Dear pilots, stop complaining when you die. Before Charlie you went 30/0 pretty often and were invincible, turrets were just free points as were all infantry. After Charlie all I see you pilots doing is complaining that boo hoo a turret or AV killed me so they need to be nerfed now instead of going 30/0 you now go 30/1. A few things.
1. Turrets have MASSIVE blindspots! Railguns are lucky to be able to aim at the enemy MCC so watch your altitude and you are fine also it takes 4-5 shots to down a standard dropship and in addition have no range! Blaster turrets also have a large blindspot and unless you are very close you are getting chip damage! Missile turrets are a even bigger joke and are always behind a boulder.
2. AV ARE MEANT TO KILL VEHICLES! Forge Guns and Swarm Launchers are the games main two anti-vehicle weapons! Oh boo hoo a swarm launcher killed me guess what that same guy just got killed by infantry because it does nothing to infantry and the swarm of orange rockets tend to alert snipers. And forge guns tend to take a good half hour to charge, and can only be used by heavies which if I remember right you can move faster then. If you get killed by AV the game isn't broken that means its working, yet if you go 20+/0 the game is perfectly balanced and fair.
3. Vehicles are not meant to be invincible! In every game I've played in the past vehicles are not nearly as powerful as they are in Dust 514. No other game I have played gives vehicles the ability to activate a buff to restore shields, reduce damage by -40%, or increase damage to make sure you kill a tank before it lands just in case it could be a threat. At best the vehicles in other games get a small heal over time thats all. So you are MUCH MUCH better off then any other game. |

Dear condescending ground troop... I will complain when I'm killed by a buggy weapon... Everything is fine except the swarm launcher, how would you like it if you couldn't see a vehicle until it was 20 meters away, but it could see you from the other side of the map & then to boot you didn't get a hit indicator when you were shot by it?
Do you complain about other ground troops going 30 kills and little to no deaths? I did it earlier with a tac AR and a shotgun on a commando suit... Not all vehicles go like that, I'd like to see you farm a butt load in a tank/dropship in a match with me, before or after Charlie. |

If you knew what CCP was going to do with Vehicles in 1.7, would you have requested an AV nerf anyways?

If I knew what CCP was going to do with vehicles in 1.7 I would have shot all of them in the head.. in game of course. Oh, wait, I knew what they were going to do, oh well, I didn't find them ingame. If you mean Charlie, then I don't know anyone who was crying for AV nerf. I just want my pre-1.7 vehicles and AV back.

1) I can only agree with you if you're referring to turrets outside the redline.
2) That's peculiar, there are more AV QQ threads I've counted over the days than vehicle QQ threads. I was also unaware that when I get shot down, I complain about it profusely about it, I normally say, "God, that was stupid" and get on with it.
3) That's weird, I thought I was supposed to fit my ADS with the best gear possible to avoid dying. I guess only infantry have that right, how stupid of me.

You do know proto swarms run about 28-47k a piece? I know dropships cost a ton more, but you might not be aware of the fact that the survival rate of any decent AVer with swarms is pretty low?! I can die 3 to 7 times trying to drop one dropship, and that depends on if I have help or not lmao!

We keep an eye out for AV on the ground, and hack or destroy turrets for them! They have gunners! I know, insane right?! The pilot may not see the swarmer, but a second pair of eyes, can not only see him, but engage as well! So the bit about dying 3 to 7 times as an AVer is totally legit! I know because I am one, and I hunt them down!

I really don't see why there are many complaints either way. I think there is some minor tweaking that should happen on both sides but balance is pretty good right now.
The sole factor to me that is completely unbalanced is that pilots can jump in and out of their vehicles. They get 2 lives and tankers can have the best of both worlds. Calscout in a Gunnlogi (maybe Amarr now) scans everything on the field and can roll right up to it. If you beat their tank they can jump out and kill you or they can go heavy and match up their burst HMG with the SMG and 400 hp you have to defend yourself.
Because, that's why.

I never asked for Tanks to be buffed before 1.7. Just for the invisible swarms to be fixed and AV balanced. I feared the cbr 7 more than an OB in those days.
All the mlt tankers wanted tanks buffed and AV nerfed at the same time which is only reasonable in extreme situations. __________________________________________________________________________________________
As for the OP how would you feel if you are in a caldari assault suit that cost 500k and you get fluxed without any notification or warning? You are afterwards obliterated in seconds and litterally bleeding isk for the next 2-4 matches even if you run them with starter fits? Just to repeat the cycle? And this is where you have invested over 20mill sp into it?
Until you deal with that you have no right in hell to even utter our grievances and why we complain.

I would ask 2 things, the bugs get fixed and they have a nerf to turn speed, so when fired the wrong way they take longer to turn and if aimed low they bomb the ground & better yet if I fly behind something before they're close they actually hit said object instead of flying to where I was and then turning 180 degrees instantly. If this was done, then a slowdown to afterburners or increase in cd would be fine, maybe even a buff in range/speed for the swarms... I ask for balance, you ask for trololol I locked you you should die NOW!
Lots of av should indeed kill a vehicle stupid enough to go balls deep, but 1 aver should not instantly destroy all vehicles, they should have an even chance as everything does currently apart from swarms which have their funtime cloaks and easymode locks.
Also I don't Python, so unless you have trouble evading a small blaster, mounted to the front of my bus (some do, god knows why) then im bearly even a threat. Also I'm AV myself specced into swarm and forge long before vehicles (though I did pilot a gorgon like a boss, lol) So I argue for balance between both sides, not a trololol I want it easier with the one thing I do. |

Well you don't fly. The reason pilots complain about dying is because the ships are so damn expensive and loosing one per game will bankrupt us incredibly fast. My dropship costs 700k isk, I make on average about 200k per game so I need my dropship to survive 3+ games to pay it off and then start making a profit. Unless your playing PC its pretty damn hard to turn a profit. On a good day I'll break even, on a bad day I'll loose alot of money. Sure I can grind on the ground but I've spent quite a bit of sp that doesn't effect my ground game at all to fly, and would prefer to make a profit doing what I enjoy and what I skilled into.
I am enjoying the turret changes and the multidimensional battles it creates. The only thing I would change is upping the WP for blowing them up. Soon enough infantry is going to understand why pilots don't let the turrets live, especially with how easily blaster turrets slay infantry.

I can complain how there are still redline rail turrets covering the objective. Missile turret still rocks my ship from side to side completely. Collision damage still no fix. And forge and swarm are still invisible to me unless I'm right next to them. One of my favorites is a RDV appearing out of nowhere in front of me, just scraping it, and all of my HP going down. If we die by any of the above, then ADS cost comes into place... I do like the turret HP buff though!
