As many of you may be aware, the fate of EVE: Legion is very uncertain, as CCP have neither confirmed nor denied it's green lighted-ness. Because of this, Legion (at least from the perspective of anyone who is not CCP or CPM) is actually a cat. In this instance, the opening of the box is EVE Vegas.
EVE Vegas will be beginning on the morning of 17th September, and ending on the night of 19th September, where CCP will talk about all they have been doing with EVE over the past few whiles. They also get to talk about all the other fancy "non EVE" thingies they have been up to, including but not limited to:
* Gambling;
* How to build the universe;
* All the crazy things that will be done during pub crawls;
* Why the Matari suck ;
* And any secret/hidden projects that they haven't been talking about for a while.
If they have an awesome presentation filled with Legion-y goodness, we will know it is alive and well (perhaps a bit radioactive), but should they fail to mention anything during the 3 days of the event, we can conclude with fair certainty that Legion is dead
Tl;DR: If they don't talk about Legion between the 17th and 19th September, we know it's actually dead. Till then, stroke the cat while you still can!

Legion is not dead whether or not it is talked about at EVE Vegas. It is in nowhere dictated that the box must be opened at EVE Vegas, so if they do not open the box at Vegas, Legion is still a cat.

Soraya as far as communty buy in goes, if nothing happens at eve vage the communty will cash out and move on. This is a simple fact, this is somthing ccp and cpm have no control over. You can stamp your feet all you want saying eve legion is fine and well. But your stakeholders are demanding eedvidance.
I would use your CPM status to kick in CCPs ego here i get the message across we need somthing or we are cashing out :-P.
Note: i actually like soraya so please back up my good vibe of you with somthing. Even a message from ccp going legion is not ready to be shown.

Cash out ho? They have no chips on the table. Will they stop playing dust? A lot already have. Will they biomass their characters? That would be stupid since if Legion ever did get made they would put themselves at a disadvantage for no reason. Will they not play Legion should it be announced and released later? I see no reason for this.

I wouldn't say that, as previously said, this is a cat we are talking about!
I am fairly confident that there is something in the works, given that CCP hasn't actually dismissed the project explicitly, and the fact that they elected a new CPM; which would be pointless if there was nothing for the new CPM to do.
This was merely point out to those with bigger trust issues than I, that we have a cat, and Vegas is a likely point that they will pull it out of the box, dead or alive. Hopefully alive.

Many people were around for the "10 year road map" and a new map needs to exist. The uncertainty is slowly tearing the community apart.
No matter how you want people to interpret silence, the speculation is allowing rumor mongers to run wild contributing to the break down of the community. |

This community broke down around Uprising, when threads went from needing to be bumped to keep on top - to never needing it again. At this point, people stick around because watching CCP flop around is like watching that chick in Jersey Shores get punched over and over again.
In fact, I'd say posters have been increasing and decreasing at a steady pace. CCP's lack of method and disrupting everyones fragile emotions have kept people wondering what else is going on, and thus people stay tuned. No real destruction of the community is going to happen as long as people keep coming back to watch the supposed break down.
Secondly:
CCP can't even add paint jobs to EvE, what makes you think they can remake Dust into a better game? Legion will continue because the project makes CCP's resume look nicer for when they sell out as a company, which, from the looks of 3 execs leaving and several others leaving/laid off - they're priming for. |

TBH i think the active forum posting community is down to like 20-30 people. or thats what it feels like, im only on the fourms beucase i want to see how this all ends, i always posted the theory games dont just end in a big bang they sort of just dwindled till the last few people in the room turn the lights out :(.
honestly i dont no why i keep coming back onto this forum i think its out of habbit more than anything else. At least the EvE guys are happy i guess

I honestly have no idea what the agenda of EVE Vegas is. I certainly haven't talked to CCP about it.
