Two weeks, a couple hundred dropsuits expended, barely any ISK spent.
Operation: Expend the Inventory proceeds apace.
Objective: See how much ISK I can accumulate during the expenditure of ALL usable assets.
After two weeks and several hundred dropsuits (And a couple LOLtanks) the result is...
Just under 9 million ISK gained. Probably triple that expended in the normal course of play, as a conservative minimum.
Expended assets range from Standard commando/Sentinel fits to Prototype HMG and Forge Fits.
Yup. Risk Vs. Reward is well-balanced indeed. Breaking Even isn't a thing.
Will update as Operation: "Expend the Inventory" Continues. |

I'm pointing out the odd risk vs. reward setup here.
I'm well aware of how to make profit. I'm deliberately depleting my inventory to see what the payout becomes. I have well over a thousand dropsuits, forty tanks, ten dropships and a partridge in a frakking pear tree to go.
if I was trying to make money I'd use my BPO fits. This is an assperiment. So far the assperiment shows High-risk, little reward.

I run forty different fits. off the top of my head I have three amsent, three galsent, eight CalSent, Four MinSent, One Min Heavy frame, two Galmandos, One each of the commandos, a few leftover aurum setups from waaaay back when I cared and still had hope, and various BPO fits.
No militia suits/weapons, a lot of it ADV/PRO
In short, pick a suit. |

lol whats funny is most people that holler "get guud" have never even come close to 40+kills
Get guud is the mating call of a loser. I've gone 54/2 (Nanite injectors prevented me from losing a suit, never repeated this feat since), and 43/13 within the last three weeks. Wanna know a secret?
No one cares. Its a brief, fleeting thrill that you absolutely laid waste to a buncha unprepared goombas who shoulda known better than to rock on your terms.
But it matters for jack all.
In both cases I got less than 400k.
In matches I've annihilated upwards of 10-16 vehicles (Thank you pilot lemmings) I have gotten maybe 350k-ish? And you can rest assured, I lost fits. I lost GOOD fits. Hunting good tank drivers and ADS pilots is an art. Killing halfass, non-tactic-using pilots is easy. But i been doing this since beta, so I have the forge gun pretty much down to a damn science.
I'd say effort should be rewarded. In DUST it really isn't. Not well, anyway. |
