Been experimenting w other fits outside my norm. Figured i'd give nova knives a try. I have to say, its real rewarding getting kills when done right. Only complaint against them is when I move in for the kill, decloak to start charging the knives and its like i started walking through tar. I understand it prob shares same code as firing any weapon, but is there a way to unrestrict movement speed for the knives, your handicapped enough bringing a knife to a gun fight as it is. |

I'm fine with that too, its all timing. Just figured I'd throw a suggestion out since Delta looks like its gonna have decent changes. If this wasn't too much of a bother to change it would seem more realistic. Then again if its easier to just take charge time away so you could just knife w/o the slug delay. Or not, I can adapt. I remember hopping around till the other guy emptied his clip, then went in for easy kill as he scrambled to reload, so tactics and timing can counter anything. |

However, the sprint bug seems to slow all movement, from sprinting to walk speed, so it can be an issue even when trying to chase down a heavy with a charged walk.
From what I am hearing, it is possible this is a client side fix, which is not happening anytime soon given the problems that will present.

Yes. Jump then immediately charge, then strike. It's the only way.

The problem is that sometimes in the heat of hit and run battle, I don't have the stamina for that.

There you go. Never going to happen. Up until then CCP did hint at possibly adding such a feature but now after looking at all of the changes happening in the past couple of months, I don't think we even need it anymore. The knives are just fine where they are now. Sprinting while charging is just no longer on the drawing board. They took the Post-It note off the board and into the shredder.

Practice "Jump Charge" * Equip Knives * Sprint * Leap toward target * Charge while airborne * Strike target on descent
You generally only get one shot with this maneuver; if you miss, you're pretty much f*cked but when it works its a thing of beauty. Timing is everything, and there's a 'bit of variability in that you need to anticipate your target's speed and bearing. You'll get the hang of it after a week or three of practice.
PS: Max your NK Operation ASAP and run Proto Knives when possible. PPS: If you have questions about knives, feel free to swing by the Barbershop in the Locker Room.
