The close matches you get are really enjoyable so let them play out a little longer. I ran exclusively Ambush today and of all my matches, I believe there was one where a team has 20+ clones at termination. If it is within 20 on an OMS, then it is a close match, and that extended time gives people more of an opportunity to get an OB that may turn the tables. If there is a protostomp going on, it really shouldn't take that much longer. Longer match = more WP = more SP. What is wrong with that?
Yep, totally agree.

with OMS i've noticed more and more games lasting til at least the 5min remaining mark whereas before a match would last around 5-7mins.
It's quite strange, this discussion.
In the time before FF, protostompers reigned supreme, vehicles were included in all game modes and you know what? Ambushes were over rather quickly.
Then folks complained about the protostompers. They complained about vehicles. Now that FF is over with, protostompers are not as frequent in Ambush. Vehicles are only in OMS. The end result? The opinion of the OP, that the ambush is too long.
LOL, its like we are in the insane loop of ideas that cripple other aspects that are inherently linked to it all.
In other words, when ambush was faster, people complained. Now we are complaining about it being too long?
I don't know about your experiences because the ambush games I've been in are not over quick nor are they too long. It's somewhere in the middle for me.
Plus, let me say this, its not hard to find the reds once you learn or remember your spawn locations. For instance, the map with the bridge. Folks spawn on the other side of the bridge and always run across the bridge looking for reds. I know that the reds always spawn in the Gallente installation facility to the left. Unless I'm with some seasoned players, I'm the only one grabbing the first kill (or death) before people realize what's happening.
