No, don't make the game render more, it lags enough already. Hire a professional Unreal wizard to optimize the game first, then increase rendering, then increase ranges. Well, we know Dust wont get optimized in any way anymore, so, hmm... reduce the range even more to the point where we can actually see that we are being fired upon? It gets really annoying really fast when you just all of a sudden take swarm hits with no audio or visual warning and then you are thrown into a building, never even getting a chance to react in any way. It's like infantry getting a lock-on homing corner cutting Thale's shot in the face from someone who is the size of an ant and will not render or leave any kind of bullet trail.

It's not the swarms that are horrible... I think swarms are in a great place personally but had to just comment. Corner-cutting? Now they're like fat drunk slugs waking up from a hangover in a violent ejection that attempt to blumber around the map to find you. They still cut corners pretty hard! Out running them is still the only way to get missiles off your tail. If swarms ever missed then I would agree with you.

For DS Pilots, I agree. Outrunning is your only option. Though I've had many pilots avoid my swarms by curving around a tower, the majority of missiles missed are from a DS outrunning. Not a lot of pilots are willing to brave going around that tower because hit detection is so buggy and awful for you guys.
