For a game that doesn't provide a quick mode of personal transport, it doesn't make sense for vehicle recall time to be longer than 2 seconds.
I will probably spend more time running from point to point now.
You mean your massive armored vehicles don't magically disappear after 5 seconds?
Wow. It's almost like it takes time to have an RDV come down from high orbit and pick up your ride.

Maybe you should stop taking out vehicles when you aren't prepared to lose them?
I wish I could recall my dropsuit on the fly and get a new one. Nope. I have to find a supply depot.

No, no its not. It was needed to stop people like you being dickbats - that is all. If I use a dropship to get from one side of the map to the other, and then recall it, is that being a dickbat. God, there are so many haters in this community. No wonder people leave summarily.

Also: If the thing is purely transport, then use a cheap dropship.
Why on earth are you so messed up about loosing a cheap non-fitted dropship?
