So blasters & armour rep would appear to be the problem... If vehicles didn't have armour rep you'd actually have to go back to a supply depo instead of just backing off for a few seconds... The Madruga is already worse than the Gunlogi with turn speed, now you want to nerf the reverse speed of all tanks because a few swarmers didn't think to move to a better location? This would also nullify my comments on why tanks are fine vs dropships as reversing is infact the only real way to stop a tank getting boned by a dropship... Any 'turning' to evade them is just a delay in your death... So this will lead to another vehicle nerf and then another until LAV's are best vehicle in the game, which will then get nerfed. My point being, you should think about fixing the right problem to avoid making more problems. Edit- I'm also forgetting you're thinking about buffing shield tanks hp? so not only will it handle better, it will also out tank the armour based tanks... Seems like a terrible idea. But I like the logic of buffing shield tanks.
Blaster maddy (which is meant to be anti shield) is already outperformed by rail gunnlogi (which is meant to be a long distance anti armor) at close range, mid range and long range. Blaster maddy has only one thing that it can use as an advantage against this rail gunny: "strafing", which is going to be removed, rightfully so. Also tank battles only last a few seconds already anyway so it's good to be killed before you can even get moving if you are not moving already. I mean, vehicle vs vehicle battles are already insanely dull, pointless and boring, require no strategy, no thinking, no teamwork, no coordination.
It's all about the first shot as long as both of you are using rails, if you are in armor tank and your opponent happens to use missiles then you are destroyed before you know what hit you and if you use blaster you can only beat that missile tank and only if you happen to be using gunnlogi. This of course assumes equal piloting skills.
Maddies already can't fit anything, especially if you want gunners, so justice will be served in the form that shield tanking will now be even more the king of tank fights, armor had it for way too long before 1.7.
I'm really happy that CCP is killing off vehicles because let's be honest, they deserved to die ever since the first day of 1.7.
I'm willing to fight for vehicles again if CCP ever reverts vehicles and AV back to pre-1.7 state. And then do tweaks and fixes from there. But we all know that wont happen.
