I'm sorry... I just cannot like a weapon that looks like a painstakingly slow firecracker that any scrub could dodge without thought.
I even struggled to hit LAVs at medium range because of that horrendous targeting reticule.
MAYBE if you were bored enough with Dust to get a Gallente commando... or just put it on your scout for the lulz... but I mean I wouldn't go above the ADV one. Waste of SP.

Just like the knives it takes time to learn the angles and the lead.
Dat direct hit damage makes it worth it.

Plasma cannons are hilariously fun, especially on a commando when you use it to burn their shields and then rip them with a rifle.

- Mass Driver
- Bolt Pistol
- Magsec SMG
- Ion Pistol
- Plasma Cannon
I actually toyed around with the PLC a long, long time ago. Back when there was only an Amarr Commando, and it must've been the best PLC user because of the bonus to reload speed.

Plasma cannon has improved greatly. I used to only use it to troll.
Mass drivers are amazing if you skill them up. Good way to make people scream. |

What I really would like to see in PLC is more complex aiming mechanic. Let's say that your aim-cross would be made from two separate parts, so you can place first one on vehicles that you want to shoot and as soon vehicle will move it shows you where you have to point your second part of aim-cross and press R1 to successfully hit that moving away vehicle if he keep the course and direction .
..and of cures it should work on infantry as it is now.

My Plasma Cannon is completely maxed except 2 levels of optimization. I have to say it is magical on my Commando suits, both Minmatar and Gallente at level 5 to get max reload speed and it becomes a BEAST weapon, though you are right you really don't NEED it over ADV but when i pull out that Allotek those ADS don't stand a chance because they have to get low enough to be the CLONE FARMERS they want to be.

PlC + PAV + Cloak (and + REs, if you can fit them) = fantastic mobile AV fitting. Great for flanking crowds and sniper hunting, too.
It's still buggy, though. Misfires, incorrectly/non-applied splash damage and projectile ghosting abound.

the problems with the PLC are that arc is brutal.. and the projectile needs to be like 2x faster travel speed.. that is all on and maybe a cpu use nerf as i think it uses far too much cpu for what it is.. as for scrubs dodgeing it.. its an AV weapon so OFC they will dodge it.

The basic is good enough for the price IMO...... But put that on a commando c1 with 2 enhanced melee boosters..... Beast for 10k....i like the plc cut its a heavy slayer

It's not easy to use but when you plink the driver out of a LAV on the move or a door gunner of a dropship well you can't help but feel good. Amarr logi with prox nades and a PLC makes for a great ambusher of HAV's.
Your game f'ing sucks, but I'll still play it, damn you! Turns out I wont.

The PLC is godly.
It's also in my top three of "most fun weapons to use," the other two being Bolt Pistols and Nova Knives. It just takes some time getting use to the arc and travel time of the projectile. |
