I would like to do my bit in helping new players in understanding every aspect of dust.
The tax rate is 0 and there are no requirements. In fact, the newer and more inexperienced you are, the better.
This will hopefully be a case of new players coming and spending a short while simply asking questions and getting answers because as we all know, the new player experience is pretty damn brutal.
Once you feel confident enough with your knowledge of dust to branch out, I can also help you find a corporation that suits what you are looking for.
What inspired this.
The very obvious state of play that I see from new players, its a definite issue and I'm pretty certain that most simply breeze through the tutorial without reading anything at all.
I have been playing dust since day one of open beta. I have played as every role in the game extensively, used every weapon extensively and played every game mode extensively. I also play eve as well.
THIS THREAD IS UNFINISHED

New player -Xavier Zor.
Is better than most new players ii have seen actually and prefers flanking. He appears to suit being a scout or commando. Fast learner and doesn't mind getting in the sht.
hopefully he will stay.

Aye.
Had to tell him a few times that k/d is not the be all, end all in dust after he kind of stood back and let me and a guy die.
I informed him that corps are looking for dependable team players rather than a k/d padding scrubs who will leave you in the dirt and happily do nothing for the win just for the k/d.
He changed almost instantly and started getting stuck right in and he shows much promise.
He is currently running a std caldari fit with a cr and knives and was also running an fit with a cloak at one point, non scout. He is really good, maybe a new Maken /Musturd/X7 lion in the making.
I'm not interested in telling new players how to play, as hard as that can be when you see a std fit with a cloak lol, but people will only learn on their own provided they are given the correct advice to make the correct decisions.
He doesn't have a mic at the mo and i have not told him to get one yet, i don't want to overload him..
He is a flanker so scout or commando will defo be good for him. It was a joy to see him owning vets as well. I tested him in one match by getting him to continually assault an objective to keep them occupied. He died repeatedly but he didn't care which is a great sign.

It all depends on what he is looking for in a corp.
Tell me a bit about your corp.
