There is comstructive criticism. Its overshadowed by the sheep herd like, "make my items stronger and theirs weaker cause it kills me" mindset.
The key is objectivity, something that community has trouble envisioning. Maybe CPMs should be the only ones communicating with CCP instead of general discussions as a whole. That requires trust that the CPM also looks at things objectively.
Ive been playing for two years and I have seen changes proposed that are entirely selfish and not thought out. Only the immediate effect is looked at.
I know some.might be tired of me bringing up this example but its a good one. Scanners. No one hardly used them until some of the few who did asked for WP for killed scan targets. Everyone thought it was a good idea. Only a few people thought beyond the immediate. That added WPs (incentive) to scans would cause a influx of scanner users. You should be wanting to scan for squad benefits, not for WPs. What happened? Everyone jumped into scanners and scannerinas were born which caused their inevitable nerf into oblivion which also impacted honest users who now had to dump the tool for a more viable option.
So objectivity, the understanding of the impact pre and post is needed.

So objectivity, the understanding of the impact pre and post is needed. Uhm, what? We all knew that, why do you think everyone asked for the WP gain to be so small? A lot of us thought 10 was fine, we got 15 instead. There's a reason beyond immediate use to use every other equipment if it effects something physically, scanning does just that, physically reveals enemies on your map. It was be unfair to anyone who spec scan to not be rewarded. It's CCP's fault for not calculating that in with everything else when it came to total WP To earn WP cost. But 5000 WP is ******* ridiculous - that's just taking away OB's from pubs completely. Should of been upped to 3500.
Of everything in my post, you decided the scanner part should be discussed further? Not the entire context of what I'm expressing?
Here's two points you should take from my post.
1. Constructive criticism is present, its just overlooked. Negativity is more focused on than the positive
2. We must also look at things objectively. We must examine a theory, the ins and outs to get a better understanding so we don't end up with suggestions that are implemented that does more harm than good.

PoP SoTa wrote: yea, sorry, your post sorta bored me on that content. Preaching about how people should post in GD when you actually are referring to the format Feedback section uses is just sorta silly and makes me think your all idiots.
To assume that of all is to make oneself a fool and vulnerable.
No, I mainly camp around GD, rookie section and war room. I have seen it for myself how that scanner thing went, right here in GD.
People need to start speaking more in the GD. Cause like I said in your thread, GD runs your Dust 514. Their tears has been changing this game for a while now. It's a bit aggravating at times.

I'll blow your mind for a second - CCP actually looks at Feedback waaaay more. They just don't discuss it as much there for some odd reason. But if you want to be taken seriously by CCP it's the best approach. What you tend to see is that CCP looks at GD to see how the game trends are - there stats don't always work to show a players enjoyment, the ScR might be **** on paper but if by the use of the gun people aren't enjoying it GD will be the place to turn too to find that out and the many opinions and examples of why. Feedback doesn't offer that. But if you want numbers changed, rather then mechanics, Feedback is where you need to be. GD changes mostly effect general game mechanics like movement and handling, while feedback deals with the gritty work.
