I remember there was a time between like 1.X and 1.6/1.7 where you could go onto the starmap, and choose certain battles, I think it was exclusively FW matches but I can't remember. You could even choose what side you were on.
Whatever happened to that? And I was wondering why they took it away...

you could go to the fw starmap and the planet/moons had a star or something to let you know
there was a fw battle going on

Yeah I knew I wasn't crazy, I wonder what happened to that...It would've been extremely useful right cause then you could just sync with an eve player and tell them exactly where you're going without having to wait 10 minutes for a match for them to tell you it's too far for them to get to...

CCP took it out for no reason I guess it sucks cause in one of my old corps we did an FW match and it was so cool because we used the battle finder, and I got left out of one of the matches. But I asked them the planet and district, and I was able to find it and join their match on their side.
It felt sooo coolll...

Way back in Skirmish 1.0 days, you could choose any battle you wanted to be in on a selection screen that showed the server, how many people were Q'd for it, and on what map it was going to be.
