They introduce something into the game and they tend to make it right the FIRST time.
Then when a hotfix comes around, CCP just turns the suit into something else.
FLIP-A-ROO -n- CCP changing the racial bonuses of a suit after every hotfix.
But I don't understand why they can't just leave well enough alone.
People start whining through the forums and CCP comes up with these spontaneous ways to "rebalance" the battlefield.
All the whiners on the forums determines how CCP does their flip-a-roo.
They have to please all the whiners and flip-a-roo all the suits to where it doesn't do what the faction intended for it.
Then after the hotfix, they don't realize how it drives them away from what they were planning from the beginning.
Yes this is my first time whining on the forums but I'm not whining.
I'm actually standing up for CCP against all the whiners.
This game is suppose to be about war and how one faction can gain an advantage over their opposing faction.
This is why Dust 514 is one the most played games on PS3 because of these unique features.
And yes Dust 514 is a hard game and it definitely should be.
It is suppose to take time and knowledge to be competitive if many have not realized.
I may be mistakened but from what I've seen,
CCP is steering away from how one faction's suit can counteract with their opposing faction's suit.
In hotfix Charlie, the only two counteractions I see is the weapons affecting armor/shield more efficiently and the defensive capabilities of the Sentinel suits.
There are a few examples that express my claim such as Scouts and Assaults.
Since the introduction of scouts,
the scout war between Caldari and Gallente was all about scan precision and profile dampening.
People skilled into the Caldari scout to give their squad a precise scan to turn up Gallente scouts.
People skilled in Gallente scouts to take down the Caldari scouts that helps the squad with scans.
Now in Hotfix Charlie, the Caldari scout can't even do what it says in its description which is to find DAMPENED targets such as their opposing faction, Gallente.
They have made the Gallente scout unable to be counteracted upon.
I must say that CCP had it right on the previous hotfix.
The Amarr scout has now took upon the precision of the Caldari scout and there is no way that the Minmatar scout can counteract that with their Nova knives bonus and a quick hack speed. This is just a suggestion but how about only give the "hack bonus of an objective" to the Minmatar scout and the Amarr scout should have a bonus that clearly shows that it is able to undo what the Minmatar scout has done such as a "counterhack bonus of an objective" which it only takes the amount of time for a regular hack to do a counterhack.
Also the Amarr Assaults are absolutely ridiculous, it is able to have 1000 armor and an unholy Scrambler rifle in which no doubt they can punk out a Minmatar Assault with their eyes closed, and a bag of Cheetos in their left hand.
Maybe even give the Minmatar Assault an ability to have a "bonus of weapon range's effectiveness" to outwit the Amarr Assault's Scrambler Rifle.
As for the Caldari and Gallente Assaults, they seem to not counteract one another.
The Caldari Assault has the "fast reload bonus" and how does Gallente counteract that? A better hip fire?
The Gallente Assault should have the "clip size bonus" to compensate for the reload of the Caldari Assauit.
All I'm suggesting is that CCP needs to actually sit down and discuss how each faction is able to counteract their opposing faction such as Assaults, and Scouts.
I'm not suggesting any buffs but a change in a suit's racial bonus to clearly counteract the opposing faction's racial bonus.
In other words, CCP needs to rediscover all four factions and reintegrate this into each suit.
This hotfix most definitely requires a rework of how a faction designs a suit to counteract their opposing faction.
I have admired CCP for a long time since the beginning of this game.
I admire the ability that they can gradually introduce new suits, weapons, and vehicles but they need to clarify the abilities of each faction and how they counteract the opposing faction. AGREE AND STICK WITH IT.
Counteraction needs to be restored in the skill sheet of each suit!
Not do the ol' flip-a-roo when a hotfix comes around!
Thank you for reading.
