Thank you for effectively killing what was left of Planetary Conquest by removing the ISK incentive behind holding land.

Make districts with corresponding timers have a 25% stacking penalty, it makes to where you can hole a good amount of land, but not without having a Euro, American or Japanese/French or whatever foreign land division, and whatever you can't hold on obscene timers, will be taken by those who can.

alt corps. Not like that's not an issue already. Besides, there will never be such a thing as perfect PC. I just think that my plan is the best. Why you ask? Watch this video to find out.

Simple idea. Make research facility's produce isk and have a slow clone Regen rate. Make prod facility's only produce clones. No isk. And make cargo hubs produce both. Once it's maxed they get a slight amount of isk.
If people want to farm isk they hold research facility's. That's fine it means they cannot attack. If people chose to NOT attack them then so be it. That's our fault for letting then farm. Soon as it is under attack it stops producing isk. To top them locking it with an alt corp...you make it so the defender only get isk based off of total equipment and suit losses...from both sides.

I don't see what the problem is. Perhaps they could increase the payouts a bit more, but I think it's good this way. I'd wager there are 3x the overall number of players involved in PC right now than at any time since this time last year.
The biggest issue is still that you have to wait 24-48 hrs to fight.

make it so a district gives you a different kind of LP payout that you can use in a special PC store to buy gear that helps you get an edge to defend the district or go to war.

As one of the few PC mercs who missed the cash flow of passive ISK, I'm unsure how it should change.. I can just throw out opinions that I have gathered while building DMG into a PC side
- Passive payouts led to greed, mercs expect high ringing fee's as they were used to them for so long. The concept of fighting for payouts is lost on most mercs as they just want the ISK
- Active farming, we all know this is going on with corps attacking their allies, not fighting = free ISK
- So one thing is certain, with the state PC is in, none can survive other than teams that have stockpiled passive ISK As the payouts barely cover expenses and that's if you win, a loss hits your team hard costing est.25mil ISK
So what do we do? how can payouts be balanced so that corps can't hoard districts and become too strong..? It's a tricky one and one thing the community has proved, they will find a way to abuse it.. no matter what CCP 'fix'
I suggest a simple method, that will benefit all mercs/corps that are PC active and that is allow us to make use of salvage Salvage is horribly broken, random loot that most mercs cannot use to begin with, I'm sure giving dedicated salvage would not be possible (eg.I would receive Plasma Cannons/Knives/Combat Rifles etc.) but there is a way to make all of the salvaged equipment useful to mercs/corps and that is by changing how salvage is payed out to mercs, It would no longer be received directly by the mercs but would be added to a Corp Locker where Directors can then distribute it to the mercs that have use for it, along with the ability to sell for ISK that's added to corp wallet
^^ This gives at least some reward to the losing side, along with making salvage drops actually matter As now, I'm lucky if 5/20 salvage items are anyway good to me.. I'm sure this is the same for many mercs
(Just an opinion and me thinking out loud, so be nice when the Vultures swoop in to tell me why it won't work)
And yes CCP, this would require a client update for your 2 year dedicated playerbase..
Innapropriate Irrelevence...
Welcome to the Dust Forum, hang around to see why everyone else left :/

You should probably choose to not talk if you don't know what you are talking about.
I'd say we do 10-15 battles a week where there is no arrangement. District acquisition isn't a big driver in PC at the moment. It's mostly about getting fights and creating content.

Passive ISK definitely made me want to do PC... now I'm like meh.. I only get on for DUST for PC, I only PC when I'm asked to, otherwise, it's Netflix for me. Put back in passive ISK and paychecks come back, then I would... probably still not get on except for PC, but I guess it's too late now!
Kane personally ruined PC for me, in his attempt to break Nyain, so he could backstab them, like they tried to do to AE, emphasis on tried. |

The paychecks guaranteed that it would be a small, little tiny group of people playing each other all the time. And it increased the turnover of bandwaging hoping corps.
Everything about that situation was bad for PC and Dust in general. It takes only a few minutes of thought to see that.

What is weird is that Kane is likely the one that pushed for the mechanics that allowed PC to be such an elite gamemode. Without those mechanics those paychecks wouldn't have been possible.

Wait...
Hang on. clunky district lock timers... work like stront bay timers... with passive ISk rivalling moongoo for comparative income...
Nope. Sorry It's mini Dominion Sov mechanics ported to DUST.
And pretty much everyone who plays EVE (and has to deal with goddamn SOV timers) thinks the SOV mechanics are utter crap.
And let's face it. Isk faucets are bad for the game. PC was a poorly-timed ISK faucet.
Now it needs to be profitable on a per-battle basis. With the SOV-holding corp getting bonus bux for each battle, but blaming Kane is disingenuous,
After all...

You all never needed help for your corps to torch themselves. Didn't apply to us. We actually stuck together. The key was district locking though with the **** mechanics. The **** mechanics made it possible for 3 or 4 teams to dominate 245 districts. It sounds crazy but that basically how it panned out. The ISK faucet stayed the same for nearly a year after blowing the whistle on what was going to happen.
CCP's answer to the ISK faucet piped to the top 1% players of Dust? Removal of BPOs and an ISK sink in FW. It makes you cringe when you think about how badly CCP botched damn near everything after 5/14/13.
