I could go either way on this. Keeping them from being slayer logis is easy, though, the assaults and new medium commandoes would be the ones with the DPS bonus. It was at least as much the fact that the assaults were lackluster before (and the original OP cal logi bonus) that made slayer logi's a thing.
All you really need to do is drop the fitting power of the suit and buff the equipment fitting bonus approporately. That way you can't take all the extra CPU/PG a logi suit has and just use it for brick tanking. Simple.

I... I just don't know what to say to you anymore. I know you care about being a logi, and are passionate about it, which is nice, but... It's unfortunate that any and all nuance is completely lost on you. You've got to think past step one here.
The issue we want to avoid is logi's using ALL their fitting power for brick tanking, proto weapons, damage mods, whatever, anything besides equipment. That was the fundamental problem with giving the logi suits massive unrestricted fitting power in early Uprising. They made assault suits obsolete because you could do more with them. Why use an assault suit when you got 20% more PG or CPU with a logi suit? The cal logi had more high slots than the assault and enough fitting power to put whatever you wanted there. They were running around with more shields than the current Calmando's had, and were much faster. The cal assault was like a gimped starter fit in comparison.
