We are cleaning the CPM section of the forums and more. However there are some administration tasks involved in getting CPM1 up and running at full speed. The handover is in full swing and the administration tasks are all but complete.
CCP have to be certain that the group is up to speed. Remember that CCP is a business and letting outsiders see inside is a big risk. Caution is a wise move. As a CPM member I am making sure I know exactly what is going on before I open my mouth and blunder my way across the forums. There is a lot of work for me to catch up on. The process of getting up to date is not an easy one.
CCP staff holidays, admin restrictions and catch up all impact CPM1. We all have to make sure we know the limits of the NDA before we can speak about topics. Personally I am being cautious at this stage while I come to terms with the things that CCP wish to be public and those that are protected for very good reasons.
Rest assured that a great deal of work is being done. The CPM generates for me about 1000 Skype messages and 30 emails a day. There are video calls, early morning meetings and messages to and from CCP. Last week I spent 11 hours speaking to players in game about all sorts of issues (mostly discussing snipers, charlie changes and FW mechanics). We meet with CCP and with each other. I'm really liking how assessible you guys are trying to be. I've never been so hopeful about the future of this game since the Rouge Wedding. Sounds like you guys are doing all of the right things. o7

So do I. A lot. We need a strong case and a clear and concise list of things to put in it. Item 1: Full racial parity: missing heavy weapons, vehicles, turrets and installations. Item 2: Bring back the old vehicle modules/fits/variants/skills. Item 3: Mechanism to sell junk salvage back to CCP. A P2P market is probably out of reach, but I'd settle for selling stuff back for what it costs to buy (or even a bit less). Item 4: Bring back corp battles with team deploy (no ISK or SP to prevent abuse).
The CPM should collate a list, and run a survey of the community to figure out the priorities, once you guys get settled in, of course.

What the community wants doesn't matter. What CCP wants to do and has the manpower to do does, and the answer to both of those is: not a whole hell of a lot. If your requests involve more than changing numbers in a DB somewhere, you are SOL. Deal with it, and when the CPM tells you otherwise, call them out for being shills and apologists. I think a strong case can be made that full racial parity in DUST is in CCPs best financial interests. If they can string the current playerbase along to help fund Legion development costs, then a small investment in development resources may help pay for itself. CCP will have to have full racial parity at launch anyways, so it makes sense to let the DUST community to help balance these. If they're going to make these assets for Legion, the amount of effort to downscale for DUST would likely be pretty modest with a large gain for CCP. It's a smart financial decision with a high return on investment.
Legion needs to launch with good balance in a complete state. This should help get positive initial reviews which will help launch the product with positive momentum.
