Listen buttercup I totally have been putting remotes on uplinks since beta and if I kill a guy and theres a uplink close by I put a remote on it instantly, if the guy is stupid and stubborn he dies again, if hes smart and know that uplink has been blown than he comes in somewhere else.
Its simple logic really and like the old saying goes bro:

Man up and spawn far from the fight and realize your team got pushed back

This is how stupid people in this game are:
Once I was on the bridge map with the supply depo at echo and the little building beside it.
I hack the crew, hack the point, hack the depo, switch fits scan the area and notice a link in the building, switch back and carefully proceeded into the building, just as im about to stab the link a guy comes in so I kill him, snnikit snikkit, so I toss a remote on the uplink; only it doesn't land on link it lsnds on the wall at head height, I think hhmmmmmmmmmmmm so I wait........
Dude spawns in BOOOM uplink lives on , hhmmmmmm , so I do it again , an again , I run outside get more remotes at the depo, I cime back an repeat.
I mean really; the same people died more than once to that , like as if I was too lazy not to go to the deposit and get more.
They call it a TRAP for a reason.
You can nerf a trap because a trap requires YOU to participate in your own demise thats why its a TRAP!

The Uplink is a nanite based equipment , make these intelligent , give them a 20m range, 360 scan, any equipment placed the nanites consume (destroy) it and any1 camping in the range after say 3_4 seconds will see their health deplete rapidly, so its should lead to destroy the uplink and move on
