I don't know... I've made an alt that's advanced Gal scout with all the EWAR skills advanced and a pro shotty (but i only use the CRG right now) and sometimes it's fun.
but other times i just feel like a complete n00b scout and just get completely slaughtered. maybe not every map is for scouts or something. but i was up against some proto scouts and even though i used 3 advanced dampeners which should've got me under their scans they were still seeing me while cloaked and it's just so frustrating.
sometimes i can't stand being paper thin it bothers the hell out of me. the only reason i am even considering it is the cloak with shotgun. and there is talk of Rattati nerfing the delay between decloaking and firing the shotgun so i am even more apprehensive.
another part of me thinks it's really fun sometimes and that gallente has the best overall EWAR so i will get use out of it no matter what happens to the cloaked shotty. i doubt a cloak nerf will stop shotgun scouts because they don't need it. in fact if there is a delay for firing while cloaked they'd probably be better off without the cloak at all
i think they should be careful not to make the decloaking animation last too long. any longer than a second and it starts to lose its novelty of giving you the element of surprise. i agree it needs to be done but it should be done carefully. honestly I believe the cloak is not as much of a problem as the OP EWAR bonuses scouts get. medium suits cant ever hope to compete with their EWAR and i think that is what makes scouts scary, not the cloak.
i think i am going to wait until we learn what is coming in Delta before I spend SP on anything new. i'll just use this time to bump up my heavy skills like forge gun ammo capacity or something.

you're an idiot. i said i used 3 advanced. that's 20% each. people get away with using only 2 complex on gallente and they're still unscannable. that's 25% each. so i technically had 10% less scan profile than they do, or since i only had a basic cloak, about the same as having a proto cloak with 2 complex damps.
when i said they were seeing me, they were seeing the cloak shimmer. not my scan profile.

Yeah, in that situation I was better off with some armor stacking, but unfortunately i don't have that on the character.
Whoever said a double nerf to shotgun scouts is coming is right. I'm holding off until I know more about what's happening.

i am not a FOTM chaser. more of a gallente loyalist and a player who wants a challenge, not the most OP suit in the game.
somehow amarr became the most op sentinel... but i didnt choose it for that. i just wanted to be better than the other heavies, and it was also out of respect for it being the first heavy ever created.
that's also one of the reasons i wanted Gal scout but I will see what happens with delta first

that's BS. you jump into a proto heavy's face with a militia shotgun and he'll take like 1000 damage or something. like they have jumped point blank into my goddamn face with those things
