I've had it up to my neck with all the stupid crap in dust a scout and assault suit can have more armour than a freaking heavy so if it New to dust skill in to assault or scout other wise ur screwed (ccp u successfully ****** all us heavys over well done) |

Heavy nerf hasn't affected my stats, outside of a minimal loss to available Armor on my fittings.
And, Yes - new players should go to Mediums/Assaults and get to know the most basic role, weapons, equipment, and how things work first.
I don't always blap Infantry with a Forge Gun, but when I do, that ** is hilarious.

Considering Caldari were arguably hit hardest by the nerf, and my Cal heavy friend Jacques came back on for the first time in months, saying he went 50/2 or something...
And how most Gal/Amarr heavies don't realize the slot layout change was more of a buff than anything...

My MH-82 keeps up with them just fine.
(Pro Tip: Strafe wide and Unpredictably)
Or, try the MO-4 AHMG and use those range advantages.
