And move Kinetic Catalyzers to high slots.
How do you sprint in EVE? With Microwarpdrives and Afterburners. Where do those go?
Mid Slots.

Auris Lionesse wrote:Yeah this has been known for a long time, but apparently when they were making the game they had never played eve online because shanghai got alot of stuff blatantly wrong from where mods go to how weapons are divided among the races and even suit roles.
gal should get dps bonuses to all hybrid weapons including rails and caldari should get range bonuses to all hybrid weapons from large blasters to shotguns. and the repair tool should be for gallente and amarr not minmatar. gal/amarr logi ships get remote armor repair bonuses. min and caldari get shields.
cardiac regulators and kinetic catalysers both need to be high slot and damage mods should have always been low. thats just how it is. this is new eden afterall.
I guess we can only hope that they understand this for Legion, and get it right the first time.

Damage mods in the high slots keep them in check. We don't need speedy caldari and minmatar fits with damage mods and over 700 shield hp not counting armor
Shields better than armor... Lol hilarious. I would respond but this is clearly a troll post.

Maken Tosch wrote:2. Fitting layouts in Dust do not match the fitting layouts in Eve. Suits have no mid slots. As a result, anything in Eve Online that fits on a mid slot won't have a slot available in Dust and would have to be put into a high or low slot. This affects gameplay balance to an extremely large degree.
Not really though. Its just different naming. High slots in EVE are essentially mimicked by weapon/equipment slots and mid slots in EVE are mimicked by high slots in Dust. Its just that they put items in weird places for no apparent reason...
Although, it looks like they are changing it for Legion if the market screenshot is to be believed. The Plasma Rifle in the market was listed as a high slot item, so it looks like they may be going for a more 'eve-like' approach with high slots and hard points.

Definitely don't disagree on that, but a lot of the design philosophy is similar. They should have asked the guys in Reyk "Why did you put this slot here? etc" and i'm sure there are very valid reason, most of which would have applied to Dust.
A lot of the problems with Dust is that its not more like EVE imo. Sure, you don't lock onto someone and orbit at 30m until someone dies but the fundamental design philosophy behind shields and armor and damage types etc all play in. Another big problem with Dust is missing racial parity.
In terms of codebreakers and biotics in the high slots? I can agree with that completely. I think they would both be better suited in the highs.
In regards to Dust vs Legion. Unfortunately I think Rattati already tried moving Codebreakers to high slots and said he couldn't due to technical limitations. So in regards to this happening in Dust at all its unlikely but hopefully posts like these influence Legion development...
