The RoF between bursts eases the pain of missing, but if you somehow get screwed over by a scout jumping around or glitchy terrain, you're still going to over heat and you're still going to die.

Plus it's hard on the wallet. Needs an LP store variant.

It's not nonsense. I speak the truth.

I never said it wasn't OP, because it is. But as before it was buffed, the regular HMG is still better at handling crowds of strafing targets.

There is truth in what OP says. Burst HMG is actually worse than regular HMG versus strafing scouts. But it truly dominates versus other heavies, as it's basically an instakill on their fat heads.

Oddly, while my HMGs were nerfed a bit with the heat (Glad they decided on that suggestion instead of on damage or RPM), the BURST HMGs were buffed.

 MLR-A Burst HMG:
 Old: 4 bursts (45), 1 extended-pause-then-burst (45), 1 mini-burst-then-overheat (7)
 New: 5 bursts (45), 1 mini-burst-then-overheat (41)

 Six Kin Burst HMG:
 Old: 4 bursts (45), 1 extended-pause-then-burst (45), 1 mini-burst-then-overheat (24)
 New: 6 bursts (45), 1 mini-burst-then-overheat (11)

 Kinda weird...

Oh crap someone is actually trying to define a complaint instead blindly screen nerf. I'm wondering where range bears in this. If the Burst is going to be a Heavy Shotgun then how important is footwork? If there is a problem is it with all burst HMGs or just the protype?

I pay very close attention to everything fatsuit related, heh. I have very bit of info for every fatsuit, HMG, Forge Gun, Armor Plate, and Armor Rep from every iteration on my other computer for comparisons
  ^
Main reason why the CPU/PG "nerf" did not concern me, we can fit heavies better then we could back before the racials were fleshed out.

Unless there's more than two heavies. Or more than three mediums.

The regular HMG also does better at crowd control.

Nerf it's RPM by 1000. So it does the same amount of damage, but it just takes a little longer.

Before the HMG nerf, before heavies were the "in" thing, I tried the burst on my alt account. Yea, its about 33K more than the Boundless and I found myself not liking the short controlled bursts. It was odd for me. I wanted a continuous stream of projectiles. Plus I didn't like how it overheated.

 But now?

Since the HMG nerf, and the Caldari Sentinel changes, I have now realized that I must keep up with the Joneses. Thus this is the problem with some nerf requests. A nerf to one particular causes the influx of the next best thing and so the problem doesn't eradicate, it just morphs or is born like life found in the most hostile conditions.

So now I will be learning the bursts for the sake of survivability. A Boundless doesn't mean squat anymore when somebody got a HMG with RPMs that just poops all over the regular HMGs.

Interesting how that works around here.
