there is a dead zone in the middle of your strafe when useing a controler. KB/M there is no dead zone so they can go full speed one way then immediately change full speed the other. strafeing in dust has ben the cheesyist thing in any fps but people just do it out of habit now.

You can come close with a DS3, but it'll require you to completely relearn how to strafe. Controller Settings: X Axis, cranked all the way up. Y Axis, <20 When engaging a "strafe fight" you can't rest your thumb on the left analog. You have to lightly flick it back and forth.
*I just thought of another way (it may just work...) You could put a rubber band on the analog so that it pulls hard to either the left or right. When you engage a fight, you release and allow the band to snap you hard in one direction, catch it and push back quickly, over and over. I would equate this to driving a car with terrible alignment. It may constantly pull to the left but if you release the wheel and yank it back to the left, the left to right movement is both more exaggerated and aggressive. Just a theory... it does not matter at some point the stick will have to cross the dead zone in order from pressing right to be pressing left there is no way to do this without crossing the dead zone.

Lol no, strafeing this way has been a part of shooters since ive been playing them. To me strafe is the defensive side of combat where shooting is the offensive. It was better in halo 1 pc with no aim assist but still useful to confuse aim assist now. Without strafe we would just line up like the brits and see who could out dps-áeach-áother. Lots of euros use kb and m I have learned, dont know why. depends what shooters you are playing because most games have a accuracy penalty for hoping around and moveing. its actually more about who is faster on the draw and has better aim landing headshoand useing cover instead of hoping around like a fool and hipfireing your gun in there general area letting auto-aim do the work.

You ever did circles on a clitoris, switch up the motion and go side to side? Thats how you strafe with a DS3. Lol "I suck" I am pretty sure you wouldn't stand a chance against those guys. So instead of hating you might wanna give out some advice. Read the last part of the post. Ob my bad virgin, excuse me. With your left thumb you perform erratic circles, never doing.the same twice. Quick left and right pulls on the left thumbstick will allow you to strafe better. Is that better for ya? its all about unpredictable movement. one of my favorite moves is to start strafeing in a set pattern then all of a sudden switch it up when there brain is still traking the old pattern. a caldari suit makes the best bullet dodger because there is a big penalty the strafeing speed the more armor plates you use. this is why a heavy with all armor plates gets droped by a lighter built heavy.
