Lol crutch? I barely use my cloak if at all. I prefer to speed tank or run one damp. And as a Minmatar Scout I have to make sacrifices just to "wallhack", I have to wear two precision enhancers just to get a good reading on people and since this game has other scouts that have better E-War than me, I have to make up for it by filling my highs to get their levels. Even then I can't "see" them, unless I use my eyes or.listen with my ears.
It's not easy like you think running around with 198 shields and 87 armor. If it was you'd see more scouts running with low hp. I sacrifice just like every other suit. If someone leaves my range, then I'm **** outta luck. TacNet is just a guide, it's not the bible. A good scout doesn't pay all their attention to their TacNet. They go between the two but mostly engross themselves in their environment.
Don't get mad because a Scout knows the ins and outs of a map better than you. Knows when to jump off, where to turn, where to hide and where to flank. We conditioned ourselves to go beyond the TacNet and focus on things not seen on the thing.

LMAO if you think running a scout suit takes any skill at all right now. i have ran assault my whole time in dust. i just put some SP in scout to see what it was like and boom all of a sudden easymode. you can see all heavys assaults and logis on the map at all times with no Ewar mods. only counter to a scout is a different scout. im not asking for it to be nerfed or anything but your all full of **** if you say the scout is not OP.
Sure running scouts has became easier for us, but us Scouts have to deal with the assault scouts just like you. I'm saying that scouts aren't OP because they're not. Yes they have capabilities to get tanky like an assault, but that's not our fault, that's CCP's fault for not giving a heavy penalty besides sprint speed to them stacking armor. Shield tanking I can't really comment on, because all you need to do is either run a shield type weapon or a flux & itllbe easier to kill them. All these assault scouts are just using the scout suit because there isn't a drawback to running it as such. If therew as a penalty to running assault scouts, I bet you nobody would use the suit in that manner again. But yeah scouts being easy mode is laughable at best, but I'm a Min Scout so my opinion is obviously biased. I can't armor tank because itt akes away from.the best thing I have; speed. & shield tanking,, Ehh sometimes and my highest shield tank fit is 308 shields and 87 armor.
Again, blame CCP not the players. Stacking plates should have a penalty to the suit's everything. From damps, speed and whatever else. Especially on shiels type scouts like ghe Cal. Only armor plates that don't have movement penalty is (all)ferroscale and basic reactive.

It depends on the person honestly. The typical scout would be Amarr. He gives scans to his squad. Cal and Gal is about being James Bond haha. And Min is a ninja.
