And not one of those ***** ones with a dual core, either. I'm going for broke, like a good logi should. Though, not only do I not know which one to get, I don't know what to look for in a laptop. All I know is... 17" screen, some kind of i7 processor, and tons of RAM. Other that... dude, I don't know, and I'm looking for help.
Logi, logi, logi, can't you see? Hit points are droppin' on the heavy.
It's "Klutch," not "Krutch."

Laptops aren't good gaming platforms. You should focus on a desktop. At least with that you have vastly more room to upgrade compared to that of a laptop that only has limited space.

As a laptop gamer all of the above statements are true.. You could get a 10x better desktop than a laptop. Mine heats up so badly it'll burn out soon I can't recommend a gaming laptop.. I'm sorry.

Check out the ASUS G750. Never had a heat problem . The fan Ports on the back are very large to help keep it cool. Only thing is thing I have is a hard time putting it in my Back Pack. Due to the way they extended the fan ports but other than that its great

This http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/category/performance-gaming-computers/27564.aspx Take your pick. If you are confident you can build your own computer. Im not sure if its cheaper though

I've built desktops, but not laptops. Well, you don't build laptops. I concur with ppl here not recommending laptops for gaming, for every reason they've stated. However, if you have reasons you need it to be a laptop, then all I can really advise you is to pay particular attention to what graphics card they come with. There are so many these days.
I used this to help me choose a laptop that could play games at a decent setting for my wife. There's a shed-load of GPUs listed there.
If you change your mind and go for a desktop, come back and let us know.
[edit]
PS. You could do worse than use Alienware laptops as a point of reference, component-wise. They have a reputation for being bloody expensive, but beasts for laptop gaming.

Buying an Alienware is like buying Proto gear. You only buy it because you want to waste money for no reason. XD

Hence my suggesting using them as a point-of-reference. Keep up Maken - before I stab you with your own knives :-p
