I can never get the third shot off on ADS because either. A He jumped way above my elevation with his After burner or B He flew past my 300m range and since elevation is crap I have to get to high ground and often get distance to place hits making it easy to escape Solution increase range to 450 75% damage at 451-475 50% 476-500 insanely enormous fall off after that max range 550 Thoughts?

Honestly, the elevation of both 80GJ Railguns and Large Missile Launchers need to be increased.

I have stated elsewhere and reaffirm here that large turrets need to be able to look higher than they currently do.
I would not mind is rail were given 400m to start and then let's see where it goes.

I can tell you where it would go... More rail tank spam.
The large-rail is still the best anti-vehicle turret, it can still snipe infantry, it can still pew pew a lot of maps from the redzone... Increasing it's range would be a very stupid move.
More elevation is not required for either large turret, I have no trouble pew pewing dropships out of the sky with both... If a dropship is in range of actually shooting anything on the ground you can hit it, if it isn't you can use a small bump in the ground to hit it...
If a dropship hovers over you, you run & it isn't that hard to find a place to hide on most maps, or to taunt them into flying stupidly low so you can pop them out of the sky. |

Realize this an ads has to survive 3 rounds to make profit dont expect to kill him just because you see him and have av in your hands. |

The only dropship thats getting a touch up is the myron, but afterburner nerf is gonna hit dropships hard anyways. |

About the range:
CCP did wonderful work in handling the 'disappearing AR bullets' and introducing optimals and effective ranges some year ago. [REQUEST: FIX LARGE RAILGUN DISAPPEARING SHOTS] by giving them optimal, effective and absolute ranges.
Currently Lg Rail has a set range (300m?) after which the shot vanishes. In tank vs tank this creates stupid "I move back 5m and am totally safe but then I move 10m forward and dishfull damage"-

Just came out of a match where 3 railgun tanks were sitting in their own redline picking people off who ran in the hillside.
Honestly, doing damage from within your redline has to go first.

No for more anything,large rails can already snipe infantry from outside the swarm radius.
Was banned for fighting for logistics survival on 7/25/2014 02:11. Logistics will never be respected.

(1) No (2) Yes.
Large Missiles are supposed to have the best anti air functionality, it says so in theirs description (or used to at least) so a slightly greater elevation for them wouldn't be unreasonable.
Large Railguns? No. I can get behind a careful range reevaluation, but we don't want to make them The Go-To Turret...again.

Can't be arsed to test this, but pretty sure small missiles have better elevation than rails... I'd advise putting that on the top turret slot, also gets nice splash damage on infantry from that height. |

The problem with missiles is that they have sucky damage for AA and the missiles are way to inaccurate, and increasing the damage would make them OP for tank v tank or tank v infantry. Now if you make them lock on only AA.... oh boy. .. oh boy...

Disagree.
The damage is plenty acceptable currently and will become more favourable to the LMT in Delta when the profile is fixed and the accuracy is plenty reasonable unless you're at long range (more than 180 odd metres.) An increase in elevation would mean that an ADS would have much less wiggle room to hover in your blind spot, and usually that involves being fairly close to the tank (usually comfortably within 100m) at which range the LMT is plenty accurate and will bring almost every DS crashing down.
I don't think that's unreasonable.

(im a rail tanker btw) I've literally been in the center of cities and been unable to hit dropships that are just outside that's how short the range. The reason I would ever snipe them from the redline is if they are right outside and I have pretty much no choice.

I personally believe in for lack of better terms a "balance triangle" since ADS are currently better at killing then tanks if it is to remain that way then this should be the balance AV>Tank>ADS>AV since Dust is a very team work based game you use the Tanks to kill the enemy ADS you use your FG's to protect your ADS and your ADS to protect your tanks. If tanks turn out to be CCP's intended slayer than the meta would switch to ADS>Tank>AV>ADS Their are many other factors to consider that make this more complex but that is the basics I want to achieve.
