Or we could just remove the thing and get rid of the second equipment slot scouts have. Just a thought. They should cost high. It's just scouts should get a blanket 75% fitting reduction. And the SCOUT bonus should be changed to scan radius. You know why? Because I believe that all scouts should scout effectively.

Welcome to scout investment where the sheer amount of sp to have the tools vitally important to the role is a staggering amount The amount of SP required to get a good Scout rig isn't nearly as intensive as an AV, Logi, or Pilot Rig. Though again, please show me the logic behind having to spend excessive amounts of SP just to fit a decent STD fit. By the time anyone has that kind of SP, they'll most likely have enough ISK to be running ADV/PRO Scouts anyways. Every item should be useful at lower tiers, Scouts are no exception.
Yeah, AV has been pretty crazy. Getting those proto forge guns and full sentinel suits took a ton of time. Same went for my logi suit. Scout hasn't been too bad, but then again, I had all the core skills I needed by that time.
Why am I still here yet?

Since the STD cloak no longer yields a dampening bonus, could there be a fitting reduction for it?
In it's current state it's nearly impossible for players who aren't highly invested into [Scout] Dropsuit Operation and/or their CPU/PG skills to make a decent fitting without completely gimping it.
I'm not saying the cloak should be inconsequential to fit, but what's the point of being 'STD' if you still need a few million SP to reasonably fit it?
I think it'd be fair considering how a STD logi can fit all STD equipment without gimping their fits...
Good, let the new recruits practice without it and therefore it won't be such a crutch. Same thing with the sniper rifle. Let's put respect back into the profession.

Hell. No.
Scouts have an easy enough time sneaking in for murder.
They do not need to get a cpu/pg buff to make surviving getting caught easier. |

Many Scouts are already invested into their Operation Skills, as well as CPU/PG skills to make fitting a STD cloak very easy while still having a good fit. The only people who don't, are the new players using Scouts.
And new players are easy kills regardless of what Dropsuit they're using.

I think it'd be fair considering how a STD logi can fit all STD equipment without gimping their fits... Maybe its not so common now but when i started playing in open beta most people skilled into the core skills before even skilling into any 1 dropsuit. What i consider core skills are armor, shield, cpu and pg skills ( forgot the exact names right now ) that give a % bonus to every dropsuit you wear. This makes even the starter fittings a bit better and never costs any extra isk. Yes it costs a few million sp but with these skills maxed out you have been playing for a bit and using very cheap gear so you should also have some isk bankrolled. When you do skill into a suit finally you actually have the isk to buy a few of it and probably fit it with mods and such and not run into many problems with cpu / pg. Myself i hate the cloak. Yea i play with it when i am either getting a beating in a match or just want to make people hate me. I consider it a no skill easy mode mostly because i use it on a blueprint dragonfly scout that until cloaks came out i never used. First match i played with a cloaker scout i went 20 /3

Yea i cant even use ADV cloak on ADV Gal scout with ADV electronics and engineering without making sacrifices such as basic Damage mods instead of enhanced. Plus i always have to have an enhanced CPU upgrade no mater what on my ADV Gal scout. Also its very fragile because i have to add a CPU upgrade.

I think it'd be fair considering how a STD logi can fit all STD equipment without gimping their fits... I think all light suits and basic scouts should come with a built in bpo basic cloak with low ditto get requirements.
Please no. While I agree many scouts use this as a tool, some of us really dislike using it and forcing it onto a suit is just another aggravating way to try and work around a suit fitting to be built the way you wanted it. All suits should have the freedom to be fit the way the player likes to fit, not the way "most" players think it should be played.
