So after delta, snipers went.................... Eh! Because they are not meeting there requirements I'll say. When you think of a sniper rifle, you think a POWERFULL LONGRANGE RIFLE. You see the first two bold words? Yup those two are not met and should be fixed in delta.
Power.
They obviously need a buff. Currently, I can only one shot scouts with a charge(I haven't used my Thales lately). Before delta I could oneshot most medium dropsuits. All dropsuits but logis have been buffed I believe (also commandos but the have lots of hp). I believe they will be brought up to just under the amount of hp assaults have. Let's say most logis will have 400 hp just under the 500 assaults and above the 300 scouts. Now a sniper should be able to oneshot most targets. The current charge damage is about 320 I think idk. Assuming logis will get there buff, I can still only oneshot scouts which is....... Bad. Let's say we buff it to 425. Now I can one shot scouts and logis as well as some assaults. (Not using mods,only damage bonus). From there, the Thales should get 450 damage and then we can work down.
Thales-450- 1 shot scout 1 shot logi 1 shot assault 2 shot commando 2-3 shot sentinal
Charge- 425- 1 shot scout 1 shot logi 1-2 shot assault 2-3 shot commando 2-3 shot sentinal
Ishukone-400- 1 shot scout 1-2 shot logi 1-2 shot assault 2-3 shot commando 2-3 shot sentinal
Advanced-350- 1 shot scout 1-2 shot logi 2-3 shot assault 2-3 shot commando 3-4 shot sentinal
Standard-300- 1-2 shot scout 1-2 shot logi 2-3 shot assault 2-4 shot commando 3-4 sentinal
Kaalakiota tac-280- 1-2 shot scout 2-3 shot logi 2-3 shot assault 3-4 shot commando 3-5 shot sentinal
Adv tac-220- 1-2 shot scout 2-3 shot logi 3-4 shot assault 4-5 shot commando 5-7 shot sentinal
Standard tac-160- 2-3 shot scout 3-4 shot logi 3-5 shot assault 4-6 commando 5-7 shot sentinal
These numbers are not including damage mods or sniper bonuses.
Zoom
Most say 200 m I think with tactical More than that. The range of fire is 600 or 800 I don't remember. We should get a 400-600 zoom fidelity. I would also like to see a adjustable zoom.
So what do you guys think?

Also can we get a cross hair with a small dot like the plasma cannon but also cross like. So it's a "standard" crosshair like in most games with snipers.

No sir I'm not. They are kinda bad right now. And don't be extremely freaked out by these numbers either I only rounded and used them as an estimates le to see how many shots it would take to kill different dropsuits.

Sniper rifles should follow a specific amount of shots to drop targets. It should scale according to the targets frame. This example of course is using base line numbers. Once hp and damage mods are added, it should scale fairly evenly but remain partial to the hp. This is considering the fact we have prof for weapons and a caldari commando.
Light frames - 1 body/1 head Medium frames - 2 body/1 head Heavy frames - 3 body/2 head
Also, only squishy scouts should be one body shot kills.
Edit : headshots should be more of a reward than they are currently.

Only if we proto stomp! And there is no viable options for pc battles.
It's not directly about deaths, but our deaths directly affect our work rates, every time we die we need to reposition etc, and that brings down the amount we can achieve that why you will never see a sniper going 36-15 etc. 15 deaths for a sniper would mean having no time to even shoot (an extreme example they'd also need to be the worst one out there) |

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA so funny, with my charge, fully complex dmg modded up, calmando at level 4 (currently using the neo proto suits I got wayyyyyyyy back during the freebie event), and sr prof 4 there's still assaults I can't OHK with a headshot.....care to try again?
On average I'll get around 20 kills in a good match of retards standing still, or cloaked scouts who don't think I can pick up the shimmer from 400m out, miiiiight make about 150k-175k....1 death=me making maybe 25ksk out of the match, but yeah, such a huuuuge reward involved in this too.
