Currently the only bonuses to FW are Specialist weapons, certain equipment, and the ability to use Weapons/Equipment/Suits etc...
This is nice but could use some expansion.
Remove the ISK from the cost of LP items, the ISK sink is supposed to occur during battle not through the buying of gear.
Add an LP bonus to the top three spots this offers incentives to use better gear which helps to get rid of problems such as people using BPO's and not sinking in ISK because typically better gear=better performance.
Reduce the amount of LP to an insanely low amount or 0 for those under 250 wp this is an insanely easy requirement to hit and discourages AFK farming.
Add more Weapons/Suits/Equipment etc... that are better than their prototype counter parts. This can be easily done with most modules/suits etc... the PG/CPU reductions while useful is stale on most other gear and I really want to discourage the Idea of full proto/complex suits if it costs a metric F*** ton of LP I'm more OK with it though. I will provide a few examples
Shield extenders with a smaller or no reduction to shield depleted recharge delay, armor plates with less of a speed penalty. Suits with one or more of the following: Slight PG/CPU increase, +1% bonus to a suits racial bonus, an a addition secondary bonus Ex. a PE bonus to min logi, not as big as main bonus.
Complete the loyalty store with a full compliment of LP gear for all the gear that exists in game.
Host an FW event that provides an incentive to get into FW.
I'll update this as more ideas fly into my head.
Thoughts anyone?

I like what you are doing here and it makes me excited that we could really get some racial flavor into the gear available in each LP store. Here is what my brain immediately vomited up:
Imperial Guard Armor Plates: Same CPU and PG reqs as standard plates but have 10% more hp and 1% more speed penalty Federation Armor Reppers: 5% higher rep rates but 1% higher PG requirements Brutor Tribe Kinetic Catalizers: 5% better than the equivalent standard kin cats with no downside but a massive cost
I will post up more ideas as I think of them.

All just because they ran into a squad of FA (ab)using (OP) scouts with 500 armor or shields running 8m/s getting OHKs with SGs and (now OP) NKs. Sure sounds fair to me. im happy with the isk cost as it remains a little bit of a isk sink but counting all the salvage you can acquire you are in fact saveing ALOT of money as last fw i was in i got an adv suit and several pro moduals from salvage. i do however agree with the fact that the FW LP stores need filling/populating and that faction gear should be better then their non faction counterparts.. IE.. caldari complex shield extender = no -% to shield amount.. or amarr plates = less movement penalty, gallente armor repairers = more hp/s repped

-1 for the wp requirement Screwing over noobs is the fastest way to get them to leave. It's not their fault they ran into a squad of FA (ab)using scouts with 500 shields or armor running at 8m/s OHKing with SGs and (now op) NKs.
NK's are OP? I never thought I'd see the day.
BTW, NK are only effective at a range of 2m. 2m.
Why the hell would you let a scout get within 2m of you? Especially since most Min Scouts only run around 357 HP.
If your answer is "They snuck up on me", then don't you believe that killing you is the CORRECT end of this scenario? Since they used a scout suit to sneak up on you and OHK you? Almost like stealth is WORKING AS INTENDED?

Sure seems fair doesn't it? especially after they lose their suits in that predetermined fight. So far your idea would seem fair, except the part about 'higher level gear'. More lp as well as a isk removal would make those with huge corps have an overwhelming advantage seeing as their corp would cover the costs. All your suggestions about lp would only favor players like yourself, with already huge wallets. +1 to the special gear though FW is supposed to be a high level of play as well as an ISK it is not supposed to be noob friendly and I can place pretty high against noobs when I use ADV gear and if I never use Pro in Pubs I go ISK positive I don't need a corp for ISK.
BTW No scout has 500 shields and if your running a 500 armor SG scout your doing it wrong, not to mention some players like myself have been assaults forever and have used them before they were good so not everyone is a scout.

I don't see the issue with an SP requirement for FW, it's supposed to be a higher level of play. If you actually make it work that way, high risk, high reward, more competitive, the better players will move there and open up pubs a little more for noobs.
Also eliminates the ability for any jackass to make a fresh alt and run around awoxing all over the place.

Great ideas all! I really don't have anything to add because I'd like to see all this and that's the most we could hope for in one iteration.
Let's start with just having LP versions of everything that's on the market. I need me some LP Complex Reactive Plates!!!
A faction warfare event would be amazing and timely.
Yes, and the next step after that needs to be adding more superior items to the store. Speaking for myself, the LP store helps me in two ways. a) I wont have to spend the 1.5 mil SP to get to Armor Plating and Kinetic Catalyzation 5 anytime soon. b) I love using the top tier items like Boundless Rep Tool, Specialist Mass Driver, Imperial Flux link, and State Wyrykomi injector. I want more of both. All the plates so I can really de-stress about putting SP elsewhere, and more high tier items because it's awesome new content!
I'm thinking for starters of some new adv/proto dropsuit variants. Two for each adv/proto frame: one has more fittings, the other has tweaked stats. For example, for Min logi one would have a good dose of extra PG and a some more CPU to accommodate their natural inclination towards Kin Cats (think replacing an advanced ferroscale with a complex kincat). The other would have lower profile (to somewhate avoid detection by nearby assaults seeking to kill the repper), larger scan range (to improve the head swiveling intel gathering that remote reppers should be doing), and shorter shield recharge delays. Just some initial thoughts. |

I however am and always will be a huge proponent of all things Amarrian and FW.
I'm not letting you suckers continue bastardising FW and demanding it have an effect on EVE. Having seen it from both sides I can understand why EVE players don't care to interact with us.

