So blasters & armour rep would appear to be the problem... If vehicles didn't have armour rep you'd actually have to go back to a supply depo instead of just backing off for a few seconds... The Madruga is already worse than the Gunlogi with turn speed, now you want to nerf the reverse speed of all tanks because a few swarmers didn't think to move to a better location?
This would also nullify my comments on why tanks are fine vs dropships as reversing is infact the only real way to stop a tank getting boned by a dropship... Any 'turning' to evade them is just a delay in your death... So this will lead to another vehicle nerf and then another until LAV's are best vehicle in the game, which will then get nerfed.
My point being, you should think about fixing the right problem to avoid making more problems.
Edit- I'm also forgetting you're thinking about buffing shield tanks hp? so not only will it handle better, it will also out tank the armour based tanks... Seems like a terrible idea. |

That's true for the most part, but I've had several fun and (somewhat) long tank battles, mostly involving Delboy... Shield Missile tank vs shield missile tank is probably the most entertaining thing in the game right now (providing both people are able to aim and maneuver... Sure most tank battles are just "oh look tank in the distance, camp out and wait for it to come into range of mah rails!! PEW PEW" or "Missiles pointed at that guys arse while he farms infantry, Bluuurrrrrrghh, dead!"
As it stands though I bring out armour tanks to combat rails, because it seems to do less damage than it does to shields, while blasters also bone shields... Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to work.
The changes I'd make to tanks, would be stopping the turrets turning while the tank is turning, to make positioning count more than pirouetting to keep someone permanently in view of your blatantly stronger turret.
Also make small blasters the 'go to' turret for defending against infantry, currently the worse all round turret even after buffs. |
