^^This is a biased position as well.
Dual SMG Scout is murderous (especially with cloak and flux). Two sidearm slots will not make scouts "so bad it might as well be removed from the game", it will simply make you rethink how you handle your scout.

IDK, ask the random Minmatar Medium Frame that I saw running around with one today.
IDK if he was Assault, Logi or Medium Frame but he was a Minmatar Medium Dropsuit running around with a shotgun, TBH, I think he was trying to TK people in a pub
