Backlog as in, "We want to do it but haven't gotten around to it yet" |

You think adding 1-2HP a second is going to matter when they're standing on top of nanohives that rep them 20-40x faster?
I think a small rep would go a long way in helping shield units deal with some of the problems they suffer with their armor. |

I said it before they deployed the limited ammo on vehicles, they needed a better way to restock them then current depots. With no new features, this means we have to make due with current depots and their horrid placements in regards to vehicles. As much as I enjoy killing vehicles, I agree with this. There are tons of socket variations where a supply depot is up on top of a building or down in a pit that renders them completely inaccessible to ground vehicles. A small armor repair ability for dropsuits is also something I'm in favor of. please note that supply depots use to repair dropsuits back in the day. I believe it was removed due to players grouping around depots, you could spam grenades and enjoy higher reps.
1-2HP a second is not going to be a noticeable factor in combat when most rep-suits now have around 30 HP/s. It is however extremely useful in terms of armor maintenance, particularly for shielded suits, and adds additional tactical significance to the holding and position of supply depots.

Well that may be the case that I missed it, but HP and armor rep rates are significantly higher than they used to be, and as such, as I've stated before, I don't think a point or two of repping is going to make that much of a direct combat difference.
Hell, the Gallente get their built in 1-2 HP/s rep and the benefit is marginal at best, and they have it all the time, not just near a static location. |

John Demonsbane wrote:Ha! Are you suggesting that CCP may not have taken care to make each side of a map equivalent and not give any sort of tactical advantage to the team randomly chosen to get that side? Preposterous!
Can also confirm that depots used to repair armor. Fairly certain it was still there after beta "ended".
It's possible I missed it since I always had an armor repairer on all of my suits, and the amount it repped was not a noticeable enough difference from the reps I already had equipped. |
