Can't we reduce the price of basic suits ? They are clearly inferior and there is no skill bonus applied to them, so there is no reason to buy any, as role-based equivalent suits are better and have the same price. Reducing significantly the price might give them a more interesting place in the suit market, other than merely a step toward other suits. |

I do not think that basic frames are useless.
As I understand it, Medium frames have all the same base stats as assault suits, So in terms of skill points, it would make sense to use them if assault bonuses are not so important to you. Maybe you like a race's suit, but not the weapon. Medium suits are swell for someone like me who has maxed Amarr Logistics, and no Assault Skills. While typing this I am considering getting medium suits to level 5.
I don't know about all heavies, but Amarr Heavy Frames have more high slots, and fewer low slots than Amarr Sentinels, so if all you care about is damage, then perhaps they are superior in some situations.
Did you know that Advanced light Suits have less CPU than basic scout suits? Same with higher tiers. I just think that's stupid, and that they are the only completely pointless suits.
These things considered, I do think that the basic suits should be cheaper than the specialized suits.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

Yea i agree i recently moved all my RR and CR fits to the ADV Am assault. Im Paying same price for 1 extra low compared to ADV medium frame

sentinel is actually slower then basic suit for minmatar heavy, go see for yourself.
4.20 move speed on basic vs 4.05 on sentinel

i am well aware of this disparity.
The resists make up a lot more difference than you think. |

Actually, basic medium frames are inferior as they didn't get any buff from Charlie. Less hp, less module slots, way inferior. If they get the same bonus assault got, it may make you right. until then, i must disagree with you. |
