For the Amarr Assault (because I don't want to wait to get 800k sp to try out the Gallente one) Which setup is the best? (aside from just slapping all plates because Amarr)
394 Armor, 46.87 Reps, 7.06 sprint (8.4 seconds to full armor) 542 Armor, 37.50 Reps, 6.70 sprint (14.5 seconds to full armor) 691 Armor, 28.12 Reps, 6.37 sprint (24.6 seconds to full armor)
I'm gonna try out the 40ish reps/s one since 30/s didn't seem to be fast enough. 47/s sounds good on paper, but at 400 armor it just doesn't seem like a good idea.
Does anyone else rep tank their suit? Which suit do you use and what's your ideal amount of reps you feel are necessary?

542 Armor, 37.50 Reps, 6.70 sprint (14.5 seconds to full armor) this is what i would go with, whats in your highs?
i used to have a gal logi with 670 arm and 17.5 reps that was 1.7 and that worked well

691 Armor, 28.12 Reps, 6.37 sprint (24.6 seconds to full armor) Is the one I would run but there are times I run a full set Complex Reps on my heavy. Kinda fun to duck behind a box and pop out with full armor it makes the Reds think I have a logi with me so they rethink fighting me head on. But tweak it you can get by with one rep most of the time unless you are on a point. |

I think either of the latter two options (37.5 rep and 28.12 rep) should work well. I don't think the 46.87 rep build is as viable because your buffer would be inadequate for many engagements. I'm assuming you're using damage mods and a SCR, so you do want to be able to pause/slow down to ADS for charged shots, which means you have a good chance of taking some fire, no matter how good your position/cover.

I don't tend to go much past triple rep. I'm a Galassault though, so I guess you have a little more buffer to play around with.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

I have generally felt anything more than one repper is a bad deal but that is from the prespective of a lone wolf who typically tries to pick favorable or 'fair' encounters. The Hp recovery typically is well handeled with just one between each encounter I have rarely been caught pants down waiting on the repper to get me back to full armor.
Reactive plates on the otherhand seemingly don't repair fast enough but they do epair much better at prototype than thye used too.
Now like I said this one repper is preferable for the slow and methodical minded player. A real prowler may actually desire a second repper to make sure his down time is nearly in sync with reload checking both of his weapons.

As a Gal Assault, my play style is quite reckless and aggressive, giving my enemy breathing room while I repair is something I hate doing.
I find that around 550~ armor, 20hp/s and 8m/s sprint is the optimal combination, at least for me.
Not only can I close the gap for my Duvolle, I have enough buffer to sustain a decent amount of hits and once I'm done with my target I can already start going for the next one as my armor is quickly recharging.
Really I find that my shields tend to be the bottleneck, due to the high delay and slow recharge that Gal Assaults have.

4 reps doesn't work at all. Unlike having a repair tool on you, your reps only activate 1 second after you have stopped taking damage...or at least it felt like that.
I actually died from a CR user who took me out from 80 meters away because I couldn't rep through his very small amounts of damage per hit.
While 1 rep is a popular option, using a second one effectively doubles the speed at which you repair...so I guess I'll have to try out 2 reps later when I get on next. The question is...will I still need to run a triage hive with me or not?

On my advanced Amarr assault I run 3 complex reps and an enhanced plate. I value a high armor regen and mini aliasing my speed penalty. I was able to take on a heavy 1 to 1 because we were dancing around a supply depot and I was able to regen fast enough from near death (13 seconds later I confront him/her with full health and I finished him/her)
I also use the laser rifle so since I fight at range, fast regen is more important than bricking, though I still want a balance between the two so I have that plate instead of a fourth rep for the times I need to fight in CQC with my SMG

in my finding with my amarr assault when useing a scrambler rifle you want a high tank to stand a deal your insane damage. i like fast regen but on my amarr i run 2 complex reps and 3 plates but all so carry a armor reping nanohive.

For Gallente I usually run 20-30 reps a second.
You can duck in and out of combat pretty quickly when your not weighed down.
But Amarr tends to be slower...so maybe just stick with 10-20 reps and tank armour.

Depends how you play.
Laser benefits from more armour & less reps. You're long range but need to be in the firing line for a long time.
The reverse is true for the Scrambler. You will annihilate anything that isn't running more than 500 armour in a swift burst, so you want to be a little more mobile and require less time to engage your next target.
Destiny won't kill Dust.
CCP already did that.

I think that's because reps are on a 1 second cycle, and armor always reps at the end of the cycle. So if you go from no damage to having some damage, you need to wait for that 1 second to pass before the rep actually hits, but once it's going they'll continue to rep every second until you're at full health again. |

For some time I have obsession to try out stationary armor tanking Caldari Logi with Wyrkum Nr - each one can drop 2 nano that repair 70 points of armor per second, so 140 r/s +dropsuit bonuses +how many Wyrkum you can fit and that repair rate is combat free.

Ive made a fake gallente assault with my amarr suit as well. i use triple reps with two enhanced plates with a duvolle, with that set up ive been able to get away with 30 and 0's a lot. i personaly like triple reps because i like the buffer of 650ish armor, you can drop the hp for 4 reps, but itll cost you more powergrid.
EDIT: i have an advanced side arm and K-2 hives, occasionally you can find a blue berry repper, but this suit works great if you are soloing and want to get in the enemy's face |

I run two reps and offset with allotek hives. I also, typically, run three ferros so I'm not slowed down by the plates. It feels good and performs well.
