The CPM is a representative body elected by players of DUST 514 to give advice to CCP on the ever-changing attitudes of the gaming community here.
They are intended to be our feedback and bullsh*t filter in order to give meaningful, well-reasoned advice to the developers. CCP funds their efforts with trips to shanghai to present their case and feedback directly to the developers face-to-face so that there is a relationship, not merely a CCP employee tiredly sifting through poorly-worded post after post from angry, incoherent neckbeards.
The CPM and (In EVE) CSM are elected to represent our voice, our requests and our interests. They are not elected to forcefeed whatever bullsh*t agenda you think they need to push. They do not have any final say in what buttons CCP pushes on DUST.
If Rattati decides that balance is served by cutting the base HP of all dropsuits by half, and the CPM says "No, no, you're my favorite dev, please don't make the ignorant masses hate you!" Rattati can still push the butan and nerf all the things, and there isn't a goddamn thing the CPM can do about it.
So you elect the people who can provide meaningful, coherent feedback in a manner that doesn't make the Devs want to kill themselves every time they hear the voices of the people we elect. |

Consider this is how you all think Goons post and act. When we troll, we try to do it with style, humor and creative induction of rage. In short, we keep it classy (and nade gank you).
This gentleman's behavior currently exemplifies the word "Pubbie." Please learn from this example of how not to post questions to Devs and CPMs if you want serious responses to your questions that don't involve thread locks and bans.
This troll thread earns a 1/10 for incoherent ranting, poor grammar, bad spelling, random, artless cussing under the profanity filter, and inability to functionally interact with the community, even to induce anger. |

More specifically the CPM are bound by non-disclosure agreements, so if they say something CCP has not authorized for dissemination or isn't public knowledge they can be subjected to legal action.
So what would you like them to blog? Discussed nade ganking being re-implemented in pub matches. Findings inconclusive.
Discovered Rattati misses Lutefisk. Saberwing has plaid pants. Discussed NDA things. NDA conclusions were made.
Pretty freaking boring (and useless to the community to boot).
