the whole reason they will not is due to the lack of risk vs great reward(isk) associated with BPO gear.. i mean if you want BPO stuff.. you can get recruiting people..
just remember.. dust is working on balancing vehicles, weapons, modules, suits.. and so on, so that data can be used for Legion and once legion is finally released client side updates will also resume on Dust.
and iirc, CCP also stated that dust assets/sp (probably not isk) will be migrated to legion basically i think they will be mirror images of each other jsut that dust is for ps3 and legion is for pc with shinier graphics and so on
ps.. iirc you can get an ADVANCED BPO suit from 50 recruits getting to 100k WP

FYI I have plenty of blueprints. They are part of the reasons I enjoy Dust so much. I want other and new players to be able to buy BPOs if they WANT to.
The Risk versus Rewards is bullcrap because Starter Fits. And you can always run out of cash buying Advanced and Proto gear (and dying a lot).

Its not advanced, its actually the Beta C-II suit Basic suit, so its not Advanced.
Though, I still wonder about its slot layout, base stats and Cpu/Pg.

You know once legion comes out they are shutting down dust for good. This whole migration thing is so the players dont flip out. The Aussie server is just the first of more to come

Remember all those guys that bought up 100s of BPOs before the end of the open beta, than CCP decided not to at the last minute. Yea I am still laughing about it, but if they let us buy and sell BPOs we wouldn't need CCP to bring them back.

The solution is to delete your BPO's and remove starter fits from the menu after 2 million ISK has been attained.
Then everyone has to play correctly. Yay! |

I have most of the bpos.
Among them, I have 8 toxin smgs and 8 or 9 dragonfly scout bpos that I would love to trade/sell.
Anyway X........for the newbs.

there's no point in not having the BPOs currently. there is no player market. There's nothing.
There isn't even decent ISK rewards to encourage people to die in a fire in expensive stuff.
LP still requires ISK, advanced fits via LP (commando) cost 500 LP so 1/2 the baseline reward for winning a battle. you have to win two to get a single fit.
or you can pick your favorite LP suit/weapon and just buy that.
If the ISk rewards were significantly higher in the game I would absolutely say "No more goddamn BPOs."
the only advantage they really give is saving 5,000 ISK/Death. That can add up, yes, but not enough to be able to protostomp, or even run advanced fits consistently.
Plus there is the disparity in that only a few, select pieces of equipment have BPOs.
And I can't give copies of the ones I have to spacepoor newbies who need the leg up.
If there was a player market (Or even just a "sell trash in inventory" option) I would wholeheartedly agree with rejecting BPOs.
But we can't even sell the salvage we can't use that's cluttering up our inventories. That would be a MASSIVE and useful source of income. |
