I've saved 6mil SP waiting for the assault suit fix to drop and it is finally here. The plasma rifle is my weapon of choice and Gallente my dropsuit. (no fotm here) Any advice on how to spend these points wisely?
I'm thinking damage mod to at least 3, armor plates and armor rep to 5. I would like to have rep at 8/s and an ehp around 700.
I am also thinking dual role with Gal Scout if possible or have sp left to skill up damps and prec.
What say you all?

there are two pretty OP builds for the gal assault.
one is DMG mods (take that to 5 trust me and start working on prof 5 and sharpshooter 5 for your AR) in your high slots
and complex repper (or two :P) and the rest plates with a healing/ammo hive as equip
the other is
extender high complex repper or 2 the rest complex reactive plates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the buff makes the reps you get insane while still maintaining decent ehp.
the dmg mod fit is better in CQC and the rep fit has better sucess in more open maps due to the ability to disengage easyer and reengage faster.
this works in the current meta in a more limited aspect and will become fully viable come charlie...
work on things in this order
rep 5 armor 5 dmg mod 5 prof 5 sharpshooter 5
just take things to 5 as fast as you can before moving onto other skills, proficiancy 5 is going to suck but it makes damage mods BEAST

What say you all? i used to run that suit. take damage mods to 5 and armor reps to 5 put more reps on the suit don't stack all them plates you will be turtle slow and scout food with your short ranged weapon.

Nice! Forgot to mention I already have prof 5 and sharpshooter 5 as well as ammo 3 and reload 3 and op 1
Yes, I have one suit with two mlt reps and one basic reactive. I was surprised at how fast 8/s could get me back into action.

experament with the builds i gave a little bit as its hard to say weather 1-2 complex reps is optimal and weather enh plates or ferroscale plates are the better options (but i swear those proto reactices are amazing now)

Get the amarr assault. More HP, better PG+CPU and a better bonus instead of the silly 5% less dispersion on AR's per lvl. And to put a cherry on top it aswell has on proto the same slot layout which is 3H+5L.

Yes, I have one suit with two mlt reps and one basic reactive. I was surprised at how fast 8/s could get me back into action. with 2 complex reps you will get around 20hps and still leaves you with 3 more lows to jack up the armor if you like that. PS carry a armor rep nanohive to.

LMAO i had the proto gallente assault back in the day i didn't like it. i just got the proto amarr its by far the better suit if you like to be a slow plate assault and scrambler rifle bonus blows that crap assault rifle bonus out the water.

What are you plates and reps at? Those should be at 5 for any Gal or Amarr.
I'd be careful to not commit too much to damage mods at first. Make sure you can fit the suit with complex armor mods and weapons. Then look to see your cheapest SP investment to make it fit (light weapon operation over Elec L5 for example).
If you have any left after getting complex damage mods, armor stuff, and making it fit I'd look at getting your Biotics skilled up then your red and green bottles.

Here are my recommendations. Bear in mind that I don't know what skills, exactly, you have and these are all from level 0. If you have some levels trained already, it'll be significantly cheaper.
Gallente Assault to 5 - 2.4 mil SP Armour Repairers to 5 - 960k Armour Plating to 5 - 960k
You already have a very solid AR skill base, so you don't need anything more from there, I think. Given how thoroughly filled out that is, even with luxuries like prof 5, I'm going to go ahead and guess you already have engineering and electronics 5. If not, here are their costs from 0-5.
Engineering 0-5 : 2.3 mil Electronics 0-5: 2.3 mil
From 4-5 instead is 777,300 SP each.
It's possible that you have all of these things already. Again, I don't know what skills you have.
So here's a list of luxury items that you might want to invest in.
Dropsuit Biotic Upgrades 5 - 640k SP Kinetic Catalysation 5 - 960k SP - Kincats are surprisingly useful for Galassaults. Post Charlie it's actually quite economical to fit one as well.
Handheld Weapon Upgrades 5 - 640k SP
It might be worth training the EWAR suite, especially if you're looking to go into the Galscout afterwards.
Precision Enhancement 5 - 960k Profile Dampening 5 - 960k Range Amplification 5 - 960k
Training these is also quite useful for the Galassault because the passive scanner on it becomes more useful and you can start to evade some types of scan. It'll also give you pretty much everything you need to start getting a scout. If you've trained biotics up as well that'll be useful.
I'm not sure how you're doing on equipment and there's a whole range of choices for that so I'll leave that out.
Ever considered the ion pistol? It's a terrible weapon. But you might feel good while using it, who knows:
Ion Pistol Operation 5 - 640k Ion Pistol Sharpshooter 5 (essential if you want to actually use it) - 940k.
Other stuff for it is just fluff, really.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

If your base stats are not to 5 then I would place them there first. If so armor/rep to 5 and AR to pro 3 should do just fine.

I would only go to level 33 and use the advanced version until you have all proto modules...but if you've saved up that much sp might as well spend the 2.5 now to unlock the proto suit even if it's not a good idea to use it at the moment.
If you are just going to armor tank with slow regen, go Amarr. If you want mobility and 30 armor reps per second, go gallente.
Gallente are all about CQC, strafing, and having the regenerative power to keep coming back. If that's not your playstyle then you need to rethink youur decision. Armor tanking a gallente suit is just going to make you lose battles when you go against the Amarr assaults who will be doing it 10 times better.
Unless you're really all about making your AR have a very small spread...(which might make it harder to use)
If I were you I'd try out both suits, but that'll cost you abot 800k sp for each suit to advanced...and you really don't need two assault suits...

What would you choose. An extra 1m/s or 140HP?
If it's the former, congratulations! Gal Assault is for you. If it's the latter, you're better off with Amarr Assault.

What say you all? just go amarr like the rest.. your missing out on nearly 300 armor hp while still beign able to field 17% dmg mods in the highs and 5 shotting most shield tankers
