please elaborate on which part is broken with the soma/s and madrugar and our gallenten engineers may get on to fixing it.....but we probably wont as our hull designs are far superior to caldarian ones.

If you dont, it's the area you are allowed to aim. A min and max elevation. Cal tanks are limit to -5 while gal tanks have about -20 min elevation. You can aim right through the modelling of the gal tank. Any real tanker would of already known this. Its sad that players have to pay other players to get the devs to fix core mechanics and goes to show how little the care.

Currently, if you fire the large blaster semi-auto, the dispersion either doesn't or barely increases... back to sniping infantry across 70-80 meters.

Can you further explain by what you're referring to? Hit detection issues? My apologies, but I frankly have no idea...
If it is hit detection, then it seems fine to me.

Ah... now I understand. It is quite strange that they allow the soma/madrugar to have a broader angle than the sica/gunnlogi. That's how it has been for as long as I remember. I haven't the slightest clue as to why it is the way it is...

Doesn't this have something to do with the height of the turret + the physical dimensions of the tanks involved? Doesn't a blaster turret on a Maddy sit "higher" than on a Gunnlogi?

I would assume that the models themselves are the same, and the art skins are that go on them are different. Are you sure that the aim boxes are not actually the same, and its just a graphical art error that allows the turrets to go into the body?
This could be why CCP has done nothing about it for so long. If the aim boxes are exactly the same on all four models, they probably feel its more important to fix other stuff rather than graphical errors...
I only play dust514ums now. It was always more fun than the actual game anyways.

Yes i am sure the aim boxes are differnt while the hit boxes are the same and its not graphical. Its the core aiming coding at fault here.

I heard the Gunnlogi used to be even more egregious, but CCP fixed it without fixing the Madrugar too. Makes it a real pain to fight on uneven surfaces...

They were actually the same pre uprising, its only when blam! Got his butt to work fixed the painfully clear post uprising turret mismatched aiming vs camera did this problem show up. Guess he did trial and error and never changed the rest back once he found the correct code to fix. This ccp so its highly likely and no dev play tested to check it. You know since it was the first time the devs even knew they had vehicles in their game.