All your model has done is increase the player base...... and adds content to be earnt in game. So what you get is periodic cycles of players farming one FW for X content for an hour before moving on to another.
But it does not solve core issues.
Does not encourage loyalty, no loyalty system at all was mentioned. Players should be encouraged to stick with single factions for extended periods of time and become invested in their successes and failures.
Does not mention specified deployments. Specific planets, systems, regions. Players need to be able to target specific locations. Currently FW means very little to the average EVE pilots......and it could mean so much more. Dust modifiers alter the system wide requirements for victory points allows Dusters to drop contestation rates by 10% or buffer them by 10%..... this could mean so much to EVE players if they know Dusters are round the clock defending their systems alongside them or attacking systems to make the invasion easier.
Does not provide flexible features for corporate use making FW more practical. Its currently an ISK sink..... it should not be. It should be possible to make profit from FW Dust side like I do EVE side. Not to mention that FW systems tend to provide the following modifications/ bonuses.
- Owning an FW system allows you to base of our that system, not owning mean you must dock/base elsewhere. A system is like a fortress. - Owning an FW system currently makes Industry, Clone replacements, etc cheapers. A system is economically valuable - Donating LP to a Systems makes it harder for the enemy to take and increases LP pay outs for everyone plexing in the system as well as increasing T status. Thus selfless donation and investment in the Miltia benefits everyone and encourages co-operating between militia groups while paying back out in LP 2-3x over.
As I see it your system would fundamentally place the emphasis on simply farming for what you want and not sticking around with your chosen faction.

true is right, there are so many things that could and should be done with fw, we need the ability to choose the systems and districts we want to defend and attack above all other things, however i do like your idea of no lp for any participant that cant score 250 wp. we need sandbox districts we can populate at will each individual dust player should have to buy their own personal stock of clones and base from where the clones reside. and corporations that do fw should have to sign up like eve pilots do, no flip floping sides every other battle |

Some of your ideas seem like just wishful dreams without client side updates but I can work with some of what you have suggested. I thought the intention was to be an ISK sink? Though I suppose it doesn't similarly reflect EVE it's flawed. I will edit with some more ideas but I'm just curious since I don't remotely have an understanding of EVE how possible is it for these ideas of yours such as choosing planets and investing and donating LP to a System. As far as making loyalty more important for a start I suppose their could be a heavier penalty on playing for an opposing faction, and a more drastic LP difference per tier I think it's only like a 45 LP difference at the moment.

I mean I'll take the lastest example from the Amarr/ Minmatar Warzone.
Burn Huola.
If you don't know about it I shall explain.
Huola is a system resting in the Devoid Region which is traditionally an Amarrian held Region. It is a central corridor through the Warzone from Amarr through to Minmatar space. However this system has been held by the Minmatar Militia and has not be captured for about 3-4 years and many Millions or Billions of Minmatar assets were held in the systems Hangars.
The System is always Buffered to T5 and always has a Minmatar and Pirate presence active in system which is why it has been called "Fortress Huola" for such a long time.
Recent with WINMATAR's flip to the Amarr Militia post civil war they announced their intent to take the system. As a result J4LP, Amarrian Vengeance, PIE Inc, Black Watch, and most other Amarr FW factions commited a great portion of their resources to the Siege of Huola, otherwise known as "Burn Huola", with the intent to head shot the system.
The Siege itself lasted the better part of 5 weeks.
Every Amarrian Corporation established a POS, stocked them up with Billions of ISK of ships, and laid siege to the system to contest every plex. EVE Man hours put into the Siege would have been in the thousands, the costs of ships lost in ISK was immense number into the tens of billions.
While I was flying I heard one of the FC's ask about the Dust modifiers and what it did. Delighted the modifier was positive and we required 10% less VP to take the system we went of plexing. 2 hours later it was in favour of the Minmatar he basically wondered what the **** Dusters were doing...... to which I explained the having a competent squad deployed to Huola was going to be a matter of luck since we couldn't control where we deployed.
Looking back at the stats we had control fluctuate, and reports from dusters of 1/4 battles being in Huola.
Now if everyone in the Min and Amarr FW dust Militias knew about Huola they might have all deployed there around the clock as well....... they did not so all that happened to the Dust modifier was constant fluctuations.
Plenty of stories came out of EVE about the Siege but none came out of Dust.
A Solid ownership of the timer for the Amarr could have been the morale boost we needed to take the system once and for all only requiring 90% VP to take the system, or it could have helped the Minmatar end the siege weeks early.
