Plasma Cannon is most evidently plagued with the same problems it has always had:
- False Shots
- Hit Detection
- Slow projectile travel (a tank can literally outrun your shot)
Adjustment to Damage was nice but unnecessary - it was good to have tiers scale up in a meaningful way but does not address core deficiencies.
So here is my questions: why would you guys not fix PLC? There are plently of ppl who still use it because it is a unique weapon and fun to use; but it's downright depressing to be penalized for pursuing diversity and not playing 'Automatic Rifle 514' that everyone else is playing.
As a matter of suggestion - it would be very easy to increase the velocity of projective travel 2 x without making the weapon OP. And if you guys were to make more serious efforts, ideally try to fix problmes with dud/false shots and hit detection.

The plc is definitely in need of a buff. For a single shot weapon, the splash damage is pretty pitiful. In fact, it's so pitiful, I think i've only been killed by a plc about 2 times in my 3 months of playing. It's not even that effective against vehicles.
Well, I once meleed an R.E....
I've only ever known 1.8...

I hope it won't be changed too much. I enjoy those moments where I squeal like a little girl because I managed to pull off some lucky kill from 100m+. Nothing beats the satisfaction of seeing that kind of +50. |

You should have seen it before this somewhat recent buff. I have played for over a year and until recently i didnt even know it was a weapon in the game. |

The Plasma Cannon is an AV weapon. The Splash is just a little bonus for flavor. Splash damage should not be the main focus of it. It's a pretty awful idea to buff it.
Direct shots can hit infantry, this already makes it more useful than the Swarm Launcher.
Making splash damage a focus is a terrible, terrible idea.
I get upwards of 20 kills in a match using the PLC vs Infantry. Those kills are from Minmatar Scouts or direct hits. It's a skill based weapon.
I just hope the PLC gets a higher fall rate when the speed gets increased.

OK cool... except it never can kill a tank. and both D's and lavs are 3 x the velocity of plc shot

Just speed up the time travel by 10-20% and I'll be happy. Then I'll use it more. Right now I only use it against heavy spam and campers.

It should one shot dropships.
If a dropship gets hit by a PLC, that drepship deserves to be dead for flying so close to the ground

I am not saying it's impossible to use - it's just worse than every primary weapon in the game and most secondaries.
