Luckily it was scrapped or they'd be spelling tongue as 'tung' etc.
Unfortunately some of it stuck and now we have Americans who claim to speak English but use different words and spell things wrong by English standards.
We are talking about a while country that doesn't speak properly by the language it speaks own standards lol.

My family is from Essex and Stevenage, but i did move to London (walthamstow briefly and then enfield) for a while and got to immerse myself in the Caribbean influenced slang aye.
